All these comments about Ace"s appearance... what do you judgemental folks look like?! Ace is clean and sober and as a lifelong fan I'd rather have him around still rockin with some weight on him rather than him struggling with his addictions. One and only Ace!!!!
@@trumprocks2779 gee thanks for pointing that out. Just as they are entitled to their opinions... I'm also entitled to mine. No feelings hurt here, just simply stating how I feel.
All of these guys have paid their dues...they tour hard and give their all every show. Great chemistry between all of them and Ace is NO ego tyrant....I love it that he has a "band" mentality and lets everyone express and deliver their unique energy. At the end of a show like this, night after night, you can well imagine the toll it takes. I don't understand how people can judge so harshly the power dynamic. You got to admit that Ace is the most talented member of Kiss. He and the entire ORIGINAL band should be inducted into the hall of fame as Rules state. he has my vote since the first album I bought , dressed to kill came out in 1973.
+GrnFriday Grn Agree with you. This sucks big time! I know Ace is now sober and that helped his guitar playing but unfortunately he's not even the shadow of what he used to be in the mid '70's anymore. I know many fans have a hard time with Tommy Thayer but TT is in excellent shape both physically and musically and does the job on stage night after night. I hate to say that because I love Ace a lot but unfortunately he's washed out.
Kiss should play the songs from the Acoustic set at the latest Kiss Kruise.. Paul sounded good... all low vocals... don't really think fans care about the set list at this point.
The drummer sings it great, but I still would like to hear ace sing it, even in his own style. He may not be a great singer, but his voice is listenable all the same....it's almost like " casual streetwise attitude ", and sounds cool because he doesn't push it too much. Brilliant guitar from ace, and the other guy is good, but seems to overdo it a bit by copying him.
I was there. Just behind you a little to the left. Actually pretty much center stage, third row back. Man, how time flies. Now KISS is coming to Corpus in two weeks. I'll be in Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam. I almost delayed my trip, but, meh, KISS never dies and they always come back. I would have delayed it for Ace, though.
@Lance Freeman My first thought that it was a tape of Paul Stanly but I worked out it the drummer sing and he has a great voice wish it was the bass player or Guitarest singing
Don’t get me wrong, I like Ace. For a dude who never learned to read music, he pulled it off back in the day. But is this really the best gig he can get today? I guess it pays the bills.
I know I'm going to catch hell for this but this is one of the very few KISS songs that I like and can tolerate. If it wasn't for Gene and Paul I might have liked them after I turned 13.

so the drummer is singing? he sounds great! and they said ace didn't play on this track, well anyone can tell he is more than capable of rockin' it to the Nth Degree!
I wonder what it's like for Ace to play this song now. Just going by his various interviews, he might shrug it off, but the many times, years ago, that must have some significance to play it now.
My guess is that sober means he is not drinking or using harder drugs but iam totally convinced he is still taking prescription drugs like benzos downers etc . He is probably on anti depressants as well . After decades of hard drug and alcohol abuse most people need to be on prescription meds like benzos and anti depressants to help off aet the damage from years of abuse and to regulate mood and basic coping skills .
Ace has always staggered around drunk, high or sober. I think it’s just his type of swagger. Impressive since he spent all those years wearing those platforms boots and didn’t actually fall often. 😁
Wow, I’ve never seen so many arrogant A-holes making negative comments in my life! Get over yourselves not everybody is in perfect shape, especially when you get into your 60’s your body just doesn’t burn fat the way it did when we were younger.... Ace will be 68 in April so he’s no spring chicken anymore!
this is honestly sad I love Ace and it seems so sad to see him doing these small gigs when he used to do stadiums with kiss. and now kiss is still doing stadiums without him. Makes me pretty sad. but i hope he's happy
Ace was touring Clubs all through the 90s nothing changed really . I seen them Play the Limelight in NYC several times, and easily sell out the capacity of the clubs

He can barely play guitar. He sounds like a beginner.
Incredible vocal. To sing and play drums at same time like that is talent. Kiss will never sound like that ever again live..
Best version I've heard from anyone since ACE was in Kiss. At 3:55 is just simply classic.
The drummer sounds more like classic Paul Stanley than Paul Stanley does now.
strtngfrsh Actually, the drummer sounds waaaay better than Paul.
That's what I said in a different way.
I was thinking the same thing actually....I'll give Paul credit for maintaining his voice for 30 years but anything since 2009 is painful to listen to
Is he singing? Can't tell because the cameraman keeps the camera on the guitars.
It sounds to me like they're playing along to a live recording of Paul's voice. Probably from the 90s or the early 2000s
Keep rockin Ace. Not bad for a plumber 😀
😂😂
Excellent 😂😂😂
For all who keep referring to the 2nd guitarist his name is Richie Scarlet. Very talented and been around forever
Until Ace fired him a couple of months ago...
@@johncaash7868 why he fired him?
I thought it was a tape of the original vocal at first. Sounded great.
I thought the same thing!! :D
Same here!
I don’t mean to be rude but it sounds nothing like Pauls original track
that the drummer singing??? goddam! that sounds good!!! I thought it was a recording! wow... thats fuckin impressive.
yes, the voice is the drummer
Sounding better than Kiss, I have to say. Right on, Ace and friends!
Ace Frehley one of "best senses" of guitar solo in rock history...
The drummer needs to give Paul Stanley some vocal lessons
Hahaha. But to be fair Paul has had a lot of vocal chord problems and I do believe he had surgery on his throat which is giving him trouble.
kudos to the drummer... great job !!
That 2nd guitarist thinks they're there to see him. Hahaha
I think he's trying to make up for the fact that Ace looks like they just woke his from his nap.
Perfectly right =) He's really doing his best to steal the show.
Exactly. Well put.
He looks like he's totally tripping, either that or drunk
That second guitarist is making the show!!! If I paid to see ACE and he acted like that I'd DEMAND my money back
I was hoping Ace was gonna sing it.
Out of his range
@@MrAdamJoel Yes, high C... The more I hoped Ace'd give it a try.
This is my favorite kiss solo sad I can’t go to their last tour
Thx for the like
And to the Kiss fans of 2017, this is how this sound should sound.
Sadly Kiss struggle to pull this off now.
leokimvideo This is decidedly how it should not sound. 1976, everyone in attendance, and in shape. That's how it should sound.

Is nobody going to mention how great that sounded ? But come on Ace , I put more energy into mowing my lawn
These guys including Ace are wacked out of their heads and its awesome. Because they're killing it.
Ace tells "THE BEST" stories, after a few drinks...
Ace ALWAYS tells great stories ; P
his guitar sound is so unique and its what KISS is missing..... he is the backbone of the KISS sound
I didn't know Keith Richards joined aces band!
ahahahahahahahahahahaahahah

That's some funny shit !!

I’m not worthy! The Drummer kicks ass! He doesn’t need a 100 piece drum set!
Ace might finally be sober, but I'm not so sure about the other guitar player.
The YT autoplay bumped me into a KISS video. I quickly dumped back looking for more live ACE solo band stuff. ACK!
I'm an Ace Frehley fan. But you all still make me laugh. Thank you very much for all these comments. This is alot of fun. !!! LOL LAMO .
The drummer was the real star on this one......
Ace looks like the only sober one on the stage. Good for him!
Sounds great Ace!
Wonderful solo!
Ace is the man
That drummers sounds amazing. I thought it was the vocal track from Alive II (but tweaked to sound better)
Still love Ace Frehley’s solos!
He's not singing and didn't even bothered to play lead guitar. Ace, I love you so much.

Maybe Ace copies Ritchie
Ezra Pound he’s probably loaded on something which might explain the moves since Ace was always on something in the 70’s.

This looks like a PSA against drug abuse.
Probably alcoholic neuropathy
omg....it is best sung from old times ... the singer is god!
Richie looks like Ace did, before he got sober.
I keep expecting KISS-like stage movements because I’ve watched so many liver performances of this song with KISS
Wth how did I miss Frehley in Corpus fuuuuu. Also it was 1983
I didn't know Sean Bean played bass.
