All of these guys have paid their dues...they tour hard and give their all every show. Great chemistry between all of them and Ace is NO ego tyrant....I love it that he has a "band" mentality and lets everyone express and deliver their unique energy. At the end of a show like this, night after night, you can well imagine the toll it takes. I don't understand how people can judge so harshly the power dynamic. If you've been to an Ace show you may get it. If you are a casual hero worshiping fan maybe not. These are human beings doing more with what they love than most of us ever will outside of our fantasies so please, enjoy the experience and show some respect. Peace.

You got to admit that Ace is the most talented member of Kiss. He and the entire ORIGINAL band should be inducted into the hall of fame as Rules state. he has my vote since the first album I bought , dressed to kill came out in 1973.

The drummer sings it great, but I still would like to hear ace sing it, even in his own style.
He may not be a great singer, but his voice is listenable all the same....it's almost like " casual streetwise attitude ", and sounds cool because he doesn't push it too much. Brilliant guitar from ace, and the other guy is good, but seems to overdo it a bit by copying him.

+GrnFriday Grn Agree with you. This sucks big time! I know Ace is now sober and that helped his guitar playing but unfortunately he's not even the shadow of what he used to be in the mid '70's anymore. I know many fans have a hard time with Tommy Thayer but TT is in excellent shape both physically and musically and does the job on stage night after night. I hate to say that because I love Ace a lot but unfortunately he's washed out.

The audience is there to see ace . So without ace nobody would show up . And besides you have to be able to actually write music. That people want to hear . There is a big a big difference between being a hired band playing another person's material and actually writing and recording music that will make your band an attraction . Musicians and song writers are not always the same thing . Sometimes those 2 come in the same package but most times they do not. I can stand on a stage and play another person's material note for note but can I write material that would full up a room ? Hell no. Ability to play a guitar and the ability to write original music on a guitar are 2 very different skill sets .

Saw Ace Frehley and Peter Criss on their bad Boys of Kiss club tour and I think he did this song man it sounded like the classic Kiss song.

Ace says he is sober now but looks like he's staggering to me!

    • @adamwatson6916

My guess is that sober means he is not drinking or using harder drugs but iam totally convinced he is still taking prescription drugs like benzos downers etc . He is probably on anti depressants as well . After decades of hard drug and alcohol abuse most people need to be on prescription meds like benzos and anti depressants to help off aet the damage from years of abuse and to regulate mood and basic coping skills .

Ace has always staggered around drunk, high or sober. I think it’s just his type of swagger. Impressive since he spent all those years wearing those platforms boots and didn’t actually fall often. 😁

Could his movements be due to alcoholic neuropathy? I wasn't there, so I certainly wouldn't know.

They performed at "Brewster Street Icehouse" it's a bar and grill....a lot of big bands have passed by. For up close intimate performances.
