Of all the original members of Kiss, Ace seems the nicest and most "regular guy" sort of person. A guy you could have a beer with and just shoot the shit and laugh.

Ace Frehley's playing on the first six records literally taught me to play lead guitar. This is a guitarist with a very basic and simple guitar vocabulary but who was highly imaginative and had a ton of flair. Thanks Ace.

Too bad he didn't play on every track of the first 6 albums. He and Peter were so messed up they needed to hire people to play in their place. But he still helped KISS become what they were in the 70's.Iconic!

Peter Criss actually seems to be the most approachable but Ace would be a blast to joke around with. Gene Simmons would be an absolute stick in the mud. I am not sure about Paul but he did place a guitar pick in my hand once when he saw i was never going to catch one. Bruce Kulick seemed to be a nice guy. Bruce was hitting me in the head with picks while playing to my section because i, like an idiot, was watching gene or Paul and not paying attention to him in front of me. I finally noticed after having people grabbing picks off my shoulder etc that he was hitting me with. He gave me a big smile and I thought it was so cool.

I remember Ace stealing the show in Anchorage Alaska in January of 2000. Barely got thru the pass from Kenai before an avalanche. My girlfriend thought I was nuts, until she saw the original KISS line-up perform.
Saw him before in '77 & '80, his new album gave me goosebumps. Ace Frehley Forever!

As my all time favorite guitar player, I would love to meet Ace. I would hope he would take a picture and give an autograph. But I understand he probably gets swamped by people and yeah they should respect it when he's having dinner and wait for the appropriate time to ask.

Ace and Peter are the only two members of that legendary line up I can imagine sitting down and having a conversation with. They've been through a lot and I personally think Kiss and a lot of other bands made it too big. The music is one thing that's what they are here for, but then comes substance abuse, depression, invasion of privacy, rudeness from jealous other members like Gene and Paul who are assholes this happens to every band who make it really big or nearly every band like that. It's a shame. They start as brothers and then it all goes down the tubes. I can't relate to lack of sobriety. I've never been into drugs or drink. I saw especially what drugs can do and how evil they are. I lost a lot of good friends who either went insane on abuse or eventually overdosed or killed themselves. I wish my teenaged years hadn't been such a harsh and unforgiving time, but my whole life is like that especially now making it miraculous I'm not some kind of junkie or drunk, but I never will be never have been. Ace is a great guy. He's a survivor of a lot of traumatic experiences. I hope he stays sober and healthy I wish him a wonderful time ahead in the new year.

If I ever have the chance to meet Ace I would really love for him to sign my 2008 Gibson Les Paul Custom Oxblood and while he's doing so quickly tell him about my special connection with Kiss (Life Changing Event) inspiring me to play guitar 35 years ago. It was late 1978 or early 1979 I was around 14 years old and one day me and my childhood best friend was at String's and Thing's in Memphis,Tn. just killing time and looking at the guitars as my friends mom was across the street at the hospital visiting his dad.,,,,, so we was talking to one of the store owners about our favorite rock band Kiss.... the store owner asked us to follow him to the drum kit room he had something to show us...... It was a dark room hardly ever accessed and the man reached up and pulled down from the shelf high in the air a flight case and asked me to open it up....... and Lord and Behold it was Paul Stanley's actual Ibanez Iceman (battered up from Paul's costume's rhinestones) on loan soon to be displayed in the showroom up high on the shelf out of reach.... So, I was blessed with the chance to arch the Paul Stanley engraved at the 12th fret neck in my left hand and give it a light strum while it was still resting in the case. That moment in time did it for me I was hooked and was inspired to play guitar forever. So, a few weeks later I bought a brand new 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom wine red with gold hardware and chainsaw case really because of Ace's choice of guitars was the Gibson Les Paul Custom. You're the Man Ace if you ever read or hear about this or if and when I may ever meet you I want you to know You're Loved By Many Brother !! God Bless You My Friend and Inspiration. Peace and Love, Kennyj_wsp@hotmail.com

Eating is a very sensual experience, and done with close friends. "Don't approach me when I'm eating" is akin to saying "Don't approach me when I'm having sex". Rude interruptions, to either, will go unappreciated.
