It really blew my mind in Italy that the elderly walk around and get around so well in that landscape, they are tougher than America's elderly haha
I think you guys just made it difficult with your 5 train escapade the night before. We went from Florence to Pisa ($5), hung out in Pisa for the day, then a direct train from Pisa to La Spezia ($15), stayed the night in La Spezia, and then took the train into Cinque Terre. And then in Cinque Terre, we hiked and took the train between towns and stayed in Riomaggiore. Not difficult. Not expensive. Don't scare your viewers - everyone should go to Cinque Terre while bouncing around northern Italy.
I always love to go back the old damon and jo videos. They really inspire me and remind me that you can also go on an adventure with a low budget
And you know Italian too? Ok that's it, you two have inspired me to start studying languages again. You guys are truly amazing and I love watching these videos!
I was there exactly a year ago and you're absolutely right about it being one of the places you need to see before you die. I spent only a night so I definitely am heading back for a week long hiking/beach/kayak adventure! What a magical place! Love the people too. So warm and friendly even if you don't speak the language.

It took me and my mom basically an entire day to get there with so many cancelled trains and almost giving up, but we ended up getting there right before a storm and we saw the lighting over the sea, I swear it was the most beautiful places I’ve ever ever seen...so worth the trouble😍
I have always wanted to travel and for some reason or another have always made excuses not to, until I started watching you guys about a week ago and y'all truly inspired me. I just booked my flight to New York for a 4 days stay in November. I seriously wouldn't have done it if I didn't find you guys, y'all are awesome!

I mean, maybe it's just that at the library, us librarian have a lot of extra time with google Images on our hands, because I know many people who know of Cinque Terra. I am half Italian and I have never been, but that side of my heritage still means a lot to me. Watching his video legitimately made me cry. It's so pretty!!
I just moved out of my home town and to an island off the coast of Massachusetts for a job. Well, seeing as I know no one out here on this island I've spent a lot of time watching youtube videos and better yet you guys! Ohmygosh this perfection. I just returned from backpacking in the European summer (escaping the Australian winter, waddup) and Cinque Terre 100% did not disappoint. Yeah it's a tad expensive but so fucking worth it, especially the views from the hikes and the conversations with the lovely locals. I feel like I just relived a bit of my spectacular trip just now, thanks so much for this vlog! Can't wait for the next :)

I loooooove Cinque Terre. I took a train from Rome, and it was pretty easy and cheap. The trick is to go in the spring and stay in the villages. That way when the tourists leave between 4-6 you get the amazing place in crowded. I hiked from the Monterroso side and hit the view of Vernazza right at sunset. I was unprepared for the beauty. Pictures don’t do it justice.

One of my dreams is to visit this beautiful place!
I went to Cinque Terra a few years ago with my family and it was amazing! We stayed at a woman's basement room and we were right across from a cafe with the coolest people. They have the best crepes there as well!!! I went swimming in the ocean there too and it was a long hike there and I cut open my foot on the rocks, it was so cute some local boys were the first aid kids and they bandaged my foot...anyways it's the best place, I wish I could live there!

That video took me back to summer 2016, seriously the best trip I've ever been to, if you go to Italy that is THE place to see alongs with La Marina de Pisa
It's super hard to get to but 500% worth it
Also advice if anyone wants to go there : you can actually to a harder hike but get into a very private (BUT FREE YAS) beach (no sand just rocks) only known by like italian people and it's just so fucking gorgeous, and you'll get everything, the view from the top and swimming/climdiving in this perfectly blue water
