For any students, I'd recommend being nice to your French teachers- mine organised for me to go and stay with family of hers in the most beautiful village central France- and I got a real French experience, rather that the tourist experience of Paris. Lived, ate and breathed French for 2 weeks 😍😍
And it was FREE

1. I ADORE Marseille! Honestly one of the most beautiful cities and people. I had a homestay there and me and my group stayed in the doll house they built their daughter. It was literally a mini guest house
2. Yall inspire me SOOOOO FREAKING MUCH.
As someone relatively new to this channel and them both, it's super weird to go back and watch these 2015 vlogs where they were super close and they had such different plans. Interesting to see their growth.
I friggen LOVE Airbnb. Just did it in Paris and had a great experience. Wish we could have collaborated while we were at VidCon. I'll be back in LA soon thought. You owe me a day date you two!

What an absolute sweetheart! She reminds me exactly of my host mom when I was studying abroad in Spain. She would leave me breakfast and always make me lunches.

I started my night by watching a video on how to change out a built in dishwasher, which lead to a video about deep cleaning your bathroom, which lead to another video about bathrooms in Europe which lead to another video about surviving long haul flights and then I stumbled on to your carry on essentials video.. the one with the watches and it was love at first sight! Its 2:07am now and no end in sight. You two are my new faves!! So entertaining!!

How do y'all learn all these languages?! Spanish is my first language, English is my second, and to date I'm still trying to learn another lol

Traveling / living abroad certainly helps. Great tip: watch as many videos or movies in the language you are learning without subtitles. Then practice reading text from a book to see how much you know. Worked for many people.
Four months later but hey, I speak portuguese as mother language, english and spanish. Right now I am learning german. Mostly I learn while travelling, or reading or talking to natives 🙈

I adore Airbnb! We did it for Ibiza and it felt so much safer than hotels, and cheaper! Plus living with locals was amazing and so helpful!

I love how you guys didn't book a hostel because Jo had a cough. I was in the same situation in Grenoble 2 days ago.. I went to a hostel, and I was in a room of 8 people, and I couldn't stop coughing so I went down to the lobby and stayed up all night because I didn't want to wake up everyone.. the next night they gave me a room with 4 beds all to myself! I was going to do airbnb the next night, but I was able to move into my residence early, praise the lordd.

I did airbnb in Lyon and I had a nice stay at my host's place. I did airbnb because it was a last minute thing; I had couchsurfed the nigth before and I didn't have time to look for a couchsurfing host again.
I like both couchsurfing and airbnb, and I really agree with what you guys said about privacy. Somehow, with airbnb, there is a little more privacy, or atleast I feel like I can be more private.
So beyond obsessed with these videos. Randomly came across these the other day and I cannot stop. Definitely a favorite. Can ya'll be my travel buddies?!?
