Is it really safe in ciudad de Mexico?
When I travel alone I think I'm too shy but I don't really meet other people actually... It never happens, I don't know what I should do to make it happens and meet people
I recently solo traveled to California and stayed in a hostel, it was my first time in a hostel and I didn't really know what to expect. I stayed in a mixed dorm it was literally so fun I met so many people from all around the world!! I made so many new friends and hung out with new people almost everyday, I was like little ole me came across the country all alone and it doesn't even feel like it!!!! ALSO I wouldn't have done it without yall inspiring us all to travel!!

Your accent is the cutest in Spanish and to prevent pollution, they usually have a day or two that old car models car don't "circulate" to prevent everyone driving their cars everyday. I love my city but I agree, the pollution is so bad that my boogers are brown if I blow my nose..lol TMI

tbh solo travel is a beautiful exercise of being open to new experiences, stepping outside of personal and social expectations to constantly be around people. it forces you to know yourself better *and* love yourself better. 1000/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I wish I could travel alone and feel comfortable!! Whenever I travel alone I get extremely awkward!!
I get too anxious and scared to enjoy myself. Like I'm terrified as a female that something will happen to me especially at night out alone
That feeling goes away very fast. I've taken 12 solo trips to different parts of the world, Canada, Central America, the caribbean and Europe. Some cities are "easier" than others. You can experience so much and learn about yourself when you travel alone. Of course its easier for a man in certain places but don't let that deter you at all. Go for it and enjoy!

My first solo trip 2 years ago was to Mexico City! I was so scared yet felt so liberated at the same time. I hit all the popular spots, made friends with the guests staying at my Airbnb, and ate my way through the city. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
I just came back from traveling to Sweden, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, and England all because I SHUT UP AND WENT! Y’all changed my life❤️❤️

Garibaldi is iffy asf. Only take what you’re willing to lose. And def wouldn’t recommend any of the bars around the plaza they will rip you off among other things.

I've been teaching myself Spanish for almost a year now. Recently I've been feeling like I'm getting nowhere with it and have been slacking super bad on lessons. I NEEDED this! I've always wanted to travel and speak the language, I just really needed a reminder of that dream. I want to be as outgoing and adventurous as you girl. Loved the video. Thank you SO MUCH!!

Plaza garibaldi is definetely a night time place. At night is filled with mariachis, families, people out partying. It's great!

Solo travel is DA BEST. I went to Puerto Rico impulsively last year cause you know, it was there. And I got dinner the one night at this dope restaurant in town and then this family came and the only place to sit was my table.

Thinking of heading there impulsively myself. Is it hard to get around in terms of transport, particularly in San Juan?
Topaz Citrine Uber is available I think, but I just rented a car. I love to drive and driving in the Caribbean is a experience you gotta have! Old San Juan is super walkable so I just parked downtown and walked most days
Topaz Citrine it’s easier to just rent a car in Puerto Rico! As long as you have a license from mainland US you can drive. The infrastructure is perf and there are nice places outside of SJ like Luquillo or Fajardo where you can stay :)
They planted plants along the freeway (periférico). Succulents are planted on the cement poles separated from the upper level.

Honestly there’s something that’s just very comforting about traveling by yourself!!! You get to meet so many new people and it’s a chance to do your own thing. To not feel bad or worried about how the other person you’re with is feeling or having to do what they want to do in order for them to have a good time. It’s quite freeing! Love your vlogs 💜 I really want to visit Mexico City soon

Here I am watching your videos and I can't hold back from becoming emotional...You're so inspiring and literally everything I aspire to be. I suffer from anxiety so doing things like traveling alone scare the crap out of me, let alone speaking to strangers!! I prayed to God about having kids and having an amazing husband my entire early 20's. God granted all that for me during my late 20s. I am now 30 and I am working on becoming less socially awkward ( I work from home so that added to my anxiety) I'm working on my self, I want to be more confident around strangers, I want to be able to go to places on my own more frequently without worrying about others. Your personality is and energy is like a magnet! Thank you so much for your videos! They are far more than just entertainment or educational! THANKS GIRLLLL!!!!
DF is amazing :D I just moved here 2 months ago. It's literally the center between everything: location-wise and culturally, and super affordable. You can spend all your days OUTSIDE speaking spanish, french and portugese with all the international people.

I was in Bordeaux for 3 days by myself! it was an eye-opener! I'm now headed to Barcelona then Portugal! Please if I ever meet any of you two it would be amazing! I agree with what the guy listed @ 12:50 !!!! My family is from Oaxaca, MX in a little pueblo called San Francisco Higos. Oaxaca is a little far but it is so worth it! I went in December, 2018 for the first time with my family and it was amazing! Oaxaca is relaxing, calm, but also lively and fun! If your looking for a huge marketplace to get souvenirs, go to Juxtlaoaxaca! Overall, Oaxaca city, and Jutxtlaoaxaca are the places to visit if you want to travel south of MX. Maybe you can even visit the pueblo my family roots came from in San Francisco Higos! Buena suerte y bien viaje!!! Te amo!

just came back from my first solo trip, i was in Prague for 3 days and i fell sick on the second day so i wasnt able to visit many things i had planned to, but i guess it reminded me that i had to be grateful for the 1st day and that life doesnt always happen the way we expect it to, but that's ok! and im glad i'm not alone in this so thanks Jo

I actually went to Mexico City to visit family in early January. The center where you went to the hidden cafe, I’ve been to that area over 10 times and I’ve never heard of that. Thats so cool!!!! And the mariachi plaza that you went to, I went there too. It was just as empty when I went too. It was so nice you visiting a place that tell people to visit all the time

Jo♥️♥️!!! Just one small correction when you were asking the lady at 9:16 instead of saying “permiso” you can use “perdón” or “disculpe”. Permiso is used more when you are walking and want to ask someone to open the way or let you pass. Just wanted to throw a tiny suggestion to your already perfect Spanish 😊❤️
