Nice video, congrats on the trans rebuild! I noticed at 20:42 you have the 5th sync assembly sleeve upside down. The 5th sleeve inner splines are pointed on one side, flat on the other. You have the pointed side of the teeth facing up. This can cause difficulty selecting 5th gear. It isn't the end of the world, but if you notice 5th feels notchy at times, flipping that sleeve over will likely help. I saw a few other things in the video if you're interested in a few comments regarding the 020 trans rebuild.

tip- you remove the selector first before cracking the 4th gear (12spline) bolt, then select gear 1 by a screwdriver inside the selector shaft hole where you removed the selector, and also select gear 5, the gears will not move either directions.
Remove the selector assembly behind the 27mm selector cover. Reach in and manually select the reverse fork to engage reverse. With 5th gears exposed as in the video, simply push the sleeve down onto 5th to select it. When the trans is in 2 gears at once, it locks both shafts up to allow the 12mm XZN (12-point) 5th bolt to be removed. The bolt is installed to 111 ft-lbs, so it is quite tight. It is a one time use bolt per VW. If 5th or reverse is stripped out and won't select, then you would have to jam something soft into the 5th gears to bind them up, but this method can result in broken gear teeth so use caution when jamming the gears up with a foreign object. I like an old leather belt when I have to do it. I have more info and pics on the 020 trans on my site at www.BrokeVW.com
Just to offer a bit of novelty instead of the "blocked gear game," use an old clutch disk with a piece of flat steel welded to it so that the flat steel sits inside the starter hole. That will hold the mainshaft as you remove the 12-point screw. You'll get a lot less movement on the mainshaft this way and that pesky 5th gear screw will come out without having to use air. :)
if you notice on the main shaft there is a splined bolt, that is where you loosen the gear using a fine spline key. hope it helped. ps. notice from 20:20 the threads in the shaft. i will give you a good idea

maybe he use the money for the globes to eat, the same for the special tools that this work supouse to require according with fist world manuals, but in some contries you only require the need to eat to make thinks happen, I came looking this video cause I need to repair a GTI transmision with only a screw drivers and a pliers please note that the gentlenman in the video do the work with this only basic tools also note the diference beetween rich conolianist contries and the world mentality

Take the gear selector out and select reverse gear and 5 th gear together it will lock it up so you can undo it
