Oh my golly! The Osmond Brothers rockin out like there's no tomorrow...love it! This song is on The Plan cd (album ?), and, in my opinion, all the songs on The Plan are just as awesome! Extra bonuses...Jay taking the lead and giving us a prime example why he was voted one of the top 10 drummers in the 70s! I could listen to him sing and drum all day (and im 73, not some young teenager). Thanks for sharing this video!

This is very reminiscent of Grand Funk Railroad. They truly had some amazing songs. I've been discovering them as of late (2022) and I am amazed with my findings. I always thought of the Osmonds just "Donny and Marie". You know, just white bread family that sang plain songs that only conservative Mormons would like. But after stumbling first with One Bad Apple, Down the Lazy River, and my favorite song of theirs, Crazy Horses, I have to take off my hat to them. They truly were amazing.

In Australia this was the A Side and the first time I heard it I loved it even before the song had finished. Such an underrated song and really should receive much more attention than it has. It's only in the last year I have discovered the Osmonds with this and Crazy Horses. I bought Yo Yo because I was curious about a song with that title. I then heard Crazy Horses and couldn't believe my ears. It was a great rocking tune. Unfortunately these days people align the Osmonds with that drippy Puppy Love stuff and forget they could rock out with songs like this.

I remember collecting my $3 allowance, and I went to buy The Plan at the PX in Mannheim, Germany. I loved that album. My favorite songs were I Believe, Crazy Horses, Let Me In.... As a group lead, I preferred Merrill; his voice was so different but balanced. And of course Donny; I had all his albums. When we returned to the USA in the mid-70s, my cousin took me to one of their concerts in Springfield, Illinois. That was the first time I had been to a concert. My dad even said then that they were one of the best. He said though that one thing against them in the industry view was that they are Mormons. I asked him what that? Never mind. But still, I like their music.

The year is wrong here. This song was part of The Plan album, which came out in 1973, not 1972. This performance is from 1973, and possibly early 1974, even.
Regardless, this shows decidedly that The Osmonds deserved much more respect as a band than they received then or since. They never got their due from the (overall) rock community. And that is nothing short of a travesty!!!
