Fun fact, the beginning sounds so massive and trance like because both Devin and the other guitarist are both tuned to open C. Meaning when they strum all open strings its a C chord. This layers the rhythm up twice and the reverb stacks the tone even deeper, causing this extremely fat massive sound.
