I heard an interview with Tony in 1995 (although it may well have been late 94) on the radio one rock show. Presented by Bruce Dickinson! It was before Forbidden had come out and Tony was talking about doing something different - "Not what we like, more like what other people want to hear". The result of that was Forbidden! Tony joked that they were doing reggae. Can't find it on the internet, sadly.
Outstanding interview by Dave Lawrence with Tony Iommi, back during the 1995 Forbidden Tour! Interesting stuff discussed especially about the good old days/etc..cool stuff!
Quite an interview also Becuse of the station WBCN Boston Considered one of the best cutting edge In the US at the time.m and a stones throw from Fenway park
Tony Iommi with 'THE OLD BOY' SG in the picture above. IF I could have any guitar in the world, ITS THAT ONE ! If you ever get to hear T.I. play that guitar LIVE, GO ! That is the BADEST Guitar I have ever heard !
Whoa gotta say im astonished at the knowledge of the interview he knows their history really well. Wonder what his source was was there books on them back then?
That guitar is the BADDEST Guitar I have ever heard.I saw T.I. play another guitar for the entire show (not 'MONKEY') and then for the encore 'BLACK SABBATH' he bought 'The OLD BOY' out and it just blew the other guitar away ! IDFB that he did not play 'The OLD BOY' for the whole show ! Was really too bad ! That Jay-Dee 'SG' is # 1, no shit !
He seems quite defensive. the way he states hes written all the songs from day one. haha almost like he wants to prove he has a right to continue under the Black Sabbath name or something. Which he does have a right to do imo but im certain Geezer dont feel that way about it. He really resents that Tony continued without the other original members actually.

I wish he would have discussed why Geezer, who played on, and toured for "Cross Purposes" (1994), did not play on the 1995 Forbidden album and tour.

OMG this is awesome! LOL! Some very funny stuff in here. His humor is so dry and understated. Thank you sharing this interview!
Mahalo. Stay safe. Was a lot of fun to do, all those years ago.
Very cool interview.
The Sabbath albums with Tony Martin on vocals where first rate.
Costa Mesa was Ozzy and Sharon throwing a wrench into the Dehumanizer tour!

Should have seen the flood as an omen as how bad Forbidden was gonna suck.

Tony hates this album 😂
Me too. The worst. But a great opportunity to meet him and chat about all the cool stuff we did.
