  • This film is what you get when you cram 4 friends who happen to all be film makers into a single Toyota Hilux and ship us all off to Tasmania for an 10 day winter road trip.
    Tasmania constantly blew our socks off offering landscapes and terrain found no where else in Australia. Mountains, lakes, quirky towns, incredible wildlife and ever changing weather are a few things that come to mind when trying to describe Tasmania. Join us as we hike, go offroad, explore and experience the best of Tasmania.
    I hope you enjoy and are inspired to get out there on your own adventures.
    Shot on:
    Canon R5
    DJI Mavic 2 Pro
    Sony A7III

    Stunning. For your next visit, I suggest Strahan and the cruise to Sarah Island and the Gordon River; Port Arthur and Pennicott's Wilderness Cruises around Tasman Island for whale watching (in season) and stunning cliff formations; and going south: the Huon Valley, the Tahune airwalk at Geeveston, Hastings Caves and thermal pool, Cockle Creek and the beginning of the South Coast track.

    If you like adventure endurance running try the Gone Nuts 102 km run from Stanley to Wynyard each year in March. The most amazing scenery. Or the kunanyi mountain run or cradle mountain run, heck, I left Sydney a few years ago and I’m staying.

    Beautiful film! It was the tipping point for us booking a trip to Tasmania in March. Wondering if you could share what road you are driving on through the forest 32 seconds into the film?

    • @SeasonAscent
      @SeasonAscent  26 дней назад

      Thank you! I highly recommend you do, its a beautiful place. Truth be told, that road was actually on the way down to Melbourne before we hopped on the ferry. It's called Black Spur Drive.

      @@SeasonAscent Black Spur Drive. Got it. Thanks for the reply! One last question if you're willing to share. Were there any good spots to take photos of the orange lichen boulders closer to Freycinet or Bicheno? Or is it best to head further north to get good photos with the orange boulders? Really hoping to get some good photos with those. Thanks again!

    I’ll be going in June, how did you obtain drone permits? I’m debating if I should bring mine and register it in Australia and get insurance

    • @SeasonAscent
      @SeasonAscent  Месяц назад

      In a lot of Australia you don't need permits provided you follow the rules: www.casa.gov.au/knowyourdrone/drone-rules
      I would say its worth bringing. Where you do need permits/permission is in national parks and they can be a hassle to obtain, especially in Tasmania.

    I really enjoyed the Bay of Fires, especially because you can stay there free for one month and St Helens is not too far away for supplies. It was named the Bay of fires because the Aborigines used to have their campfires along the coastline until they were wiped out by the British genocidal maniacs...
