2:16 This was used to temporarily dump muck. The back usually is a little higher to enable loading a low profile haul truck. Might see this further away from the portal.
Yup! Some cars might not have enough clearance at the front/rear bumper to clear existing rocks, so by stacking you'll make the road flatter, potentially avoiding that issue.
I found this place by accident and ended up driving in the mine. Such a great solo adventure 😎💯 Edit: 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, raised and had plenty of room in the mine.
I took my stock tacom in there before I got the 3" lift with a roofrack with cargo cases on top. Not sure it would fit now. It was very close before so I wouldn't recommend it.
How hard would this be to get to in a ~8.5 in. clearance Outback? I'm trying to make the most out of a college beater without putting much into lifts/mods
Its definitely doable, might need to do some rock stacking at the very end before you get to the portal. @Whatzs has a video on the drive in as well. He should have about the same amount of clearance as you.
2:04 The drifting was done with a jumbo drill and mucked with scooptram.

Awesome to know, thanks for the info!
That Tacoma fucks 1:18
I'm not much of an off road person. What do you mean by "rock stacking" at 1:10? Do you mean you have to stack rocks to make the road flatter?

That's awesome! I've always wanted to drive inside but I worry about encountering oncoming traffic.

100% will still fit. Just went in yesterday with a lifted for raptor on 37s

Bloody awesome, and total respect for finally having the common decency to not hide the places.
