  • It's my another DIY project to make an auto-elevating shelf in the tight space that I have. I got the inspiration after doing the Linear Actuator video. You can click on this link to watch how to fix a linear actuator. • How to fix Linear actu... Thank you.

@@simplediy7061 Do I need anything else for the actuator connection to work it properly? I'm creating one hidden shelf exactly like yours, following the steps in your video.

@@ArunodoyChanda No, you don't need anything else other than what you see in the video. You can check out on my another video in this link ruclips.net/video/9_X5qXWfTKo/видео.html on how to connect the linear actuator. Hope it will help you. Wish you all the success.

I loved the concept. Made a similar project for my son some years ago for his TV. However, I had to import the hardware and it turned out to be a very expensive project.
Must agree with Commander though , it would be great to see more detail like measurements and supply source for the hardware. Also, does this actuator have a battery backup in case of a power outage?
I will definitely try it out though. Thanks so much for sharing.

loved the video. I wish you had more details like what all the materials are with links to buy them. i.e. What is that stuff called that's used to attach the actuator at 4 minutes and 35 seconds?

Please let me know what is the lifting motor you used

It's linear actuator with, stroke - 500mm, speed - 70mm/s, torque - 150N. You can use a higher torque if you want to lift heavier stuff like TV. But normally a higher torque will come with slower speed. All the best for your project.
