Should lift much more weight, riĝt?
    Ever check theoretical max lift?
Measured actual max lift with best practices limit?
    Very excellent workmanship
    For sure.....
    Design par excellence!!!!

      It’s an M14 threaded bar, so 14mm.
It supports a heck of a lot of AXIAL/THRUST load. In other words when it’s pushing/pulling weight.
      Hope this helps,
      Greg

Got to do something about that welding, even Helen Keller was not impressed. Also what is up with the 2 ball bearings not being used for anyting? Just seems like a waste of stuff in there that really doesn't need to be there. Also that's not that powerful cuz the front end of that buggy is not that heavy. I can lift it and I only got one leg. Another thing don't shift from high to low or low to high (under load) with the motor running you strip your gears. The ideas is good on paper but not in practice because I wouldn't trust that with my life.

Are you using gassless mig welder? Just reverse your welding polarity than it will work fine, this earthing with positive and welding with negative

Large nuts to 1.6mm box? I'd be be real careful climbing under anything this lifts made with such light materials. A good concept, but under engineered in my opinion.

How exactly is this "Super Powerful"? It doesn't look and more powerful than your normal everyday 225lb linear actuator. In Fact it looks less powerful, Just more bulk.
