What great ideas! I'm already thinking about how I could transform this into a foldable camping table! If the top were glued in two halves, and then hinged together underneath, and only parts of the pvc fittings were glued, do you think it could be strong enough? Or what about using fabric instead of wood under the top, and making the top a roll-up top for easier transporting? I was also thinking to make the top bigger than the frame and use velcro straps underneath to cinch the table top to the PVC frame or attach saddle clamps underneath and run the horizontal top PVC pipes through them before attaching the horizontal pipes to the vertical pipes. I would like to add a lantern pole, too. I could drill a hole in the top, and tie or velcro the pole to a vertical leg of the PVC - or (even better!) do 2, on one long side of the table, and have a cord stretched between them for hanging things.

Use Mineral oil instead of olive oil as Olive oil will become rancid which is the last thing you want on a board.
