- Rare opportunity to watch Vince Gill and top Nashville studio musicians record songs at Vince’s beautiful home studio.
Recorded January 13,2023. I can’t wait to hear the magical new music being created this week!
Nothing like real Musicians playing together in a comfortable atmosphere like home to get great results! Pretty much in the same room with very little isolation give such an organic and natural sound.
Thanks for letting us set in on your recording session. Love the music, the cat, and the dog. LOL.
The guitars all STANDING UP looks like a store display! 9ft Steinway in living room wired remotely, a NEVE console(?)...Just another morning with Mr Gill.
His guitar collection is outstanding !
yes it is but thats not what music is all about and sadly this ass hole has fallen into the old old trap has he not ???????????
He lost a lot in a flood few years back!!!
Pretty cool. All those instruments and guitars. What a cool studio. 👍❤️
Truly amazing. It says if someone built a recording studio in a guitar museum.
So true! Vince has an extraordinary collection of beautiful and rare guitars.
Beautiful home studio, nothing beats the comfort of recording at home. God Bless Mr Gill
2:50 2:50 ❤
Love it! Great sound! Great musicians! Sooths the soul!
I love seeing how the sausage is made. Can't wait to hear the finished product!
Ole One-Take Buk!! Amazing, as always. On another note (no pun intended)…anything that comes from Gordon’s left and right hands are smooth as butter, and calming as a weighted blanket. Such an amazing musician.
I agree 100%! So talented!
Thank you so much. It’s always fun to be in a room like that, with so many brilliantly talented people, who also are some of my favorite people.
It would be a dream come true to see Vince Gill, he has the sweetest voice ever. Amy Grant is one lucky gal to have Vince in her life.
Oh my......what a great sound from the BEST mix of guys there. I can't wait to hear the final mix...... Russell D.
Me too! Waiting impatiently for these songs to drop!
Great video! I love seeing the process.
Dang...Bout damn time some good listening music is getting recorded. Always liked Vince and always appreciated his music to date...👍
Proud to call Vince an old friend!
This was cool. Thanks for posting this one.
The guitars in that room are unbelievable. Like a museum
Very special!!
moving piece 👍
So many guitars, so little time 😁😁😁
Can't wait to hear this one.
Me too!
Phew, that’s some of that highest level craftwork and I get to see it. Great to see how it has the atmosphere of a nice evening card game, just like it should. Talk about relaxed.
It’s all so darn good. Since they’re hot in the mix it’s easy to comment on the banjo and the piano. Lord man it can’t be played better. I came here from watching a clip that an old friend Ira Liss sent me of his big band sessions with Vince and that’s a banger. Ira’s big band and Dan Radlauer’s arrangements around Vince’s vocal make for a lovely combination. Nice stuff Vince☀️👍nice stuff.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment!
More! More! More!
Uncle Larry,Gordon Mote ..Great musicians !
Pretty sure that’s Paul Franklin on steel too
Vince’s abode, not too shabby.😳
I would love to hear what Gordon hears in a session!! 8) --gary
That was very nice, Pastoral as I heard Jerry Garcia call it.
Are all those guitars Vince's. I just love his voice.👍👍👍
Yes they are all Vince’s collection. Me too, what a voice he has!
I'm counting 13 Blackguard Teles and one Blackguard Esquire amongst all the other great guitars........
@@HoneymoonKauai He lost a lot of them in a flood a few years ago!!
@@dedwin8930 yes he sure did although these guitars are all currently safe in his home recording studio. These recording sessions happened in 2023. Some great new Vince Gill songs are coming soon. I can hardly wait!
Look at all those guitars. Looks like a guitar store.
It really does! 🤩
Except you won't find those vintage beauties at guitar center. More like a museum.
@@zdave6083 That's definitely true!
@@zdave6083 very true!
Uncle Larry is Killin it
Always!! 😀
I’ve been looking to buy a Telecaster. Vince could just give me one of his and he wouldn’t miss it.
I think they need more guitars!
Nice room. Is that Gordon Vincent on piano. I really like his...feel for the shapes of his chords and tones. Exceptional
Yes Gordon Mote actually. He’s is really amazing
@@HoneymoonKauai did he play on that Brad P. Love Song "I Thought I loved you then"?
@@makeitcount179 not that I’m aware of but Vince does play on lots of others artists songs. He’s extremely generous with his time and talent.
Mote is a master
I did not know Vince did session work.
Vince hired musicians to play on his new record. The sessions were for Vince :-)
I bought Bryan Suttons 1st cd many years ago. Yes,it may have been flawless production wise, but it had no soul.
What is the story behind Vince's Banjo was it that would be a cool story behind it
That’s a great question. I didn’t hear any stories about his banjo but if I do I’ll update you!
It would be nice for each person to do a short bio/intro and describe their role in relation to the Song. The Song...is the ultimate director right? What's the theme what's the aim for expression? The Artist might express a short synopsis. Let a viewer truly inside the sonic landscape. Imo
Think they had enough Telecasters in there?
Never enough 😂
Awesome video! A little work on focusing the camera would have made that much better! Very nice sound though!
Whose the piano player
That’s Gordon Mote. He’s the most talented session keyboard player in Nashville these days. Vince had good taste!
Where is Vince?
He’s playing banjo.
is that the same paino guy on Gathier videos
just saw credits it's him...
Yes! Gordon Mote!
A room full of genius's! And I mean that, I've always believed that every top level musician has a genius IQ. Except maybe the drummers lol, just kidding!
Hey watch it, drummers are musicians too. Lol 😂 just kidding ...carry on
@@777bigbird 😁
Vice doesn't tune guitars; he just grabs another.
Tommy Nikon...Ha...that reminds me of a story...probably not true, but sounds crazy.... I heard about Elvis that he would buy a new Cadillac, drive it til it ran out of gas, then just go buy another new Cadillac.
1:46 is that Amy's voice?
No that’s not Amy
No, that was the cat
Ya think Vince likes guitars? 😆
Hope they got enough guitars...Jeez!
Got enough guitars there, Vince? Wow - a bit overwhelming to see the collection and I've seen other vids that show drawers full of them in that room, so if you can't find a telecaster for sale in your area, blame Vince!
Some Bill Monroe talk at the start. I think.
You are correct sir!!
can't be a coincidence that this video is 4 minutes 20 seconds long...
It would've been better if they'd had more guitars...maybe a few more blonde Telecasters. 😉
Click bait. Where was Vince Gill playing in this video?
He’s playing banjo
Not enough guitars.
WHO are the PLAYERS ?!? I "think" it's Gordon Mote on keys - but who are the others ?!? This is a SESSION for Heaven's sake !! The players' names are kinda the most important little detail, here . . .
Sure they include Gordon Mote on keyboard, Paul Franklin on steel guitar, Tom Bukovac on guitar, Jimmy Lee Sloas on bass, Jedd Hughes on guitar, Vince Gill on banjo and John Jarvis recording and editing the footage.
The names of all players are in the credits at the end of the video.
@@HoneymoonKauai although Jedd's name is misspelt 🙂
@@Grant_Ferstat it is correctly spelled
@@HoneymoonKauai not in your on-screen video credits. You have "Jed" instead of Jedd. I just checked again.
At least you wont run out of teles.
😂
