“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!
We will answer all your questions in time. There will definitely be more videos about this product. They don't launch for another week ❤️
These are great when I need to do a set using my non dominant hand. I like to use builder gel instead of glue for full cover tips, glues tend to be so corrosive on my nails for some reason.
How do you remove them? I want to try
Do they need gel or acrylic on top? If not are they strong enough for atleast 2 weeks of wear?
Do we have an answer to this yet.
I think this would have been a great opportunity to showcase different application methods along with the different shapes - you guys have so many great gel products and it seems a shame you didnt demonstrate an application using any of those.
that is a great idea, we will run it by the team🙌🏼
@@youngnailsinc pleaseeee
Do these need to be removed everytime you are ready for a fresh set? Or can these be balanced out?
Can you use base coat to adhere them too.? Are the jelly tips.? Do the soak off in acetone.? How thick are they.? Can you add acrylic on top.?
@Dnatmag are they gel or plastic based?
I’m so excited for all the newbies releasing next week but I’m more excited about the mystery boxes 🤪📦
Are these tips made with gel or plastic? And what is the c curve like? And how thick are they? Do these need to be reinforced? Can you do a fill-in with these or must you replace them with each new set?
We need answers
How long will these last since it was used with nail glue?
I've worn them and with proper prep they stayed on for over 2 weeks. only reason I took them off was to change the color and design🙌🏽
@@youngnailsinc how do u take them off?
I was using Kiera sky -with those full cover I do gel base on my fingernail and then a gel base on the actual tip I’ve had success with that. I did receive young gel kit and I’ve put my tips on with their base gel and it works even better…
@@brownie9100 we recommend curing the length down and then you remove with acetone. we are going to put out a video about this as well
@@lauriemiller8419 I will be trying YN's full coverage tips! I've been using Apres nails, wishing NY would come out with the same system... NOW, I have my wish LOL
Can u use this nail tips to creat encapsulation?
Okay Greg........do you only use 1 coat of protein bond or 2? And can you use a builder gel to adhere the tip instead of glue? And when will you have these available on the website?
he used one cot of protein bond, you can attach them with gel or acrylic instead of glue, and they will be available on the site once the sale starts
I am confused why you wouldn't demonstrate adhering the nails with gel or hybrid gel? I love your videos
I will continue to comment and like your videos I t people know you guys have the BEST products!!!
What do you think about using base gel instead of glue. I am so happy that you have this product. Thank you. Please stay safe and healthy all of you.
you could attach with acrylic or gel instead of glue
@@youngnailsinc would they last longer that way? How long do they last with just the glue?
@@ClallamEDC I personally think the glue lasts 10x longer. whenever I try using gel, they pop off a few hours later despite all the prepping I do :/
I would love to see some tips/tricks for applying full tips on nails that have ridges or the arch doesn’t quite match! Thanks for all you do!
thanks for the feedback, we will let the team know!
I cure two coats of base gel on my nails, buff the top of the coat and buff the underside of the full tips and then use the glue to paste them. They last forever until I get tired of them and wanna switch the design. I like using them this way instead of the Apres way (pasting them with gel) because I can design my nails first and paste them afterwards. My dominant hand always looks as good as the other one. Let me know if you have any questions and I hope that helps.
Mariana Davila great idea! Thanks for sharing!
@@marianadavila5396 good idea! Ty! I have been glueing nails on my right hand because I have some trouble with the acrylic application.
@@marianadavila5396 thank you!! 😊 I've been feeling a little hopeless since I wanted to pre-design some white tips and I knew polygel wouldn't cure through the white (plus nail polish etc). Yet I didn't trust glue to last more than a day. You just saved my entire nail life 😩💕💕 How long have you been able to get your nails to last using this method?
STUNNING!
I’m so excited for these! I just bought the trial kits-I am in love with the gel’s I thought I knew what I was doing but I really did not I got the gel kit and watched your video And then it all clicked
🤩YASSSSS 🥳 LETSSSS GOOOOOO YN 💯🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 we already know the quality THANK YOU for creating AMAZING products 🤩 @YoungNailsInc
they are so good!!!🥳 🙌🏽
Are these as strong as hard gel nails or is this set easy to break since there is hardly any product in stress areas?
When applying press on or full cover nails, the only strength is in the plastic tip or if you use gel to adhere. If you apply hard gel over the full tip, this will give it more durability. If you do not apply an enhancement over the tips, they will be much more flexible and not as durable as a traditional full set.
@@youngnailsinc can i do encapsulation glitter dimensions nail with hard gel on top of full cover coffin nails that are attached to natural nail (with fiber gel underneath - instead of nail glue)?
Yes, you can. Just keep in mind that all the hard gel on top of it may end up making the nail look bulky.
Here is a good video for you: ruclips.net/video/VC99lnoM6hI/видео.html
Can you do a video of self-application? I do my own nails and my tips are popping off after a few days. I swear I'm following step by step.
Try a different glue, it could be that your glue isn't strong enough
As your nails grow out from these can you do a fill in on them?
Thank you for bringing the tips in the video to a. Can you give me any tips should you use a protein bond or a nail prepped beforehand? Also I wanted to know if you should roughen up the natural nail or possibly using the file to rough up the underside of the nail tip before you apply the glue?
when prepping the natural nail for these we do the same thing as always except we don't apply protein bond to the natural nail. You can prep the underside of the tip or not, both will work fine with the glue. After the tip is on we remove the shine from it, use swipe and then apply protein bond
@@youngnailsinc thank you
Can you use Mani Q Gel pot to apply these tips, like the Apres system?
Can't wait for more videos on these!
Hello there, can you show me how else would I apply these if I'm allergic to all adhesive (glues) so that it can be safely applied? Thank you💐
Using a Base gel and curing in a lamp like the Kiara sky ones
@@nailsbyana.carolina will it work if they’re plastic tips vs “gel” tips?
@@anolani yeah but you have rough up the nails, both natural and tip
@@anolani I don't think they'll last as long though
you could attach with acrylic or gel instead of glue
I have a question that I was curious about. Can you do an infill with full cover fake nails or is that only doable with the full cover soft gel nails?
You can if you have adhered our full cover tips with our fiber gel. If you adhering them with glue it's more for a temporary set.
@youngnailsinc okay, that's what I figured. By the way, I love your content. I've learned a lot watching your videos.
Can you use the protein bond and solid nail glue with these?
If you are gluing them on, you would not use protein bond before the glue. They do not mix well.
Ok....the full coverage tips...very concerned right now and a bit stumped. I bought the almond , stiletto and coffin. Beautifully shaped but.....the WIDTH MEASUREMENT? When I measure the 0 I get 14mm. Thats a pretty small "largest tip" when the industry standard seems to be 16mm. Is there somewhere I can get the width chart on these tips? I am also seeing tip 6 and 7 are the same width at 8mm. Is this right? I am selling nail tips and love the YN ones (all my product is YN) but I also need to make sure customers know the width of each of the sizes. I am not sure if i am off on my sizing or not. Any help would be appreciated.
Can I use after pay for the mystery box on black Friday?
we use affirm on our site(:
But we can use that right?
How long does the nail glue last? I tried gel as glue, and while its super long lasting, its rather difficult to apply on my own.
Use acrylic as a glue
When applied with glue, out full cover tips have lasted 3+ weeks. Here is a great video for you: ruclips.net/video/yU46vv59oBo/видео.html
Did you do normal nail prep with protein bond first before applying the full tip?
If you are applying them how we do in this video, then you would do your prep the same except you would not use protein bond before gluing the full cover tip. The glue doesn't interact well with the protein bond.
@@youngnailsinc thank you !
Are these made from plastic or soft gel ? And can you use gel to adhere them on ? All these new product are amazing 🥰🥰💅🏽
they are gel style tips and yes you can use gel or acrylic to attach them as instead of glue if you want
@@youngnailsinc are they made out of soft gel or plastic?
Thank you for the video, how long will last ?
Our full cover tips applied with our glue can last as long as if they were apply with other mediums. I've personally worn them for 3+ weeks without lifting and only removed because they were getting long on me.
Simplemente amo su trabajo gracias por compartir 😍
Do you need to etch the inside prior?
This is great! Greg, I'm pumped too lol I wish we could preorder!
Are these good for people who have a wider nail bed.
Can I use builder gel on top of the tips for encapsulation?
ruclips.net/video/VC99lnoM6hI/видео.html
What no square ! c’mon guys tapered square is a must . These tips are plastic right not gel?.
they are gel style tips
@@youngnailsinc what does gel STYLE mean?
I put them on myself to try before using g on a client. Mine are breaking at the stress area, just wondering why?
I need to find this set ASAP!
Can I put builder gel on top of that ?
Yes, you could but it may end up looking bulky since the full cover tips are already covering the entire nail.
Hi are these the same nails as the ones used to put the gel in?
That's what I've been doing... cause I just don't see them lasting with just glue so I've been filling them with builder gel , sticking them in the light for 2 seconds , then flipping it over and sticking it to my natural nail and putting in the light for 60 seconds then pinch the nail tip and pull and it comes right off leaving a perfectly coffin shaped gel nail.
What can be done to help clients with flat nail beds
Use builder gel and cure in the lamp to fill in the shape 🤗
Could attach with acrylic or gel instead of glue
How long are the full-coverage shaped tips and will they be available in Belgium?
Hello, are they gel tips/soak off ?
I would assume since they are using glue
@@vsheavenly68 I meant if the actual tips soaks off like gel does & Wondering if these are like that.
yes, they do soak off. we have that on our list of videos to shoot(:
@@youngnailsinc great, so the actual tip breaks down as gel does ?
Nail tech heareee!!!
Can these tips be shaped into other shapes? For example if I chose to buy the coffin shape, can I shape it into a stiletto shape if I choose to?
Yes, 100%
Do you prep the natural nail
Are these made of gel like apres?
Did you prep inside of false nail off camera? I was recommended to file inside false nail also
not in this video. You don't have to since we are using glue but if you did you could get a longer wear out of them. If you were adhering them with gel then you would prep the inside since gel doesn't like smooth surfaces.
🤩🤩🤩 How do you recommend we price the service?
how prepared the natural nail before put glue???
Any chance the inside measurements, from side wall to side wall, will be available before ordering? I make hand painted press on nails and ship them, I'm looking for different sized tips from the ones I usually order. There's an untapped market for wider tips that will fit men, and also ladies with wider nail beds.
Did you ever get an answer to your question? I wanted to know as well and it is not posted anywhere. From what i can see though the "0's only measure 14mm from left to right which makes it one of the smallest thumb tip ever lol. I am hoping i measured it wrong. I tried calling them as well, go the receptionist who did not know, forwarded me to "the man, the myth and the legend" Ray and he was unsure but put me on hold then hung up lol. Tried to call back but no answer. so...still no answer. Hoping someone else knows?
Colleen McMahon no I didn't ever get an answer. I am still interested to find out though. Thanks for reminding me about this, I totally forgot.
Thanks! This video what iam looking for
What are they made out of? Gel or abs plastic?
they are gel style tips
Yes need dos awsome to use it on my Daughters ..
Do you have to file the tip on the back prior to the clue?
You can for longer wear. If you want then to be temporary then it's not necessary.
Is this more damaging than gel nail tips? Also how do you remove them?
As long as you apply and remove correctly, they aren't any worse than other types of extensions. Here is our removal video: ruclips.net/video/rmYa7D-M6bY/видео.html
Hello! Are there any measurements from sidewall to sidewalll? I’m wanting to purchase these for my pressons but I can’t seem to find a chart anywhere
Yes we have a photo of the measurements. If you message us on Facebook or Instagram we can send them to you as RUclips doesn't allow us to post photos in the comments.
Hi guys. Are these made of plastic or gel?
Wow wow lovely
Hey! I had bumped one of my nails on my old set and it caused a horizontal crack down my very thin nail on my ring finger but yesterday I still did a new set using my synergy gel (I also used nail lift primer for extra adhesion) well my finger and arm was hurting all night and im wondering if it was a bad idea. I just felt ok cause I know your products are better quality but now im wondering if i should remove the nail a brand new nail but its still hurting :(
i have a bit of experience with this but take the nail extension off and let your nail heal! at least until the crack grows out ik it sucks but your health is more important
It doesn’t matter how good the quality is, these are absolutely not products that should be applied over an open wound. If your entire arm is hurting you need to remove the nail and ideally seek medical attention.
@@jessicawilson8240 ok thanks it wasnt really an open wound just a very thin crack that ran across the nail it doesn't hurt anymore I didn't remove the nail
@@cailloutowers youre right i should of used silk wrap first but I forgot
Does this work with the colored ones? Or not
The tips are still translucent enough for the clear gel to fully cure with no issues.
Omg yessss I've been waiting for this whoohoo
Love your content! It’s always inspiring! Love you guys!
Are these gel or abs plastic? I’m guessing if they used glue instead of builder gel, then they’re abs plastic?
It looked like you did not remove the shine. So is there no need to with glue or gel base?
The shine was removed...
@@sushles not from underneath. But that’s not an issue if you’re just using glue I guess

Beautiful 💅💅💅💅💅💅💅💅💅🌹🌹🌹🌹
Are these gel or ABS plastic ? Why did you use glue instead of gel ?
they are gel style tips(: Its just an option, especially for ones who don’t want to use a light
Are these full tips the “jelly tips” that melt off with acetone?
If they were he would have used a gel base to secure them to the nails.
@@1amazingj not true as you can also soak off glue with acetone as well.
What is difference between jelly and ... regular ones, non jelly, why one or the other? Please explain
Thanks!!!
@@cmayo5659 I think the "jelly" refers to gel full cover tips. The different there would be that those tips are made with a builder gel so it's like an instant gel extension nail. Most others are made with plastic. Both can be soaked off with acetone but gel tips when made with a great structure are much stronger and shouldnt need extra reinforcement for strength.
@@Jolie702 thanks for explaining! So are there tips made of jelly? Or just full cover?
I have seen people put acrylic over full cover nails, does monimor melt jelly? Would Full cover jelly type nails be better for glue on?
Thanks again for the explanation.

Give me the pros and cons of this type of product. I tried the Apres nails and they all popped off! I will wait for more videos....
If the apres tips popped off then that sounds like a prep issue.
How long does these last with glue?

Yes
Will it be available at Cosmoprof?
My cosmoprof doesn't sell any young nail products at all anymore
I just received my coffin and stiletto set and the smallest size is too big for my pinky. 😢
You can always file it a bit if you need it to fit.
No base coat? And what are these made of please?
Can these be adhered with gel rather than glue?
yes they could
😍😍😍 u r really teasing us!

Woooow I'm pumped too🔥🔥🔥
hi, i bought a glue but, idk why it makes bubbles and the full cover tips doesn't attack to my nail, why is this happening ? maybe i don't put enough glue ? let me now pls 🖤🖤
Most likely it is because the tip isn't fitting to the exact shape of your nail. If you have to press the tip on with pretty firm pressure, it has a tendency to pop back up and cause the air bubbles. Make sure the tips fit the natural nail from sidewall to sidewall as well as the c-curve.
Are these made of plastic or gel?
How long do they last?
As long as the nails are prepped correctly, they can last 3+ weeks.
How long do the last ?
i've worn them for almost 4 weeks before they got a little long for my liking. Tracey has had them on for 5 weeks before
Awesome 👍
