Haters are probably 12 year old who like the stupid autotuned no voice selfish Ariana grande. Ariana can't sing, there I said it, idc if u cuss at us. You shouldn't be hating on the queen. Mariah Carey did a lot in the industry. She had many records that were amazing. Still is to this day. Amazing comeback albums. And she inspired everyone. Mariah isn't selfish, she actually Cared about her fans not just money. Kids I want to tell you why Ariana is not a true vocalist. I hear mumbling, autotune, and her voice is not natural. And her lyrics are not that great. Mariah has a natural voice live and studio. She sang inspiring songs like hero, through the rain, can't take that away. Sure she sings a lot of things like fantasy. But it's beautiful. Ariana should step down and hand the mic to the true queen. She has been selfish and is acting like she's four. She even spat on her servants because she did not get the right water temperature. Ariana has no Grammys and no amazing albums or comeback albums. They both flopped. Therefore Mariah sold many copies of all her CDs. And they were amazing. So kids, treat the queen Mariah respect. She sang better, and her vocals were amazing. And she inspired a lot of people such as outcasts and all people of the world. She's a diva, but she's very nice and talented.

Rafa Medina When people say that, they mean her voice is a shell of what it used to be. Not that she literally can't sing. All of these notes are clearly a lot of work for her now and they weren't back in the day.

Good for her! I actually felt bad for her after that Christmas performance at the Rockefeller Tree Lighting. It's cool to hear that she's still able to do this.
She and Celine Dion need to do a duet. I'm honestly surprised they never did one during the 1990s. Celine's voice is better than ever and it sounds like Mariah's finally got her groove back, so they really should get on that! If you haven't seen any of the clips of Celine back at Caesar's Palace, check them out. You won't regret it. She's dropped almost all of the lipsyncing that she'd been using and has been singing almost everything live again. Even the big stuff, like I Surrender (which is the opener now). She even did the big note in All By Myself live on the opening night.
I really really really want a duet from them. Celine has said during an interview that she'd love to do a duet with Mariah, and Mariah likes Celine, so their management needs to get together and hash things out. People would die for that duet.

I think that she is consistently very good at performing vision of love. She can always do a good performance of that song, despite how challenging it is. Also, I think the same is true with several other songs she does such as Emotions. Never seen a bad emotions performance from her because she always manages to keep her energy up for that song no matter how her vocals are that day.
Others may try but there'll never be another Mariah! Idk why people are so surprised, She's been "nailing" it for over twenty years n probably will for another twenty. Luv u Mariah xox

I saw her last Weds the 22nd of July, there were terrible vocal moments but there were so many amazing ones and while some high notes were lipped it was obvious that she can still sing amazing one of the best concerts I've ever seen!!!

People need to get off their ego and just accept the fact that she is not going to sound like she did in the 90s it's ridiculous how most people think she cant sing anymore since she doesn't have her 90s voice. Mariah's voice in 2015 is absolutely amazing and love the raspiness.

I'm glad she's improving, but I'm still concerned about her vocals. I wish I knew proper music terminology. For lack of a better word - her voice sounds "dry"? She sounded great last year during her tour after she got over bronchitis and 2013 she belted with a cracked rib and still slayed. The music she had in her voice now sounds strained. Is that tone?
+Terra KittyCat It's natural wear and wear of her voice and it's quite inconsistent. When she's well rested and warmed up she sounds good, but if not she'll sound dry and her vocals will be messy. Her good technique is still there though, but she's pushing harder when she's not in good voice, which in turn continues to damage it.
Why are people so obsessed with whether MC has or hasn't lost her voice? She sound great and always will. Most singers who are top of their game are not half as good as her... Leave her alone and just enjoy her music. If you don't like her, then don't listen.. Why the need to keep on and on. I'm sure she doesn't give a toss about what people think anyway.
