    I appreciate how you said that at the end always having new people coming into the sport, I'm coming back into it, stopped riding in 2006 and got back into it in 2022 and I'm in love with my 23 ktm, keep the content coming Kyle 👍

    The amount of throttle turn needed to make things happen was the first thing I noticed on my 2021 300 EE, after coming of my fire breathing 2015 300 SD with head, cdi, red spring etc. Switched to the black quick turn cam, red spring, dolly flush and 52 tooth rear transformed the power characteristics of my TPI. Opened up air box cover helps too. Glad to see someone else touting the black cam as beneficial.

    Xc 300 2023 comes with the white one installed. I changed to the grey and it was way more mellow 🤙🏽

      I believe it’s supposed to be included with you 2023 xc 300. If you put the white cam on the XCW, it will be way more “sensitive” at the throttle.

    Funny how many folks run or think they need the shorter pull cam and the green map.. yet are total trail squids. Having hard fast power hurts them and makes you slower in so many situations..

    Good video that the first thing I do to my bikes you did it quicker than I did last time I put grips on my 350 I had a heck of a time getting my grip turned the way I wanted it it took me 3 or 4 times b4 I got it right

    I went with the quick cam on my 300 Beta RX and it was waaayy to much. The bike has so much power in stock form, the 10% tamer makes more sense. The KTM set-up is pretty cool, ODI makes it nice and easy

    Hi Kyle. I took off the factory plastic wrap around hand guards because the twisting action in a crash broke my clutch master cylinder. Other than that I liked them, they seem tough and don’t bend but I digress. They are gone.

    Did I notice you moved the forks up in the triple clamps a bit if so how much?

    If you find that these cams are not large enough or you still need to twist the throttle too far for full open you can always do the pvc trick. I like mine at a 1/4 turn to full open. Take a small section of appropriately sized pvc and epoxy it to the cam making it a larger diameter. Some throttle assemblies will need a bit of internal clearancing as well. I have a hard time twisting my wrist far and this helps. Note that this wont make one faster as your brain will adjust to the throttle. If you find yourself self regulating your brain will just make that adjustment and you will still find it hard to pin it.

    Can you please explain in your own words the difference in feeling in a rocky enduro ride when you use a plate that allows more opening on the KTM 250 XC-W? do you recommend?

    Those wraparound hand guards can be dangerous. Mine got bent a little after a spill and then I was riding fast tapped the front brake lever and it got stuck as I hit the whoop and flew off the bike.

    Is it true what is written here in the comments? Does the 24 XC-W model have oil leaks or problems with seals and rubber of any kind?

  • @logan2k342
    @logan2k342 8 месяцев назад

    I have a 2020 ktm 300 xc tpi. It has a leak around all of the rubber parts right beneath the oil tank. Have you ever had a leak here?

    • @robinhenley7834
      @robinhenley7834 8 месяцев назад +2

      Probably the rubber L shaped piece located just underneath the oil tank. Lots of threads regarding the problem. I have had to replace it on three different too bikes. $5 part.

      Funny you say this because I've noticed a lot of the 2024 XCW bikes have the same problem, I have the same bike as the one he's working on in the video and it already has the oil bottle leak, right at the 90 degree rubber piece. I've looked at a handful of 2024 XCW's and they too have the leak, it maybe worse on the new bikes. I deleted my 2024 XCW oil injection and mix fuel so I don't care now. For you guys that have 2024 XCW's and still have oil injection, take a flashlight and look at the 90 degree elbow coming off your oil tank, see if it's sweating.

    Is this the same for the odi replacements?

    • @robinhenley7834
      @robinhenley7834 8 месяцев назад

      To my knowledge there are no odi replacement cams for the tpi and tbi models. Odi tells you to use the oem cams. So yes it is the same on odi grips.

  • @onthethrottle7104

    Wrap arounds are not good anyway and you can replace them with a sturdy flag hand guard. I've seen too many major injuries come from wrap arounds and guys use them like training wheels, take them off and use flags just like the pros, save your wrists and arms from snapping.

    This is what we’ve come to throttle cams instead of learning clutch and throttle control an feel of the machine

      What do you mean? Are you saying using a different throttle cam will stop you from controlling your clutch or throttle? -That makes no sense.
