Thanks for the assistance. I replicated this exactly, then it failed on my first big trip. I replaced the brace on the front by the seat with stainless steel. Now 200%.
Thank you for your video, it was very helpful. Living in Australia, it costs me a lot in freight to buy one. I did your mod today and it works well on my TDM900. Thanks.
Very cool mod. I have this problem with my bike and I don't like the idea of the G2 because I hate glue-on grips. This mod will let me keep my lock-on grips. Thanks!!
Haha, thanks. Found this at a very timely time. Like you, I dont have the money to get all the little things I need, so this was awesome. Will do the mods on a CRF450R
@@Followthepinas Oh ok. It's clearly a problem of injection. Do you know the new parameters? More fuel consumption? Jerky all removed? I like pretty much this bike, just enough for me, and i don't want to sell it because of this 😢.
I don't know the parameters. I mailed the ECU to Moore Mafia and they sent it back about a week later with some instructions. It got rid of all the jerkyness.
Thats a good observation. The full throttle stop is limited by the cable and movement inside the throttle body. Getting full throttle with this mod requires less than 1/8"extra throttle rotation. Its probably more like 1/16". Be careful out there!!
@@ufixit Im likely going to try this on my ZX10R, which is nearly dangerous in parkinglots (especially if damp or sandy) due to the twitchy throttle response. Some folks live to be internet trolls, I however appreciate your video.
@@SubMad026 how did this mod work out for you? I'm thinking of doing it to my Honda cb650r. My throttle is way too responsive/twitchy it's hard to just Cruse.
Think I'm going to try this before buying the g2. Thanks for posting

Hope it works for you. Thank you for the comments.
Why G2 does not just make lock-on compatible cams is beyond me. Missing out on a big market
Great idea with the Dremel, I was thinking of using a hacksaw blade held by a vice, but this is way better., You just saved me some money, Thanks
This is a great DIY project, thanks for posting it.
What diameter is the spiral cut bit and where can it be purchased?
Very helpful! How many millimeters did you shave off? and what is the length of the shaved channel?

Thanks! Will definitely try this out.
Perfect 👍 just did it and it worked well 👌
Awesome video! I'm thinking of trying this on my Honda cb650r.
Did you the mod ? Was it effective ?
I've got the same engine (cbr650r) and got the same problem
🥲
@@Remop no I didn't. I got my ECU flashed by Moore Mafia and it smoothed out my throttle response.

Thanks Man!😊
I’m looking to do this mod on my crf 250x
I've wondered if the slack or freeplay in the dual cable setups gets wonky because I'd think the "push" cable would bind up.
I haven’t noticed any negative effects. No binding or slack.
Thank you
Are you sure you are going to get totally Full Throttle !! it seems to me you will only get about 3/4 throttle is that true

Total Goonad!
If you think the throttle on an underpowered, overweight boat anchor is too twitchy, you're the problem.
Just trying to help my fellow man. I hope you find whatever it is in your life that is making you so unhappy.
