One tradition we started last year was a "Bethlehem Dinner" on Christmas Eve with Middle Eastern cuisine eaten picnic style on the floor (hummus, pita, olives, pickled veggies, etc). We added our advent reading for that day on to that. It was special, and I look forward to doing it again this year. It helped to remind us that the people in the Christmas story were real people just like us who were waiting and expectant for the Savior that now has come.
1 John 2:3-4 if you don't keep God's commandments you don't know Messiah. Keep sabbath on saturday not sunday Isaiah 66 repent from pork and from christmas idolatry Deuteronomy 12:30
@riecaswell252 It's not his birthday. Luke 2 shows sheep out at night which doesn't happen in cold winter. This holiday was adopted from the pagan festival of Saturnalia. You can't mix the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils or worship using pagan customs. Deuteronomy 12:30-32 [30]Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. [31]Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. [32]What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. Jeremiah 10:2-4 [2]Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. [3]For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. [4]They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
@@matthew953 you have not read Jeremiah 10:2-4 or else you are intentionally misrepresenting the meaning. This is the full section you are quoting. It has nothing to do with Christmas trees or even seasonal decorations. It has to do with the creation and worship of idols. These idols are made by the hands of man and have no power. That's what the scripture is saying. Jeremiah 10:1-16 CSB [1] Hear the word that the Lord has spoken to you, house of Israel. [2] This is what the Lord says: Do not learn the way of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, although the nations are terrified by them, [3] for the customs of the peoples are worthless. Someone cuts down a tree from the forest; it is worked by the hands of a craftsman with a chisel. [4] He decorates it with silver and gold. It is fastened with hammer and nails, so it won’t totter. [5] Like scarecrows in a cucumber patch, their idols cannot speak. They must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them for they can do no harm - and they cannot do any good. [6] Lord, there is no one like you. You are great; your name is great in power. [7] Who should not fear you, King of the nations? It is what you deserve. For among all the wise people of the nations and among all their kingdoms, there is no one like you. [8] They are both stupid and foolish, instructed by worthless idols made of wood! [9] Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish and gold from Uphaz. The work of a craftsman and of a goldsmith’s hands is clothed in blue and purple, all the work of skilled artisans. [10] But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God and eternal King. The earth quakes at his wrath, and the nations cannot endure his fury. [11] You are to say this to them: “The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens.” [12] He made the earth by his power, established the world by his wisdom, and spread out the heavens by his understanding. [13] When he thunders, the waters in the heavens are in turmoil, and he causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain and brings the wind from his storehouses. [14] Everyone is stupid and ignorant. Every goldsmith is put to shame by his carved image, for his cast images are a lie; there is no breath in them. [15] They are worthless, a work to be mocked. At the time of their punishment they will be destroyed. [16] Jacob’s Portion is not like these because he is the one who formed all things. Israel is the tribe of his inheritance; the Lord of Armies is his name."
Thanks for making this video! A few traditions we do that point to Jesus is I hide the wisemen from our nativity scene around the house every morning the kids have to find them. Slowly each day they get closer to where Jesus is set up. Also reading a chapter every day from December 1st till Christmas Eve from the book of Luke as Luke has exactly 24 chapters in it and it follows the life, death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.
When my children were little, I would buy a cake for Jesus and tell them that we were celebrating Jesus' birthday, at 12 o'clock on December 24, we would all sing happy birthday to him and blow out the candle.
This is just a small simple thing, but as our children were growing up, we made a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. Now we are doing this with our grandchildren. They all love singing and blowing out His candles.
No keeping sabbath = burn for eternity(Isaiah 66:23-24) Plus eating pork shrimp(Isaiah 66:16-17) And doing xmas and easter bunny worship(Jeremiah 7) and praying to paint + wood carvings (Deut 4:23-24)
I got push back when I first told my daughter that there is no Santa. I told her when she was 3 years old. Some thought I was being horrible, but we stuck with it. I did tell her not to tell other kids. It all worked out in time, but it certainly was a little difficult at first. We made sure to put the focus on Jesus’ birth and our Christmas was always a great time. Now she is 25 and she is doing great. She is married to a youth pastor and they serve God together at our local church. It has not always been easy but God has brought us through and I am forever thankful. It is wonderful to see that others are raising their children with the true meaning of Christmas as well. ❤
I like how my parents taught it. "Santa was a real person, but not fat wearing red in the North Pole with magic flying reindeer and elves. He was a real guy, who gave gifts to people, and died, and now we honor him and be like Christ by pretending to be him and giving gifts to others, too. So Santa is real, but it's all of us!"
Just came across your channel 😊 and now I’m a subscriber lol great video! We celebrate Advent, St. Nicholas Day, Hanukkah and the 12 Days of Christmas! Lots of fun traditions that point to Jesus! My favorite tradition by far is our 3 gift 🎁 tradition. We give 3 Christmas Gifts to our children to represent the 3 gifts Jesus received: 💛 gold - wrapped in gold paper, something of great value, something they will really enjoy 🤍 Frankensice- wrapped in white represents the presence of God, something to help with their relationship with God (bible, devo, worship cd) 🤎 merh- wrap in dark earthtone color, was used to anoint the body for burial, something for the body ( bath soap, lotion, hair accessories, clothes)
I so love this video🫶🏾 also my family and I have started a family tradition where I've filled 25 small bottles from dollar tree w/ the corks at the top and have filled them with things from the Bible like ( a mustard seed -having faith, red food coloring - represents Jesus blood, monopoly money-thr prodigal son, different colors of fabric -Joseph's coat/robe, stone 🪨-David and Goliath, etc ..) and each night starting Dec 1st til Christmas the kids or my husband will choose a bottle and read about that bottle in the Bible whether its a story or a verse and then discuss it..we named it A MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE bc in each bottle there is a message 🫶🏾🙏🏾
That makes me want to consider trying that for nightly bed time stories. "Which bottle do you want to hear about tonight?" That sounds like such a way to make it fun and more alive for kids! Thanks for the idea!
Girl, I so agree with you about teaching your children about the truth of Santa. Letting them know the truth about what a good man he was and why he has been lauded for so long is good. That’s just what I did with mine many years ago. I have been thanked for not lying to them. When you teach them about Jesus, then they find out “Santa” isn’t real, it leads to confusion. “So, is Jesus real?” Would be a fair question.
Thank you. I’m a new Christian and holidays has been so overwhelming for me. Holidays was how my parents showed love and it triggers me as a new parent (littles in the house). I’ve been trying to morph what’s special to me and my families with adding in Christ for the first time and I have no idea if it’s right or wrong. I guess I took the approach you mentioned. I felt convicted to both add in Jesus in a big way and also throw away all Santa items and decor. We’re I’ve struggled is buying gifts and of course wanting to go wild decorating traditionally. Half of me feels make the most of it and thank God and be sure to give all Glory to God for their joys and half of me feels shame. Idk I just know God will continue in His time to work through our home so I’m just here grateful above all else
Have you looked into the different ways Advent calendars can be made? I realized there are hardly any Christian ones around any more, but teaching children about Jesus was the very purpose for which they were originally invented, and you can easily make one yourself! I have, in many years, put 24 pebbles in a row, marking a path to the stable. Little figurines of Mary and Joseph traveling one pebble further each day. My children find different items: Sometimes just a gingerbread cookie, sometimes a story, sometimes a symbol for an activity that I planned for them (like baking, crafting...). Moving them is a little ceremony that starts with singing an Advent song and lighting a candle. - In other years I read a chapter from a suitable book whenever they traveled on.
Of course…I start by decorating with a few NEUTRAL colored NATIVITY SCENES, that focus on BABY JESUS!!! ✝️🙏🕊️✝️ I put JESUS BOOKS on my Coffee Table. Etc, Etc. 💜💜💜
Over here in The Netherlands it is a common (and delicious!) use to eat "beschuit met muisjes" (a small round biscuit with white & blue or white & pink kind of sprinkles on top) whenever you visit a newborn baby. So on Christmas morning, as a family we enjoy a delicious beschuit with blue sprinkles before we go to church. It reflects on baby Jesus. I overheard this from a family in our church a few years ago & implemented it ever since in our home. The kids love it! Whenever I tell others about this, they act very positively surprised. It helps them remember what Christmas is about :) Thank you for this video!!
Hi, thanks for asking. It is not a homemade recipe but store bought & wildly popular in The Netherlands. You can google "beschuit met muisjes" & Come up with inspiration for yourself if you wish! :)
Awwww when your girl came to the video amazing to see you working while giving attention to your daughter ...you are a beautiful example of mum. Praised God for mums like you sister. 💗
How refreshing this video was. Even though I love to decorate for Christmas, my goal is to always point towards Christ. You had a lot of good ideas and I really appreciate you sharing this with us. May you have a happy Thanksgiving, and a beautiful Christmas filled with the love of Jesus
I appreciate your commitment to helping guide others towards keeping Christ in Christmas and showing that it's possible even in a materialized commercial world of today. I wished there was someone like yourself back in my day when my kids were so much younger. I felt like I was up against everyone in my family (including my then husband) when I wanted a santa free Christmas,
I don't like Santa getting all the credits for my loving preparations of selfmade gifts. So from the beginning in our family Santa was under house ban and everyone was creating gifts for everyone. It didn't have to be much but out of love. Christs birth and death were out of love and so we reflect his love by making gifts. But I am German and I think German traditions are bit different than US-American traditions.
Bring them to Holy Mass if thats what you want! Thats where our Lord is truly present! Something Protestants don’t have. Praying for all of you to come to know the true church established by our Lord our savior Jesus Christ. 🙏❤️
@@mirjamjunginger3890 I just found out that I’m part german(and I grew up in Germany lol) Although I live in the states I do incorpórate German traditions. They are definitely a bit different. But I like ‘creating gifts for everyone’. Fantastic idea!
We make a list of free simple advent fun activities that we can do everyday before Christmas like singing carols, playing games, hiking, attending Christmas Eve service, viewing lights in our neighborhood, and etc. We also do an advent devotional too and lighting advent candles.
I absolutely love all the knowledge and Biblical wisdom that you share!! This season is alllll about Christ and shouldn't be about a fictional character with reindeer and jingle bells. It is for our Heavenly Father that we are here. I loved your last video as well!!❤
Sabbath is saturday not sunday mark 7:6-9 God does not like christmas (Jeremiah 10) And people who eat pig meat (Isaiah 66) Plus wearing cross necklace or mary statues (no carved statues 2nd command)
I was born in The Netherlands were we celebrate Saint Nicholas Day and Christmas Day. It changed a lot over those 40 years. I have been grown up with that Saint Nicholas and Santa are just people dressed as Saint Nicholas or Santa. We were told not to tell other kids about that. We have to leave everyone how they believe. My parents were not believers and I have missed any God in my childhood. Later on in live I choose to love God and we are not doing Christmas like most people celebrate Christmas with the focus on materialism. I choose God every day of the year, so also with Christmas. You can help others to by sending songs about Jesus and Christmas as a advent calendar and sending a wintery picture every day, especially when God is not so much in their life. I love your video as it is very important to know God and love God is too focus on God and not the world's interests.
A new subscriber here. You're sowing seeds that God will bless and harvest with your precious children. Jesus IS the reason for the season. What precious memories and traditions you're making. God bless you and your family.
Just read the title of the video and immediately subscribed to your channel without even listening. I know I’m for a treat a revival and n really knowing what Christmas is all about!
Love this! Mama of 2 toddlers here who wants to figure out how to handle Santa and traditions to include more of Jesus and the gift he is in our Christmas. Thank you for these ideas including how to respond to family members who don’t understand. You’re wonderful and I wish we could be real life friends! Subscribed 🥰
Really needed this! New mama here. There is so much wisdom in this video that even transcends the Christmas season. Thank you for sharing. Love your content.
Barbara Rainey, from the Everthine blog, has a wonderful piece on Santa if you choose to incorporate him into your traditions. Explaining how Jesus used parables to illustrate many deeper spiritual truths. Helped me relax about Santa as a young mother years ago. My children always understood the real meaning of a Christ centered Christmas.
Yes this is awesome!! I’ve never seen you channel before!! Totally subscribing. Exactly what I am thinking this year. I have totes of Christmas stuff and all I’m decorating with is greens pine ones and bows and candles!! I’ve grown so much this year in my faith, and snowmen and Santa’s seem so meaningless to me know. My kids are on board with me too so that’s great!! They’re 14&15 this year and I lost my best friend my mother Dec 3 last year. My heart hurts but my faith has grown! I was talking to my kids yesterday saying I wish I had done the ‘Santa’ thing so differently! I told them that I would say that Santa to many represents the idea of an everyday Christians life. This is how we should act everyday and giving to others out of love!! 💕
Thank you! The attacs on Christmas that are growing from year to year are disturbing. Especially coming from Christians! I live in a very secular country, and the Christian holidays are incredibly important for teaching our own children about Jesus!
Hola 👋🏼 Feliz Friday ~ Mil Gracias for sharing such Beautiful Vital Truths ✝️ Yes though some traditions are sweet & not necessarily evil but the emphasis it's not all Necessary. It's a challenge starting w/our loved ones & friends but I appreciate what you stated, we're serving an audience of one 🎉Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ 🙌🏼 Blessings to you & your beautiful family 💟
This has been a time of year I’ve been dreading because how it’s said to be about Christ but really it’s about consumerism (buying all the gifts etc.) we’ve decided we are no longer doing a Christmas tree but I do still want to decorate for the holiday. I just need to find a better way to go about it.
A few Christmases ago I traded having a Christmas tree for a 'manger' (a wooden box on legs). I had become unsatisfied by how much importance I was giving the 'pretty things' and being drawn away from the humility of 'no room at the inn'. Since then I found the 'lack' of tree often interrupts my consumption mindset and reminds me to live differently in the holiday season, prioritising connection with Emmanuel from which all the truly good things like restfulness, beauty, and fruitful abundance flow. Storing the Christmas gifts inside the crib was a perfect way to remember where all good gifts come from (plus it was rather practical having things off the floor!) In seeking to set your heart on things above in the Christmas season I'm sure you will be as blessed as I have been doing decorating differently! 😊
this is so wonderful! i’m a first time mom and baby boy is about to be 8 months so my husband and I were discussing what we want to implement in our family. we both don’t have family around and i would love to have our christmas just us as a new family, but for my husband it’s important to be around family so we are working on it!
Thank you for sharing these awesome ideas! We have the Advent season leading up to Christmas Day. My family celebrates the arrival of Jesus on Christmas Day, but Advent is a time that we wait in anticipation for the birth of Christ. On Christmas Day we go to Mass and then come home and open Christmas gifts. It is so nice to have the first focus be on the gift of Jesus instead of material things for ourselves. Christmas Day is just the first day of the Christmas season since there are officially twelve days of Christmas, so there is no rush to get the tree and all the decorations down.
I love what you are doing here! Bringing Jesus into Christmas is what we all need to hear. Thank you for sharing the amazing resources. I LOVE how your darling little girl came in, and you were sweet and allowed her to be there with you. That is a great example to all watching!
I also saw the title & immediatley subscribed. ❤ My husband & I chose to take a different path regarding kids, but keeping the focus on Jesus in our home is priority, especially now. Thank you.
I LOVED your ideas at the beginning of thinking about your why, and asking questions that a child would ask. I never did Santa even as a kid, but when I grew up I still had a lot of questions. Why are we putting up a tree for God? Why are we giving our kids presents they don't need, and making it all about them? Why are we doing His birthday this day, when we know it wasn't His birthday? Why are we celebrating His birth on the same day as the pagan gods' birthdays? Almost every single thing about Christmas is diluting the message of christ. Because its not about him. If we really wanna make our lives a reflection of Christ, why don't we celebrate the Feasts that He celebrated? The ones God commanded us to keep? (Leviticus 23)
I love this video. I have been trying to point my kids more towards the real celebration of Xmas and my kids sing happy birthday to Jesus on Xmas day because they know we remember his birth. As someone who is starting a somewhat minimalist journey, I appreciate you taking about using the 5 senses because that means less clutter in the house. I subscribe today. Thank you
This just popped up as a next play (I’m doing my nails so I just sat and listened) But, my husband and I really wanted to not do Santa and wanted to always tell them the truth, and have Christmas be just based on Jesus. Everyone in the family was astounded and almost appalled we wanted to do that. Then, in kindergarten as the teachers taught about Santa and their peers were excited to think he was real…. We gave in 😔 We played along with the Santa bit for other people’s sake. And I wish we hadn’t. My kids are now 22 and 20, so that time has long passed but if you’re a parent of littles… stick to your guns. Do what is best for your family, who cares what others think. I wish I had had the bravery back then
Hey :) this was great! When you light candles for advent, are you following a certain schedule of you know what I mean? I grew up catholic so I'm familar with the pink, purple and white candle wreath. I now go to a non denominational church. I saw you just light candles that you had. I'm interested to do this in my home this christmas ❤
More thoughts I’ve had about discussing Santa with my children: 1 Cor. 11:1 Paul says “you are to imitate me as I imitate Christ.” Moreover in the gospels Jesus says he does what he sees the Father doing. St. Nicholas and anyone who acts as Santa is imitating the goodness and generosity of God, not trying to be Him or replace him in importance. But there are some people in the world who don’t know Jesus yet, so they will look for good people to “be Santa” because that’s the closest thing they know to God. So when we give to others-when we imitate Santa, we need to give glory to God to remind them where the goodness really comes from.
All these ideas were so helpful as I’m having my first baby in January and I want to start our own traditions point to Jesus and toning the other Christmas elements down. My husband’s family definitely celebrates Christmas the worldly way and they have like 30+ gifts/person and open gifts for hours - it’s ALLL about gifts and absolutely nothing about Jesus. Do any of y’all have pointers about how to approach that? I’m really leaning toward just not doing Christmas with them any more but I know that will ruffle some feathers.
Maybe you can suggest a secret Santa? And that they stick to a budget. This way it cuts down from everyone getting gifts from everyone to just one intentional one each year. Then more time to spend family time etc. since it’s less gifts to go through
THANK YOU ❤️ I subscribed! A side question, how do you fit time to read into your busy day? Like what does reading look like for you? You’ve managed to read so many books and I wish I could become good at it :) thank you May God bless you! ❤️
Thank you for this video! So many good resources - also, I’ve looked into this Christmas dose of Deb and it looks like she copies a lot of what the FlyLady does… you might like FlyLady!
We always put stockings out on the 5th of December (the 6th is St Nicolas' Day). So Santa not part of our Christmas. No lies about where the presys come from either.
Told my kids the truth about Santa when they were really young. Why? Because lying causes distrust between them and you. It’s the first time in their lives where they realise you could manipulate and lie to them. All gifts come from God - God gives us the skills to work, the motivation to make the money to feed our family, the vocation to become parents in the first place. Everything comes from God through us as parents to our children that they receive at Christmas. Pretty simple. If parents spent more time teaching their kids about the truth about life (God is the most important thing in life) then it’s very easy to get them excited for the coming of Christ.
My problem is I wanted to do this when my oldest was a baby. But as a fleshly person all of what my family and society kept bringing up I caved in because I wanted them to fit in when we really don't belong her eternally. Also when you don't want to do gifts but the grandmother's have gift giving as their love language. Then no matter how many times you say then give experience gifts and year in and year out they won't. Gifts aren't wrong per say but when that's what kids are looking forward to it's hard to bring Jesus to the forefront.
you can start your own traditions ..as we did … but when they marry and have a family they also start their own traditions and sometimes leave your family traditions behind, just as you are doing by forming your own… both ways are good …but just prepare yourself that they will do the same especially if you have sons…. they will have to adapt to his wife’s family traditions… Christ is all that matters the most in all of it … Enjoy your young ones while they are young and there will be no regrets !!!
Jesus never told us to remember his birthday,as Christians we itch to fit to the world systems, when Jesus told us not too .Am a mom of 4 and I too have fallen for this traditions ,This year we not doing it.Asking God for Grace to pull through.Jesus told us to remember His death by breaking bread even His death He said remember not celebrate. We are doing our own family Day of appreciating each other not on Xmas Day though .It’s going to be a normal day for us starting this year .
If you want to go deeper in your obedience to God study the feast of YHWH leviticus 23 . Jesus was not born in december He was born during the Feast of Tabernacles ( around September October) That Feast was the one that Jesus and the disciples celebrated!!!!
I think it is difficult to make Christmas all about Jesus because it truly has nothing to do with him. All of these traditions to make it about him are very forced. It was never celebrated by him or anyone in the bible. I know it is terribly difficult, but we have to learn to be set apart and realize that this is a true pagan holiday. I find it very interesting and sad that there are many beautiful holy days and traditions that God himself told us to celebrate and we choose to ignore them and make up our own. I know, I get captivated by this season too. But it's not about him. It never was. We as humans just can't let go of the traditions passed down, and if you think about it, it is very much adhearing of the flesh, and not his will. We should be doing his will. If we wanted to celebrate his birth then we should do it in the spring when it is well understood that he was actually born.
This will offend some but those seeking truth will look into it even if angered... Christmas has never been about Jesus.. it is a pagan feast that was merged with Christianity to have Christ Followerers worship other gods ignorantly just like Easter.. whether you are celebrating Santa, etc. Or not decorating and all and saying it's about Jesus .. Jesus will never be apart of it.. Jeremiah 10, Amos 5 : 21-23, John 4 : 22
THE SINNING CHRISTIAN The doctrine of “the sinning Christian” is not Biblical. The Bible says whoever claims to know Him must walk as He walked (1Jn 2:6), and again, whoever is born of God does not keep on sinning (1Jn3:6-10). So if someone keeps on sinning, it’s simply because he doesn't know God. He is not born of God. When the seed of God (the Word) is in us, it does not allow us to keep on sinning, for it is God's power unto righteousness. If a man says “I love my wife”, and has an affair, then everyone will realize that he really doesn't love her. In the same way, Jesus said, If you love me, keep my commandments. So loving Him is doing what pleases Him. Even the devil knows sin displeases Jesus. Also, the devils have faith, they believe that God, exists, but they will never get back into heaven.
This is a great resource to dive deeper into the point you are making. Not trying to debate by any means, just some food for thought 🩷 www.desiringgod.org/interviews/does-the-bible-say-true-christians-never-sin
Step one stop celebrating Christmas because it’s never been about the Messiah. He was not born in December, we are instructed to celebrate the feasts of YHWH not pagan celebrations. YHWH has 7 holy days he wants his children to celebrate, Christmas is not one of them.
The date of Christmas on Dec 25th is biblically anchored. The religious calendar from Jewish feasts and when Gabriel had announced the conception of st John the Baptist (Luke 1:5). This took place on Yom Kippur (Sep 20-30). When it was announced to the virgin Mary the conception of Jesus, it was 6 months after conception of st John the baptist. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 after September (20-30). March 25 is when the church celebrates the solemnity of the annunciation. Normal gestation period is 9 months. March 25th + 9 months = December 25th. I can celebrate God every day. Why not celebrate communally, with corporate worship, during a time where everyone else is lost in order to bring glory to God that He points the way and the way is Jesus? We aren't supposed to be discouraging of these things in others.
@@TheRealBina do you celebrate any of YHWHs appointed times? He tells us that if we love him we will obey Him, loving him means we should respect His appointments not make our own. And furthermore that timeline is highly debated outside the Catholic Church.
You didn’t read any of the warnings did you? Jeremiah 23:21” I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.”👉🏼🎄🎁🐰🥚🎃 2 Peter 2” But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, 👉🏼🎄🎁🐰🥚 (read Jeremiah 10) even denying the Lord that bought them(the Lord that bought you doesn’t tolerate pagan witchcraft. REPENT) , and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” YOU CANNOT MAKE AN UNCLEAN THING CLEAN. STOP WITH YOUR COVETESS WICKED HEART
Yet here you are hoping to silence believers in the birth of Christ with electronics developed by an atheist and the web created by another. With Christ all things are new so this platform can and is used to spread God's word. And yes He does make things clean.
@@AdvicewithBri that's about as far away from Jesus as you can speak about right there. And your hatred is so genuine.~ And it's all because, of a baby boy~
@ psalms 10:3”For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.” “God bless you merry Christmas” why are you people so deaf?
The best way to make memories for xmas for the Messiah is NOT doing xmas at all. Its pagan traditions adopted by the Roman Catholic Constantine & all the other branched off denominations adopted the same thing & GOD says do not learn the way of the Heathens or mix the holy & profane, AND.......what does everyone go & do anyway???? 2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Christmas comes from pagan roots of the Catholic Church. And has become traditions of men. Jesus wasn’t born in December. More likely September or October as the reason for no room at the inn was because of tax time during the early fall. The Bible doesn’t tell us to celebrate Christs birth, but does say to avoid traditions of men. Also, warning us throughout the Bible about deception.
Jesus was NOT born December 25. CHRISTMAS is not about JESUS!!!!!!! God said do not NOT do what the heathens do. Also the Bible saids be apart from the world. Love not the things of the world otherwise the love of the Father is not in us... Blessings to All
How about you choose NOT to celebrate the pagan holidays AT ALL. we are warned several times NOT to do as the heathen do. Why do you think atheists celebrate it IF it’s apparently for “Jesus? Did you know his name is actually Yeshua??? Jesus is the name of Baal. Read Jer 10:3-5 and John 5:42-43.
Here in US only Christians celebrate Christmas other people don’t even say merry Christmas they say happy holidays, they don’t bring Jesus into the season they just shop.
Placing a Nativity scene/set front and center under the Christmas tree "because Jesus is the greatest gift we can ever receive."
The Nativity scene is the most important thing in a Christmas celebration, since ultimately what we are celebrating is the birth of Jesus
That’s such a great idea!
1 John 2:3-4 if you don't keep God's commandments you don't know Messiah. Keep sabbath on saturday not sunday Isaiah 66 repent from pork and from christmas idolatry Deuteronomy 12:30
Please explain, how is focusing on Christ at Christmas time idolatry?
@riecaswell252 It's not his birthday. Luke 2 shows sheep out at night which doesn't happen in cold winter. This holiday was adopted from the pagan festival of Saturnalia. You can't mix the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils or worship using pagan customs.
Deuteronomy 12:30-32
[30]Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
Jeremiah 10:2-4
[2]Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
Jeremiah 10:1-16 CSB
[1] Hear the word that the Lord has spoken to you, house of Israel.
Great idea!❤
No keeping sabbath = burn for eternity(Isaiah 66:23-24)
Plus eating pork shrimp(Isaiah 66:16-17)
And doing xmas and easter bunny worship(Jeremiah 7)

We give 3 Christmas Gifts to our children to represent the 3 gifts Jesus received:
💛 gold - wrapped in gold paper, something of great value, something they will really enjoy
🤍 Frankensice- wrapped in white represents the presence of God, something to help with their relationship with God (bible, devo, worship cd)
🤎 merh- wrap in dark earthtone color, was used to anoint the body for burial, something for the body ( bath soap, lotion, hair accessories, clothes)
I just subscribe, too.
I absolutely love this gift idea!!!
Wow, what a creative idea! I hadn’t heard of this type of theme except three gifts.
@CuriouslyCute yesss I love that idea and I know your kids would love it as well 🫶🏾 and no thanks needed love ❤️
@ thank you so much! I will save this and try it. Thanks for taking the time to share a beautiful idea and teach.
Of course…I start by decorating with a few NEUTRAL colored NATIVITY SCENES, that focus on BABY JESUS!!!

That is a neat idea. Is there a specific recipe you'd recommend?
Hi, thanks for asking. It is not a homemade recipe but store bought & wildly popular in The Netherlands. You can google "beschuit met muisjes" & Come up with inspiration for yourself if you wish! :)

I felt like I was up against everyone in my family (including my then husband) when I wanted a santa free Christmas,
Love the way you explained explaining that the parents are Santa. I want my children to be more Jesus centered than on gifts.

YES girl! I’ve definitely been thinking about this as a mama to a three-year-old. Wonderful video.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Storing the Christmas gifts inside the crib was a perfect way to remember where all good gifts come from (plus it was rather practical having things off the floor!)
In seeking to set your heart on things above in the Christmas season I'm sure you will be as blessed as I have been doing decorating differently! 😊
Very well said! ❤ May God bless you and your family this Christmas and always!!
this is so wonderful! i’m a first time mom and baby boy is about to be 8 months so my husband and I were discussing what we want to implement in our family. we both don’t have family around and i would love to have our christmas just us as a new family, but for my husband it’s important to be around family so we are working on it!
Mary did you know. ❤❤❤
This, girl! Yes!

My husband & I chose to take a different path regarding kids, but keeping the focus on Jesus in our home is priority, especially now.
I'm with you on this point!
Thank you

Wonderful, video. I trust you have a lovely Christmas honouring your Saviour. I fully agree with everything you said. Just found your channel tonight.
This just popped up as a next play (I’m doing my nails so I just sat and listened)
But, my husband and I really wanted to not do Santa and wanted to always tell them the truth, and have Christmas be just based on Jesus.
Everyone in the family was astounded and almost appalled we wanted to do that. Then, in kindergarten as the teachers taught about Santa and their peers were excited to think he was real…. We gave in 😔
We played along with the Santa bit for other people’s sake.

Love this thank you! Screen shot this to read over and over and learn to teach!
LOVE this! Thanks for sharing.
Then more time to spend family time etc. since it’s less gifts to go through
So helpful! Big appreciation from London!!

A side question, how do you fit time to read into your busy day? Like what does reading look like for you? You’ve managed to read so many books and I wish I could become good at it :) thank you

💛
Come out from Among them your following the ways of the world! Repent! James 4:4

If you want to go deeper in your obedience to God study the feast of YHWH leviticus 23 . Jesus was not born in december He was born during the Feast of Tabernacles ( around September October)
That Feast was the one that Jesus and the disciples celebrated!!!!
THE SINNING CHRISTIAN
The doctrine of “the sinning Christian” is not Biblical.
But you should tell us what they are so people can learn
@@TheRealBina do you celebrate any of YHWHs appointed times? He tells us that if we love him we will obey Him, loving him means we should respect His appointments not make our own.
And furthermore that timeline is highly debated outside the Catholic Church.
@@karenlowe2999 Leviticus 23 lists them.

3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”
YOU CANNOT MAKE AN UNCLEAN THING CLEAN. STOP WITH YOUR COVETESS WICKED HEART
Yet here you are hoping to silence believers in the birth of Christ with electronics developed by an atheist and the web created by another. With Christ all things are new so this platform can and is used to spread God's word. And yes He does make things clean.
@ buckle up woman, HELL IS A LONG TIME‼️
@@AdvicewithBri that's about as far away from Jesus as you can speak about right there. And your hatred is so genuine.~ And it's all because, of a baby boy~
@ psalms 10:3”For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.”
“God bless you merry Christmas” why are you people so deaf?
The best way to make memories for xmas for the Messiah is NOT doing xmas at all. Its pagan traditions adopted by the Roman Catholic Constantine & all the other branched off denominations adopted the same thing & GOD says do not learn the way of the Heathens or mix the holy & profane, AND.......what does everyone go & do anyway????
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
