    This is so helpful!❤ It's so refreshing to hear someone say that motherhood is beautiful, but it's hard and postpartum rage and anxiety exist.

    What a lovely video. This was so encouraging. As I embark on being a first time mom i am constantly overwhelmed with all the advice, but I really felt this was realistic, non shaming, and biblical. The only thing I think I would add is reading God's word daily to renourish spiritually. Thank you so much for taking the time put this video together.

    Thank you for this video. I’m first time mom of 7 month and will be taking some of this advice now and defiantly use it when I have another. One thing I didn’t know that no one told me was to continue the supplement I was using for prenatal when breastfeeding. This helped a lot! 😊

      Yes, it is amazing how much support our body needs to recover from pregnancy and to support us making milk. Amazing, but tiring haha

    Thank you! Saving this list for the future. So many things resonated with me about learning, creativity and eating minerals and nutritious food and getting out into the sunlight. I call walking my therapy. It's so nice to hear a Christian' mother's perspective in this day and age. Some of my favorite food for nutrition is homemade sourdough bread from fresh milled flour. I learned from Sue Baker's video "The Bread of Life" that fresh milled flour has 40 of the 44 essential nutrients and vitamin E as well. We have 8 people in our family and soon to be nine by June of next year :) and my family loves eating our bread. It tastes so much better than bread made from the flour sold in the stores. God bless you and keep doing a wonderful job.

      AHHH YES! I love some freshly milled flour. I want to get back to that! And I will have to check out Sue's video. Thanks for sharing that 😘

      Whew that is a hard season! You are the play mate and they are so little. Those were some hard years for me. There aren't many adult convos. I think what you are feeling is so real. Maybe the enjoy motherhood again video or what I wish I knew before I became a mom video I did. I will be thinking of a video I could make for this, maybe loving life with a toddler?

      Thank you. Yes it's hard, especially in pregnancy because of all the other limitations. If I was feeling better I would cook with him or go out a lot as that's what he loves most but we have no backyard and I feel so nauseous and dizzy all the time that standing in itself is a challenge. I'll watch these two videos and look forward to anything you'll create next.

    Thanks this is super valuable. A question, I don’t feel that I have PND but have struggled to bond with my sunny sweet 5m old. I love what you’ve shared but would value any tips for when you WANT to be able to enjoy a new season that the Lord has put you in but you just aren’t?

    Motherhood can be hard and hit hard at anytime. I found my first was so easy all the day until she was about 18 months. Then my second came along 8 months ago and he is a tough baby just more clingy and fussy. He needs to be kept going all day or he isnt happy. That plus a toddler is crazy at times and i definitely feel overwhlemed and snappy more this time around. Just need to take the time breath

      Seriously two littles is a challenge. I am not trying to compare hard, but it is a special hard. I look back at those years and there were so little pictures with green grass in them. I think I felt cooped up inside, but getting outside for walks and going to cool nature spots even with littles can just breathe some life into a mama's soul. Especially when things feel overwhelming. 🩷 You aren't alone! There are probably countless women in your neighborhood with littles feeling the same way. Sending love for you and praying for a special grace to find some creative ways to love these little years and to spend the time in ways that light you up with your little ones.

    It's sooo tough, mentally to see my body change from a size M to XL 😢 I'm really trying to save some money to invest in more nicer smocked dresses that will last me.. I typically stay the same size after birth for a whole year.. which is really hard but knowing that I can accept it sooner and move on. Also how to ask for help when there is literally NO ONE there for you??

    • @girlteachme
      @girlteachme  Месяц назад +1

      Yes it is hard, not sure how it is for you, but I gain more weight while i breastfeed and then after a full year after birth the weight starts to come off. It just takes time. And the help part is hard, for me it has been joining community group at church and mom's groups and just making friends in those group so we can help one another. I think trying to make adult friends even though it feels hard and uncomfortable. The truth is we just need people and relationships make life more meaningful, but they just take more intentionality as we get older. I also just find your college gals I trust and even reliable high school girls and slowly start paying them to babysit and build relationships with them too. They are some of my fav people to hang out with too, they just hand around and chat after they babysit and that is the best! I just don't live close to family so I rely a lot on church friends and other friends to get some help. I hope that sparks some ideas for you! I know it is soooo hard when you feel helpless. Sending love!

      @girlteachme Yes same for me!! I stay the same size and weight for about a year. Not sure if it has to due to exclusively breastfeeding or what? Currently, I'm tandem nursing my 2.5yo and 4 month old, I thought my toddler would wean during pregnancy but she just kept going.. and I plan on nursing my baby for over 2 years as well.
      I'm actually apart of a large Russian orthodox community and it just seems like no one helps anyone out. We've become too modern, in the sense of women don't submit to their husband's and work full time, so there aren't much SAHMs to be friends with and help one another out.. it's really quite sad. I have my parents that live 12 mins away. But had to cut them out due to toxic alcoholic narcissism and my husband's parents also live 12 mins away but are huuuuge red flags towards my 2.5yo so they aren't welcome over. It's really tough. I cry most nights bc I feel incredibly alone. I'm unable to drive farther than 4 mins bc my baby hates the carseat and screams so can't even do like "new mom meet ups" it's incredibly isolating.

    Good content but super annoying that you’re talking so unnaturally slow/slowing down your video by a small percentage. I know this is a trend among RUclipsrs that has become common practice to reach a longer timestamp, but please be a normal person.
