Have you ever driven along Australia's outback roads?
Yes I sure have. That tanami goat track is ridiculous,it should be properly maintained all year round. Some of the roads I’ve traveled on are so bad I wouldn’t even call them a road or track.
Mum's a local, we drive around in a 94 fwd Pulsar and leave the 4x4's home.
Only the uneducated attempt heavy loads and trailer's or in these cases the well paid.

They have them.. they call them cross locks. My guess is to add some drama/tension. Like the camera on the overtaking tanker. Being from the US, I love these road trains! But the shit they do sometimes is unnecessary hahah

So they hid the crane that they needed to remove the tire set, and then spent hours with an angle grinder cutting the parts up

Why can’t the mine site truck all the materials in for the switching room and assemble it on site ? That would be much easier than trying to move this behemoth load in one piece !

Nah made in Perth. You will need to rewire it to comply with the local code unless you have a team of inspectors on site to ensure no asbestos and wiring are to specifications.
On the soft dirt roads why don't they use tire chains?

Why would anyone pay for 1000s of kilometres of blacktop across a landscape with NOTHING
Well this road in the middle of the outback where there could only be a few trucks crossing it every year so why build a highway for a couple trucks per year?
Is the attention span of your average viewer that of a mayfly or what's with all the over-hyper-mega-dramatic editing. Chill mate, not the end of the world. These guys grew up with it, they know what they are doing. For those of us with more than two functioning braincells this is plenty interesting enough without that drama.
