    This chair is criminally underrated. I just want a nice chair at a reasonable price. Instead I see countless videos of people talking about "budget" 500-600$ chairs. :(

      Thanks! Thats what I think as well. Some of my clients returned more expensive Aerons and Humanscale chairs after trying this one.

    I'm planning to buy this, the only thing I can't get over is how expensive chairs are relative to other products that have more complexity.

      They can be pricey. This one is on the cheaper end but has the features of a $1000 chair.

    Hey there, this is the only video review I can find of this chair so thank you for doing it! Is the seat padding still holding up well and is the chair squeaking at all? It seems it's hard to find a well built comfortable office chair in this price range, alternatives would be from Nuohaus or the ErgoChair 2 but there's complaints about the ErgoChair from people after just a month of use.

    • @movementminded
      @movementminded  4 года назад

      The cushion is still feeling and looking good. I haven’t had any issues with squeaking, but I have only had it since December. It’s a really good home office chair.

  • @WanderingAroundAZ

    My Amazon review...
    Chair arrived today, but is ***missing headrest***. I have reached out to the seller and am awaiting a resolution.
    My chair was more difficult to assemble than it should have been. The casters didn't want to snap into the base without A LOT of unnecessary force. The back was VERY difficult to slide onto the seat. If you do not possess a lot of upper body strength, you will probably need to get some help for this part of the assembly. TIP: slide the seat out away from the back to make it easier to tighten the bolts.
    UNFORTUNATELY... I can't keep this chair. After several hours of use, I was in so much pain from the seat and armrests that I had to revert to my old chair. The armrest are barely padded at all. The seat... I can't tell if it's just too small for me or if it has to do with the padding itself. It definitely bottoms out, but so does my current chair. Not sure the exact reason, but a chair shouldn't cause pain.
    Overall impressions: It is a nice looking chair. Unlike most budget (or even more expensive) office chairs, there is no excessive play in any of the components. There is a good range of adjustment (though I would appreciate a little more range in the lumbar adjustment). Unfortunately, this chair is definitely designed for the AVERAGE person. I am 6'2 240 and the seat cushion is a bit narrow and shallow for my taste. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the headrest because it is MIA.
    Summary: For the average person, I feel this is a very good ergonomic chair with good adjustability and good quality, especially for the price. Can't say so much for the comfort though.

      Thanks for the review! I am 5'6" and the chair fit me well but I am glad youre leaving this review for anyone who is 6'2" and above.
      I didnt have any issues assembling my chair together also, but some people have been mentioning that its doesnt smoothly fit.
      I like the chair for the flexibility it offers for the price.
      Thanks again for your comments, Let me know what chair you ended up using. I am sure it will be very helpful to people who are taller.

    • @Tephnos
      @Tephnos 3 года назад

      @@movementminded Bit of a side question, but at 5'5/5'6 (same as me), how high would you have your desk? Trying to dial in a proper height for it before I go with a wallmounted desk, so I only get one shot at doing it right.
      Think I have it at 66cm at the moment but feel it could go even lower. Of course, then you have to factor in that the chair armrests need to go low enough that you can fit it under your 'my first desk', so it's a good thing this one goes as low as ~60cm.

    • @movementminded
      @movementminded  3 года назад

      @@Tephnos Great question, unfortunately there is no clear cut answer because it depends on the rest of your set up. Writing is different than typing with ergonomics. You want your keyboard to be 1-2 inches under your desk if youre going to write on it also. A lot of it also depends on your elbow height. Ideally you would have 90-110 degrees of elbow flexion so you can use the keyboard without shrugging your shoulders.

    Hi! Great review. Can I ask how well the chair has been holding up after long term used (more than a year)? Are the seat padding and the mesh backrest still well cushioned and not sag? I am looking for a chair that could last me for many years and I sit at my desk about 12 hours/day

    • @movementminded
      @movementminded  3 года назад +1

      I dont sit that much. I like to alternate between sitting and standing. I sit on it around 3-4 hours a day. It has been holding up well.

    When you tilt the chair back can it lock in place staying in a reclining position? If it doesn't does to take a lot of effort to lean back and stay leaned back?

    • @movementminded
      @movementminded  4 года назад

      Once you lean back the back of the chair stays there so you dont have to keep pushing it back but it does not lock. If you sit up the back of the chair will move forward again. I hope this was helpful.

    Hey your videos on ergonomics have been really helpful! I have had this chair for about two months now and the only problem I have is with the lumbar support. I have it adjusted for the base of my lumbar spine but I get feel a lot of pressure near my pelvis and also soreness near my mid back after maybe only 30 min. As a result I have been getting out of the chair more often which is a good and bad thing. Is the chair a bad fit for me? (5'7 135 lb) Or is there anything else I can do with the current chair besides the stuff in your other ergonomics video? Thank you!

    • @movementminded
      @movementminded  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! Try to raise the lumbar support a bit and bring the seat pan in towards the back of the chair. Make sure youre feet are on the floor. Check the rest of your set up also. Many times mid back pain may come from being hunched over a laptop.

    I know this sounds like a random question but would a male who is 5'10 would they be able to use this as a gaming chair?

    • @movementminded
      @movementminded  4 года назад +1

      I dont do much gaming but this chair is super comfortable, since we have been quarantined I have been sitting on it daily. At 5'10 it should be even easier to adjust because 5'8-6' is usually the size office chairs are made for.

    Hi...What do you think of the mesh back? This model has mesh as well as fabric back, so was wondering? Mesh generally tends to wear out on all chairs is what I keep hearing. Am buying this for a 5' boy right now who will soon grow up, do you think it would be okay or too big? Please let me know. Thanks!

    • @movementminded
      @movementminded  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for the question. The mesh on my chair looks fine, I have only had it for around 7 months though. I am 5'5" and with a 27 inch high desk and I still need a foot rest to sit on the chair. So for a 5" boy it might be too big.

      Movement Minded thank you! I couldn’t find the exact measurements.. this is helpful.. so you mean at the lowest height as well your feet don’t reach the ground? If you don’t mind, can you give me the seat/chair measurements? Also can you recommend any other chair which could work for someone 5’ for at least upto 5.5’?
