  • In this video I will share some important tips on how to survive and even enjoy winter in Canada.
Winter in Canada could be pretty harsh. With some extremely below-0 temperatures and winter storms. But it is also beautiful and you can actually have fun during those snowy and cold days.
Here are some tips on how to get ready for winter in Canada in 2023.
    1. You have to dress up accordingly. Starting with a good winter coat. There are many good warm clothes brands in Canada. I can recommend looking for parkas from brands like Canada Goose, Nobis, Arcteryx, Parajumpers, and Woolrich. There are more but these are ones that we had experience with and they are great. A good winter parka could be expensive but it will serve you well and long.
    2. Snow pants. Buy yourself a pair of good snow pants. They may come in handy if you will go for a long walk on a trail or go snow tubing, sledding or even skiing. There are many brands to choose from Spyder, Karbon, Phenix, Descente, The North Face, Patagonia and so on.

A good video, especially the introduction - if you live in Vancouver - skip this..LOL! I do live in the Vancouver area and we do get snow that cripples the whole lower mainland that can sometimes last several weeks..I know..I said weeks. That's why we choose to live here. 😊I grew up in Northwestern Ontario in - 40F temps, with lots of snow and have also lived in Saskatchewan where the average temperature was -35C every day from fall to spring!
