Did Wix change the create a post page? The toolbar is now at the top instead of the + sign to the left of the post...annoying. It means any time I'm editing text I have to scroll up to the top to access the toolbar. Any advice how to change back?

All great information but it started to add up to overload. Is it possible to put time stamps in the description section so we can do a little bit, come back later and find exactly what our next step is and just click on that section of the video? Yes, exactly what you wrote in your follow up content! You can customize the blog, layout, text, what it says on each page and add your own links, but the free version is going to include WIX in the domain name.
To link a custom domain name, you need to purchase a plan from WIX as well as a domain (unless the plan from WIX includes a free domain).

How can we add a "table of contents" in the blog posts on wix??
Hi Vivek! I don't use Wix anymore but at the time, there wasn't an option for this feature. One of the limitations and why I switched to WordPress!

This is very helpful ... but I was on the About page and accidentally removed the image placeholder and cannot figure out how to put one back in so I can import a pic of myself for that page ... I don't know why I cannot get an answer to my question when I google it ... is there a place to go for more detailed instruction for Wix? I also had trouble adding a pic I had downloaded into Wix file to place under my first post. I had to use a Wix photo because that page would not "expand" my own photo, leaving it just a bar of color from the top part of my pic, but I could not expand it or figure out why this happened ... please help!
Hi Lisa! I'll try to help the best I can....
Did you try adding another image placeholder from the left hand side? If you go to add and images you can see the different options.
For your second question, were you adding a picture to your blog? If you click on the photo, it should give you different options to make it a different size. Not sure why yours came up with just a thin stripe. I've never experienced this before. But from what I can tell, maybe try resizing in Wix or seeing if a different photo works? Maybe it's the photo?

Ok. I keep trying to start blogs but always get stuck in the tech! But I haven’t done WIX yet so I’ll give it a try. It APPEARS to be easier than what I’ve already tried :).
It is definitely easier, however, the best blogging platform is still WordPress. But I always say it's better to be blogging than to not be blogging so if the tech stuff is the hold up, and Wix works, go with that. You can always change as needed if you grow!

Okay. You made it look so easy to publish a blog (when it is a stand-alone blog site). However, how do you add a "blog page" as a page on your WIX website (while you are designing it). Thanks.
Haha, well I'm glad I made it look easy! If you are wanting to add a blog page to your Wix website just go to the plus sign on the left (when you hover it says add) and then go down until you blog and it should give you an option to add a blog page! Can I create blog on a free version WIX?
You can have a blog on your free wix account. The limitations are going to be you can't have a custom domain name and they have Wix branding on your site. I don't recommend creating a free blog if you want to get serious about blogging, but it's a great way to test the waters and see what it's like!

I'm not sure I understand your question fully but if you start a Wix blog and a separate Wix website, I don't believe you can add it in later. You would have to add each individual blog post to your website. You can instead create a "blog" and build on to make it a website or have your website and post your blog from there! How do you add comments to a blog post? I've tried everything but it seems wix doesnt offer that feature yet. I've seen a few tutorials that explain the process, but their wix user interface always looks different from mine. What am I missing?
I had to create an account using an email to be able to leave comments. It seemed very clunky to me and I didn't really like it!

Hey Farah! They have to become a member of your site, login, and then they can leave a comment. Honestly, it's a hassle. It's one of the limitations I've experienced from using Wix and part of the reason I'm switching to WordPress. Hope that helps you. Cheers!

@@TheLearningFrontier Yes, I highly recommend building your blog with WordPress as soon as possible. It's definitely more of a learning curve but will pay off in the long run.

Just a thought, but it would be great if you made a video on creating blogs with affiliate links, as well as how to get affiliate links to put on them in order to try and earn some extra income. One thing I would suggest if you are wanting to grow and monetize your blog is to create your blog with Wordpress.org. It's better for blogging in a lot of ways. Wix works, but has limitations. You also can't transfer your blogs if you ever decide to change your template or theme down the road. I switched this year and it was a HUGE headache. Wix got me started blogging so I'm grateful for that, but I would recommend switching Wordpress as soon as possible.

Creating a blog is also easy with Zyro. Their builder is simpler, making the customization quick and easy. And they have friendly premium plan prices.
Interesting....never heard of them. Is that what you use for your blog?
@@StephCastelein Yes, I created my blog two months ago and didn't have any complaints so far. Zyro does offer fewer features for your website than some other builders, but the interface and prices are fantastic.
On the "My Blog" page, there is sort of a sub menu on that page, "All posts Travel My top 5" etc. Is it customizable, as in what i want to do is, change like "My Travel" to a different name, and i tried but i am unable to do that. Could you help?
Hey! I think I might have a solution. If you are editing your blog/website and click on the "my blog" pen image on the left.
Click on "blog manager".
Click on "manage posts".
On the left hand side under "manage" it says "categories". Click on "categories".
Then you will see that you can edit the categories, delete them, change the URL slug, add a description and image if needed.

Looks like all you have to do is select "no downloads" under the "download options". Here is an article from Wix. Hope that helps! support.wix.com/en/article/allowing-video-downloads-in-wix-video
