Considering the world wasn't created in one day i should say you managed to create a small beautifull forest in not even 1 day and that's a rampgebied job! Thanks for the effort of sharing this!
Thank you for the guidance!! I admire your Wisdom . Your calm demeanor while working fast is incredible Sir. Best regards from eastern Oregon USA 🇺🇸 I don’t look at trees or shrubs the same anymore, I see a beautiful Bonsai .
great video. I just purchased a lebanon cedar (cedrus libani - green prince) its the most natural looking bonsai ive ever seen. It was worth every penny.
My favourite evergreen. Lost my 15 year old Cedar of Lebanon to Vine weevil last year, now bringing on a new C of L sapling. Thanks both. Much appreciated.
Wonderful forest! I hope all is going well down at Herons as I know you’re having several activities this longer weekend and I couldn’t join. In any case, have a nice Easter break to you and all the nice people at Herons!
I love this group Peter! Cedar always look so authentic in a forest landscape. I imagine this in a few years will be a true spectacle! Well done josh for your part in this masterpiece 👏
Ya good on ya Josh. You capture what Peter is trying to convey and your shots give to life what the books can't. Keep up the excellent work boys. It WILL take 2 strong men, Peter... To bring bonsai to the world.
stunning.. I am just getting started in Bonsai and you are a great teacher.. teaching basic fundamentals , explained in simple language that all can understand and always reinforcing the principles . So glad I stumbled onto your videos, I've learned so much from them. Thank You for sharing your knowledge.( from Canada)
Hello Peter. Regards from Cyprus!! I am so glad to have Cedrus brevifolia so readily available. Their horizontal branch structure and tiny needles make them a great bonsai material. Cant wait for mine to grow.
Floridian here too! Would you happen to know of any nurseries that might have this species? Ive only been to wigerts and it doesn’t seem like they have it.
Lovely piece Peter. Master class as always! Could you please make a video of what kind of products you use to fight fungi and pests on different species of trees?
I like all the forests that you make. I am going to try to make a forest next year . Been buying small trees a few at a time , This year plants cost so much in the USA. Very nice forest Peter.
I will be taking a picture of the trees next week if all goes to plan, unless Peter has sold them , looking forward to our visit next Sunday. What would shock me is the price of the pot, not so much the prices of the trees from a nursery. I have a larch and acer and two redwood forests all doing well . I enjoyed the video and have learnt so much from Peter . Thank you Peter and the favourite camera man Josh.
Cedar of Lebanon forest group - or even a group with some scenery - sounds like a good idea because such forests feature in mythology from the areas of the Mediterranean and Middle East, like when Gilgamesh and Enkidu go to fight Humbaba.
Our online bonsai group was wondering if some of your trees were used in movies. Like the new Dune movie, or a James Bond movie. Were they, and which movies? Thank you.
HELP A BEGINNER!!!! I acquired 4 wild trees from the very hot and dry west Texas climate. They were junipers and pinyon or ponderosa pines. I don’t have any specialty bonsai stores around me here so I made my own bonsai soil using some potting soil we had left over, sphagnum moss, and some perlite for drainage. I’ve got them in bowls with good drainage and have been watering them at least every 2 days if not every day. The summer temperature where I’m at ranges from 26c-40c (80f-105f) and all of my plants on in direct sunlight. I’ve noticed some needles starting to brown on a couple of them and I would hate for them to die. If you have any information to help PLEASE send it my way.
We have nothing like those temperatures in the uk at least not very often, but Pines and Junipers are used to dry and harsh conditions, it may be just natural die back or I have found from experience we can sometimes kill them with kindness by overwatering. I find best chances of survival when I have collected trees from the wild is to try and create the same conditions as they were growing in, certainly water when the soil has dried out but perhaps not every day mist spray the foliage every day and definitely keep in the shade until there are signs of new growth. Hope this will help ……..

Hello, beautiful work. I am curious as to how tall will the trees grow and how do you regulate the growth?
Hi, do you use paste on the cut branches
YAHUA Created the most beautiful trees and plants or us to work with.
Cedar of Lebanon forest group - or even a group with some scenery - sounds like a good idea because such forests feature in mythology from the areas of the Mediterranean and Middle East, like when Gilgamesh and Enkidu go to fight Humbaba.
Hi Peter, could you tell me what size that pot is please and do you stock them?
Beautiful composition front and back. How long will you leave the wire on? Any special aftercare? Thanks, keep growing
Can we use TAMARIND for forest style bonsai?
Thanks...
Where can I get cedars like this? Finding it impossible to find a nursery that sells them like this. Wonder if anyone has any ideas?
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 thanks Peter
I love forests. Probably wont get an answer but I'm always curious what you would sell trees for?
Our online bonsai group was wondering if some of your trees were used in movies. Like the new Dune movie, or a James Bond movie. Were they, and which movies? Thank you.

Those big pots probably tokoname are 300$. Trees $75 a piece. Your work and time plus that Wisley Forrest was probably 25 years old so $7ooo US?
Me at 2am not knowing ANYTHING about pruning.
