@@tonyzacker8946 i don't think the meteorite hypothesis makes any sense. why would it only get rid of dinosaurs? it seems a lot more likely that the big ones died out for the same reason large animals die out right now. too big to sustain for long periods of time

The dinosaurs then died off do to lack of food and decreasing temperatures. Mammals were mostly the size of mice at the time and required less food to survive along with being warm blooded and furry so we won.

the first nuke's fireball seemed to go from the southern border to around panama, so about 3,500 km to get that you need a nuke with around 1.5 GT or about 30x the yield of the tsar bomba. it's estimated all nukes on earth equal about 4 GT, so like little under half the nukes on earth were fired at mexico for some reason...then i guess we fired the rest at south america.

0:47 I've heard that we would be better off trying for a floating settlement above the clouds on Venus. The surface of Venus is so deadly that even a spacecraft can't last long on it; but once you get above the clouds, the environment is far more hospitable. And we would be naturally protected from harmful cosmic radiation in much the same way we are here on earth, whereas we'd have to figure out an artificial way of protecting ourselves on Mars.
I'm not sure how the other planets knew what a nuclear bomb was. Sort of expected there to be a joke for Pluto on being near the solar system, but not being granted the rank of planet. Maybe the planets all objecting to humans demoting Pluto without consulting them. The ad-stronaut was oddly fitting for this sketch.
