My acceptance rate has gone from a 98% to a 67% in a month or two. I’m usually a top dasher and it just keeps dropping. If DoorDash thinks I am going to accept an order going 13 miles for $6.50 they are out of their minds. Mind you gas hasn’t even dropped a full dollar from its all time high we are currently setting at $4.36 a gallon. To drive 13 miles to and then back to my zone would cost me a little over $4.36 just a little over $2.14 for a google estimate of 46 minutes of work and that was figuring no maintenance expenses. I decided regardless of how low my acceptance rate goes I simply cannot work for free. My goal is after January 1st to keep a written log to take to my local politician to push for legislation. If were paid $7.00 or $8.00 per delivery tips would be a plus. I think these gig apps should not be allowed to pay less than the $0.65 per driven mile required for another qualifying offer opportunity. So 13 mile to and from your zone would be an estimated $16.90 paid delivery or pickup. Who do they expect to pay for the dead miles. Commercial contractors expect mileage pay for all miles, why shouldn’t we.
I love this comment!
Agreed.
Smart!! Bring it on!
At one point last week my UE acceptance rate was at 1%
I feel your pain 😂😂😂
Yeah, you can hang up on being above 25% on UE. I saw a 6 for 26 miles.
I had to turn off Uber eats for 1 year
Listen to this story- last week I went to an apt complex and the buildings werent clearly numbered so I jumped out to look. My dog pushed the door lock and locked me out while the car was running in a strange parking lot im unfamiliar with. I shouldve broken my own window but got a ride from a friend to home depot for tools to get in. I got tipped and a free cold pizza.
OMG I had the same kind of experience at home. My dog locked me out of my house...I had to climb thru a window to get in.
I wear my spare key on a lanyard around my neck. I don't want to pay a locksmith $200 if what happened to you happens to me. My lanyard cost about $3.
Next time call fire station. Let them know your dog locked you out and are worried for its safety and others safety. They’ll get you back in there.
@@hangtime33 What did end up happening is when I arrived with all the tools to break in my own car? The police were already there because somebody was concerned about the dog in a car 42 hours
I had the expanding airbags and a metal bar thing. But the cops did have a better metal bar. No I know when I was a kid. Tops were helpful then at some point they become unhelpful. And now apparently you can sign away waiver
Love this community ❤ Happy New Year to you, Sara! 🎉 May 2024 be abundant and happy for all of us ☺️
Yes! Happy New Years to you too ❤️
Mine went from 96 percent to 86 percent. There were some bad orders around Christmas time the day after bc everyone was broke. I didn't factor that in lol. But everything has gone back to normal and I figured out how to adapt when it's not as good.
Uber eats giving wrong directions, attaching other orders without you knowing, anyone has that problem?
Keep up the grind 💪🏾💯 everyday is a new day to improve yessirrrr
Happy Holidays!!! I always walk into McDonald's for orders, they are usually slammed so yes they will forget about you so just to be sure, walk in.
You will get it back up to were you want it at
i just started back doing uber eats yesterday ,thank you for making me aware of the mileage vs pay ratio. It has helped me so much.
Anything below $1.5 mile going to and from is free labor.
Girl my AR hit single digits this week 😵💫🤣
Doordash exception rate sucks. I started off the other day at 71 percent, excepted 16 declined 5 and it ended up at 69 percent. Lol
Yep the math doesn't add up
Sara you will be fine and you are going to have an amazing 2024. Keep your head up. 😊
Thank you! ❤️ We're all in this together, we got this!
I finished my last dash with an AR at 78. I just opened the app today and it’s at 67. Tf?
I always look at what the person ordered. The reason I look is because I want to see if they ordered a drink. Sometimes the restaurant/places miss it. So I then have to ask for it. You can always get a babysitter to take care of your kids. Then you go out and do deliveries. Just a thought! Sorry about your acceptance rate . I am surprised though that you kept high for quite some time though. I don't think I'll ever get to 50%. I am at 30% now. Too many bad orders on DoorDash.
I'm in between jobs rn ubering girl lol I might see ya out there!!! ❤❤ I have been having to accept uberX drives too though because I don't have door dash anymore so no more multiapping 😢 can't average even 15 an hour without uberX
If you have a low acceptance it means you should get paid EXTRA for being an efficient dispatcher. Just that dispatch job pays over 25 an hour and you dont use your own car. you can dispatch trucks, cabs, etc... They have us doing all that for free or to our peril if we accept deliveries that cost US money.
You are going to have to get your numbers up if the Platinum program comes to your area and it looks like they're sending it to everyone if you don't get your acceptance rate of over 50% you're not going to see a order above 8 bucks at all just giving you a heads up
Mine has gone from 85% to 52% in the last two months
Awesome video. hyped to see what DD offers in 2024
Thank you, so am I.
More bad orders 2024
Nothing but dissapointements. You really think DD is a long term sustainable way to make side income? it aint. Youll make more money flipping items 🤣
Shits a joke
I did 9 deliveries 2 hours 11 minutes (5 McDonald’s) $47 One big lots shop declined $17 for 18.3 miles nope. 4 items probably a couch lol only did 26 miles!
Hey Lady , good to see you , as always . looks like a nice , easy day for ya' . Then of course , on to being a Mother , which we know is the most important . Until the next time , be safe .
DD is horrible too me in Richmond VA my acceptance rate is low for a reason low tip high mileage Uber eats 7 percent and still get great orders
❤ the Elizabeth walk
My AR really dropped I am down to 8%. Jan 2 I guess I well have to start Earn by time.
For DD, when you deny an order, is there any chance, say if you are in a rural area like I’m in and there’s only a couple people working that you could get the order back at a raised price?
It happens in small markets. I've seen it a few times. In the poor markets, they will raise the offer $0.25. "Well then, in that case I say yes." In high pay markets, they offer these early so that there is time for the price offer to creep up. I have had offers that were no tip that were very high paying, & late. They gambled someone would take it, but no one did. I once had a Chinese order that was like 30 minutes late. It paid ~$13 for something like 6 miles. Most Chinese restaurant offers are higher paying so this would almost never happen. But because it was no tip, there weren't enough drivers after they passed it around to everyone & everyone said no. When it got to me I said yes. The customer is wondering, why isn't my food being delivered? That was in a small town in Illinois. In the big markets, there are always enough drivers for a low-ball offer to creep up until someone takes it.
Are you doing gig work full time these days? Miss your content😅. I don't even think about my AR on UE. Some of the orders and mile to dollar ratio are ludicrous. When I was a kid my mom wouldn't stop the car all the way when dropping me off. She would slow down to about 3 mph and the rest was up to me. Learned how to roll with the car.
Uber sending orders $4 for over 10miles, anyone getting this also?
When I didn't know how to unassign I accepted a $7 15 mile one....stacked. $7 total for 2 deliveries. I was so mad and just went home after. Didn't even get a cent tip.
I'm over worrying about AR. Won't take crappy offers anymore.
100%
Since they started the $2.00 orders
So you don’t get to use the mileage in between “trips” while waiting on another one? My tax person says if you have a desk/ area that you use for gig work, that it is considered a home office too.
I have always been confused about the mileage thing !
All miles from Accepting first order to Dropping off last order are business miles. I hear that some accountants only want the miles that the food is in your car but all of them are business miles. My accountant wants ALL miles.
@@SaraElizabethYT ok good, that’s what my tax person says about writing off a home office; that if you have one, you can write off all miles, not just trip to trip. I don’t do DD anymore because the pay got consistently low in my area and was just a waste of hours driving around waiting on orders.
You can claim the miles as soon as you leave your house and return doesn’t have to be when you get your first order
@@melissasprayberry5047as soon as you turn the apps on track the miles so from when you leave your house and stop when you get back home
I can't use solo like you do not available in my area. I am in Erie Pa.
It’s happened to me twice where it got really cold and I set for a little bit and my battery died. That was the first sign. It was dying but it wasn’t until it snowed that I found out it was bad but luckily I had somebody help me those two times take me to Walmart so I can buy a new battery wonderful Reason to ask people for help. 😂
Don’t decline any orders I’m a dasher been doing this for 6 years
Wait I just started this month you're telling me I can deduct miles from online time...I've been starting and stopping solo to just do individual runs of active time.
Hey Sara, Brandon (doordashing grandpa) suggested to contact you. Am gonna be in st Pete area in few months and I will be working on a motorcycle. I can only work from 5 to 10pm Monday to Friday and 12 hrs a day on Saturday and Sunday, do you think it's poaaible to make 100$ per day? Is it a doable goal in your Market?
I believe St. Pete is meaty mama's market and she does well.
I dont worrie about accaptance rate on UE ...as for DD i tried to gett my AR up but it ain't happening to many shitters
My Uber AR is 10% but they don't rub it in your face like DoorDash does.
I had an order today Uber eats and just after I picked up the order, I got a notice that the order was cancelled. What should I have done? I ended up eating the food.
That means free lunch!
😀@@SaraElizabethYT
😊Yup! On the House😅
I always like that on orders I was hesitant to take in the first place
"Take any drink you need from the cooler" Hmmm okay this 1 looks good to try ;)
I'm at 7% on Uber Eats 😂😂 was at 3% a few days ago. Keep sending me crap and it'll be down to 1% 😂😂 My AR on DD is 75% right now down from 85% but its all good 👍
I got deactivated today for low AR
Did DoorDash as say that was the reason? 🤔
@@SaraElizabethYT yes
not true , they are not allowed to deactivate you for low AR its against the law..you can have it at 0..low COMPLETION RATE they can deactivate you not AR.
So I saw your how to start it. So you press dash now and then you wait for accepting the order
Yes you wait a little bit until an order randomly comes in. Could be instant, could be 10 minutes.
@@SaraElizabethYT thank you so much my wife was like what going on going to these restaurants and then we’re not seeing the names and stuff lol okay thank you. Your video helped so much
3:38 Low Fuel
No my breaks make this ding go off all the time but it's a false notification. My gas is actually full for once.
3% acceptance rate on ue
Not true my acceptance rate is 7 percent and I get orders over$7 a lot just cherry pick make it make sense tip/ miles ratio
Damn, 20 so percent acceptance rate? You know you gotta be at 70 to get ANY orders that make sense, right? Its a struggle I know....I am in the DMV (DC, MD and VA
Not true. I've been testing that theory for 2 yrs now and cherry picking orders is the only way to make really good money on DD. I NEVER let my AR get above 49% because that's when I start getting all the $4 for 2 miles "high paying" orders. So no thank you I'll stick to my 20% AR so I don't run my car in the ground.
It's a lie, I had 5% acceptance and I was getting over 15 to 20 dollars
@@sandief3671 yeahhhh at the end of the day one thing rings true.....you dash however it makes sense for YOU. I always make sure that I keep my AR and my deliveries up so that I can dash anytime, anywhere. The other money hack are shop-n-pays. Really comes in clutch at times. Think I'm doing pretty good for just a few hours after my W-2 job and making a couple hundred and close to it per night;)
@@The-Heart-Will-Testify maybe for you in your market....kudos if that is indeed facts!
I could tell this s*** was garbage on the 1st day.
Time to get a real job. Now I had AMFR poagana ever pull a gun on me in traffic. And that's just a whole different level. Man now for me to go to court. I don't have to spend like a 120. Have him convicted and put in prison. But if I was working for a company they would pay me for every single hour of that.
My acceptance rate hasn't been over 8% in 3 years. I'm on the Eats platform for 6 years, and never dropped below 100%. Elections have consequences. A lesson I learned the hard way, I guess.
Omg you need to keep that up your except rate I’m for real don’t do any cherry picking I know it sux you need to keep that up high I serious take $2 orders $3 whatever
Fuck that hurt don't drop us like that no More 🚑
🤣 my bad
Your Acceptance Rate is what?27% lol Too Funny!!
just some constructive criticism, can you spell check cuz there’s been times you write stuff wrong like “realizing i has a drink” 😂
😆🧐 thanks, I'm so bad at doing that.
The golden rule is a dollar a mile and your making money, if you stuck to this youd be doing good. Also want to ask why the hell youd decline a mcdonald's order for 4.50 for 1.2 miles. Those are the orders to take, you clearly dont know how to dash efficiently
Get it over 70% and you'll finally stop getting trash orders.
biggest lie ever told
@@Cewpins455 You're a dummy too. Hey stay broke.
@bigdrop33 they aren't lying, I'm at 90% and my average order is 8 or 9 dollars for 3 to 4 miles
It's impossible even if you live in a good market and even after you reach Top Dasher you still get crap order. This is all from experience and I live in a good market as well. You will have to take some questionable orders to reach and we'll have to take questionable orders to keep AR. Liars who say they never get any crap orders or they never take any crap orders that's just realistically impossible.@@brandenneal9006
I consistently get 3-5 $25+ payouts a day. Has nothing to do with region because I've done it in 9 different states. I swear some of these RUclipsrs just do it for views and it's more about that over the work. Hell there's people making $12k a month. I do $300-$400 a day consistently.
