As a Carmel kid who was privileged enough to play under both Frank Lenti and Jordan Lynch, I can say you got the facts right about his coaching career. Well done researching!
Glad I was an NIU student when he played there. Dude was awesome to watch live. Used to live right in one of those apartments behind the stadium you can see in the background. Saw all the home games those years
I remember getting out of middle school basketball practice and my dad picking me up and going straight to an NiU game on cold weekday nights and Jordan lighting up the field. Great memories, not sure I ever saw them lose live in dekalb.
Just got recommended this. Nice video! Another guy who had a lot of success as a high school coach basically straight out of a playing career was Doug Pederson. He took over Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport Louisiana and within 3 years they took down Evangel Christian Academy, one of the most storied programs in Louisiana football with alum such as Jermauria Rasco, Brock Berlin, and Jacob Hester, along with QB brothers Josh Booty and John David Booty. Ironically, the youngest of the Booty brothers was a member of that 2007-08 Calvary team that beat Evangel to win their school’s first ever district championship.
Just got recommended few years later and god Lynch was so special. Living in Dekalb growing up he made being a NIU fan amazing. Will never forget being there when he helped finish off the perfect regular season
I was always rooting for this man. The underdog that was Jordan Lynch. Genuinely thought he was having the year Manziel wished he had but obviously never had the high level competition.
The Arial shot you show of Mount Carmel High School when you first mention it, is not the Mount Carmel High School in Chicago where Jordan attended....also the team you show in the purple is not Mount Carmel.
As an Illinois guy I was thinking the same lol, that was probably Mount Carmel HS, in Mount Carmel, IL. huh. Albeit, if not from the State would be confusing. Shit even if your are from the state. You got Mt. Carmel (Chicago), Carmel Catholic (Mundelein), and Mount Carmel HS (Mount Carmel, IL) lol
He is the head coach at Mount Carmel high school in Chicago Illinois and he is already a state champion winning coach ranked number one in the state of Illinois also undefeated
I believe this man would have been a solid NFL receiver. Being a QB always makes guys like Lynch transition to that position easier because of their ability to read defenses mid play and understanding of finding cushions in the defense. He was tough to. Still scratching my head on this one.
The Bears tried him out as a running back and wide receiver but he got cut in the preseason and then the CFL came calling for him to play QB. He was the backup in Edmonton but became the starter and won the Grey Cup. He will soon be the Head Coach at NIU once Hammock steps down.
Great video! He doesn't get enough credit for all that he did on the football field. Former Central Michigan QB Dan Lefevour would be a terrific choice for a video if tou haven't done one on him yet. He was Lynch before Lynch woth slightly worse stats.
Gordie Lockbaum was more as an unlikely Heisman Finalist than Jordan Lynch. He was a 2 way player at division 1-AA Holy Cross playing offense and defense in 1986 and 1987 finishing as high as 3rd. Only one other 1-AA player finished top 3 in the Heisman vote. The late Steve McNair at Alcorn State in 1994. Jameis Winston was the winner in 2013 and a finalist in 2014. So he couldnt make the ceremony in 2012 as a freshman on redshirt.
Ever heard of Gordie Lockbaum. Went to Holy Cross played both ways and was third for the Heisman in 1987. So Gordie was probably the most unlikely finalist ever since he played both ways and was not a QB.
Antonio Gates, Jack Lambert, Randy Moss, Jason Taylor. I mean that's just a bunch of MAC dudes with gold jackets and the one you listed that will have one one day.

Thank you man, I appreciate that a lot!
So what the hell happened administration wise as to why they gave him the boot like that? Did you at least hear anything?
@@diypictures cuz Jordan lynch wanted to come coach there. That simple.

As a WMU fan and being able to watch him live was an honor
same!

Guy had an amazing season. Never had a shot as a pro QB but ran that NIU offense to perfection and was just a tremendous football player
This is when college football was peak
Lol when you showed a picture of mount carmel high school, that was the wrong high school
as an update, lynch just led mount carmel to another 14-0 state championship
I thought he was going to be the greatest player of all time when I saw him play at niu my 5/6 year old self loved him
As a proud niu fan and someone who has Jordan Lynch’s autograph I loved watching him play
Lynch scored the winning TD in the 2015 Grey Cup.
I was always rooting for this man. The underdog that was Jordan Lynch. Genuinely thought he was having the year Manziel wished he had but obviously never had the high level competition.
Wow, absolutely amazing!

Incredible video! Thank you for telling this great story!! Go Huskies!!!
Lynch was Taysom Hill before Taysom Hill.
He is the head coach at Mount Carmel high school in Chicago Illinois and he is already a state champion winning coach ranked number one in the state of Illinois also undefeated

you can’t forget about steve mcnair finishing third in the heisman voting out of alcorn state

Now there's a name I'd forgotten about

You should make a video on Andre Williams. He’s prolly the most forgotten heisman finalist ever
I gotchu thank you for the idea
Great video! He doesn't get enough credit for all that he did on the football field. Former Central Michigan QB Dan Lefevour would be a terrific choice for a video if tou haven't done one on him yet. He was Lynch before Lynch woth slightly worse stats.
Keep it up bro!

Why didn't Lockbaum make it professionally ?. Didn't Paul Palmer play pro for a few years ?.
You should try and do a story of Corey Davis. Or Zach Terrell
Thank you for the ideas bro! I love Corey Davis
But props for the video my guy
Lynch was better than Winston and should’ve won the Heisman.
well done
Great video :D
Dude looks like he's 40

No I haven’t, but it seems like I should make a video on him too!
Tre mason
Havent heard the name in a minute!
wouldn’t Big Ben be considered the most famous MAC player since he was from Miami of Ohio?
Antonio Gates, Jack Lambert, Randy Moss, Jason Taylor. I mean that's just a bunch of MAC dudes with gold jackets and the one you listed that will have one one day.
For the algorithms.
He went to my grammar school
I like this guy.
