Funny how there is targeting in college football but not in the NFL🤔..guess is ok to protect college players, but get your brains scrambled when you're a professional.. just some food for thought.

Well, the total decrease in that year was to improve the consistency of the targeting foul because the NCAA implemented back in 2019 a replay process for targeting; it required the instant replay official to re-evaluate or re-officiate the play as a whole in the instant replay monitors. They were looking for whether or not the player getting hit was either defenseless or not, next they would ensure that there is a clear indicator of targeting (launching, leading with the helmet, lowering the head, and attacking), finally, they would check for forcible contact (if the hit was forcible).

PSU call on #11 was a little much... We let that ride as a targeting call and they WILL come for clean shoulder tackles next if they are "too hard". Letting refs decide outcomes too much with that

JP was one hell of a player. Husker fan so I saw every game he was in. So tragic and sad with everything that happened. Not excusing what he did, you must face your mistakes, but he could have been so much more. Not unknown to be a very soft-hearted person when he could control himself. Should have won a Heisman and a 3rd National Title (LP was only on 2 of the 3 NT teams). RIP Lawerence.

Ngl the Clemson dude was going in for the tackle before fields spun i dont like the targeting penalty and the refs should look for intentional targetings and not accidental targeting but thats just my opinion
