Hi, Karen This is just my opinion and first thoughts on this color.I picture this color working well with a number of nature elements, some sparrows and owls, darker mushrooms, shadows on sand, and weathered fences for example. I think it's harder to use in the man made world because most women wouldn't wear this shade of brown or use it to decorate their home. I loved seeing the color mixing part of this video and would be happy to see more color mixing in future videos. Your painting turned out quite lovely and I am glad you pressed ahead with what you found to be an uninspiring color. Nancy in Nevada
I thought exactly as you with nature but none of my focals worked as they all were more golden or yellow brown. Ita easy enough to do color mixing in videos thanks for the feedback
Strange color but with other brightness makes beautiful. Just like life❤❤❤❤
Yes...it was all about finding colors that added to the color of the year. K
This is gorgeous Karen ,,,,xxxx ❤
Thanks so much Annie
When I first saw the color of the year I wasn’t very excited either. But this is absolutely gorgeous! And what a perfect napkin choice too.
It took awhile to figure out how to make the color work.
Karen it was lovely to watch this evolve. Love the colours you used and how they all come together. Beautiful piece of art. 💕
Thank you so much, it was a real challenge!
Love the drama and mocha moodiness on this
Ohhh love the term moodiness. It fits the feel of the piece

I love mocha moose better than yellowy browns in general
I actually don't like yellow browns either, but I am used to using those in my mixed media...this was a new challenge. k
