- In this video I'll show you the all new subject tracking mode on the DJI Osmo Action 5 pro. I'm really pleased with how the tracking system performs with this action camera, it works better than the Pocket 3. Which is unbelievable really as it's a static camera lens but still follows you with ease.
As you'll see in the video I really put the subject tracking through its paces in all types of scenarios and it keeps up with them all.
The new generation 1/1.3 sensor performs excellently, and I can't fault it. Well done DJI GoPro will be proud lol.

Hows the camera for pictures like close ups. And is it magnetic so can stick to car or will the adhesive go on a car. Wanna get some car shoots

Thanks for the nice video! Nice demonstration! May i ask how it compares to the tracking that the dji osmo mobile 6 does via the mimo app? Would someone be better off with that or with the pro 5 if he cares about the tracking fearure?

@ but you have to stay within the frame. This sounds like a limitation, doesnt it? Whereas with the osmo mobile the whole gimbal rotates and even tilts if you raise or lower in height. I think the gimbal is better but i just found out about this feature of the 5 pro and i am reconsidering whether i should have purchased the gimbal recently because i also got the action 4 actually like a week ago. Maybe i could have just gotten the 5 pro instead of the other 2 😂 lets see..my gimbal only arrived today..

Good video, I was looking for a video just for tracking, on the 5pro..you got a sub.
Hello, just received my DJI action 5 pro, 2 days ago and trying out all the features. Watched your video on the Active Track, tried it and it works good, but I noticed that your video seems to be in a Horizontal view. But when using the active track on the Action 5 it appears to be in the vertical (portrait view), not in the horizontal view, even when using the Mimo app on my iPhone. Everything has had the Firmware updated. Am I missing something, or did you change to horizontal in post production? Looking into the Telesin tracker based on your video, how is it working for you? BTW, i also have the DJI mic 2 and discovered that after initially pairing the 2 mics with the Action 5, all i need to do is remove one or both of the mics from the charging case and they will auto pair with the action 5 one or both within a couple seconds and they work beautifully! Thanks!
@@honigtrailapiary4341 Hi, Make sure you film in a 16.9 aspest ratio then you'll get the horizon look. Sounds like you've been filming in 4.3
The Telesin tracking camera is flawless like in the video I made of it.
@@leeretallic A very fast response answer! Yes changed the ratio to 16:9, wahla...that did the trick, Great! I was a published Film photographer (nature,Wildlife mostly) a few decades ago, now in the digital age, i have to get used to all this new technology! I think i'll probably order the Telesin tracking camera! BTW i've subscribed to your channel.

On my first try, I did the same thing, then I went in and changed the settings to 16.9 and it looks great. always good to experiment using settings to get better at it.

@6:24 You cut the video when you walked to the different spots in the tracking test, why didn’t you just check the pocket 3 to see if it were working or not. And the “disappearing test” you exited the frame and reentered in the same spot you should have tried entering from a different spot, another test (impossible on your own but) would like to see is with the tree test when you walked behind the tree someone else then walks out [see if it picks up on them] and then enter the frame after 3-5 seconds see if it picks up .
