Thanks, for uploading these videos. Your videos bring me peace and calmness. It’s hard being a claim adjuster. I feel defeated everyday. I agree wholeheartedly management is definitely out of touch with everything. My current supervisor was an adjuster 17 years ago. He always brings that up in meetings like dude do you see how the world has changed in 17 years? Lately, I’ve been feeling like giving up. My company did a big layoff in 2023 and many resignations followed right after and we know, once somebody quits the work is just dumped off on the next. I got in this career because it’s pretty stable.
I’m a divorced single mom w/ a 4 year old and the money is decent where I can provide a comfortable life for me and my son. I’m thinking about switching companies but, I’m afraid it’s going to be the exact same thing. I hope god can order my steps over the weeks to come…it’s been rough for me! 🥴

I really appreciate that and thank you for watching! You’re right it’s very hard being a claims adjuster. Like this is a role that people don’t understand unless they’ve done it. I’ve also had the feelings of given up, but I suggest you push through and look for other roles that are still within insurance but not as an adjuster. There is a lot of opportunity once you have the experience and I agree with you on it being stable with kids. That’s part of my reason for staying. Good luck to you and I’m wishing you better days in the near future ❤️

So good to see your videos! I started watching before I became a field adjuster. A little over a year later, I understand exactly what you're speaking of. Thanks and keep posting!!!

Thank you for sharing great info. I like working in insurance, but I hate being an agent and chasing sales. Looking for other career options. Side note, I respect the fact you don’t show your family and focused on the content. Stay sane!

You’re so welcome and thank you for watching! I hear you but this side can be crazy as well but in a different way. I’d suggest shadowing someone at your current company if you can so you can see what a day to day looks like. Good luck to you! Oh and thank you lol yeah they aren’t RUclipsrs so I try to respect it unless there is a need (and they actually want) to be in a video 🙌🏼

I’m a staff adjuster at an insurance company so I don’t have all the specifics on how independent roles work

Do you have to write out an entire claim or there is a form where you put everything together im not goood with wording more like explaining I would hope I can just put in notes as well and they write the claim up and when I say write up is this like English paragraph just need to know.

    • @kelatrishaan6435

I’m not completely sure what you mean, but you just write notes in your claim. Like document the conversations, investigations, payments etc. Your company will likely give you a template and guidelines for how they want the notes to look.

I'd love to ask: which months are often the busiest for adjusters??
Gosh - I've been handling claims since November of last year, and it's like day and night how much I understand and how I've been improving my skillset. Still have plenty of questions 😂 but it's so awesome that I discovered your down to earth channel and videos, and it's so helpful to know that your 300k estimates compared to my max 6k estimates are still the same in nature. I'm a virtual adjuster, and I don't want to do any outside adjusting (mainly because I can't drive!) but I love learning from you. Thanks so much for your videos.

Great question! Honestly winter is busiest in my experience because of all the crazy weather. Plus January specifically is busy because people are coming back from holiday vacations and ready to move forward with their claims.
Thank you so much for watching I’m happy to share my experience and good luck to you in your new career ❤️those $300k estimates are no joke lol but honestly it becomes repetitive and at this level you have a lot of help from experts to ensure you understand what you’re reading

Your are cooking with the sauce, my question for the industry is how is it possible to do what you do in 8 hours? I think in CA we should be salaried like other states. What do you think, I like it better when I am able to clear my desk the same day and start fresh the next day

    • @kelatrishaan6435
      @kelatrishaan6435  11 месяцев назад +2

Thank you Chris! To be honest it’s difficult to get what we do done in 8 hours, it’s a balancing act of putting out fires and trying to stay on top of everything. I did a salary role my last job and my issue is I worked so much that I barely could breathe. It’s a catch 22 because for this role salary is very helpful to help you get through your load, but it’s only beneficial if you’re with a company that doesn’t take advantage.

Thank you so much for this video. I applied for a Claims Adjuster position and I have been invited to take the test. 🤞🏽. Can I ask you how often do you have to leave home for appointments? My position would be a hybrid position. Thanks in advance!

    • @kelatrishaan6435

You’re so welcome thank you for watching! In this role because I handle more complex claims I go out typically about 1-2 times a week for appointments and the others are desk days. When I worked in the regular field offices I’d go out 2-4 times a week depending on workload but I’d try to have at least 1-2 desk days so I could work on my files. Good luck to you on your test 🙌🏼

Great content glad I subscribed! I am looking to potentially get into the insurance industry more specifically claims adjusting and I just have some questions. Do you have a degree ? Or did you go on your own to obtain your license? Idk where to start I don’t have a degree rn but am willing to go back to school and have been trying to get into a company that will either train me or I will go the route on my own

    • @kelatrishaan6435

Thank you so much I’m happy to have you! I have a marketing degree, but you don’t need a specific one to get into insurance. Some companies require a degree and some don’t. I am licensed now, but I didn’t start out licensed. I’m in CA so it’s not required out here to be licensed unless you’re working on out of state claims. I’d recommend looking on your states department of insurance website to see what their requirements are to get you started.
