I have been watching some of your content as I discern the possibility of becoming a property field claims adjuster. I’ve never done anything like it so seeing your content is helpful. Is it possible (since it seems you worked the position before) to work as a property field claims adjuster and still have a family life? I have three kids. My current job I work until 3:30 PM with no chance of weekends or after hour call outs. When I go on vacation I don’t ever take my work with me. Is this possible as a property claims adjuster?
First thank you so much for watching and I’m happy you find the content helpful. It’s absolutely possible to work regular hours and have a family life. Overtime is offered and before I had a family I would do more and work some weekends to get caught up on work. Now that I’m a wife and mom I just try to be more efficient with my work day Mon-Friday so I don’t have to work outside of those hours. When I do it’s because I choose to. I hope that helps and good luck to you.
@ Thank you for getting back to me and I so appreciate the insight. I’m an analytical person with a a leaning in investigation. This might just be the career path for me. Thanks
@ Hello, I had a follow up question after watching one of your other videos. You mentioned that you try to schedule field meets in the morning and be done with them prior to 11 AM. Did you (or do you) ever find that some field meets had to be late in the day? Did you ever have to schedule on a weekend for a field meet?
Yes I’ve scheduled inspections for later in the day BUT I usually won’t go past 2pm depending where I’m traveling to. My workday ends between 4:15-4:30pm and I make it clear to my clients that the inspection needs to take place during reasonable business hours. I’ve never done an inspection on a weekend and never would. In this industry you need to put your foot down because people will try to have you coming out at all hours of the day, but you control your schedule, especially when you have a life and family outside of work.
Metrics are one thing and now they want to add behavioral ratings for things like how we react emotionally to their bs or participate in discussions that have nothing to do with insurance.
Girl that part! I feel like as I get older I’m sick of the BS and corporate politics and games. I keep it cute most days but if I’m asked how I feel I don’t hold back anymore.
Love your vlogs they are so honest
I appreciate you thank you! ❤️
I totally get everything! My typical day
You understand!!
Insurance vacations never feel like vacations - stuff just piles up so bad! Come from vacation to a pile of unworked insanity
Seriously! You spend the last day or two of your vacation with anxiety about what you’re coming back to lol
welcome back as jesus brought u here from vacay its november kela. hows your grateful day of faithfulness
