  • Tired of hand entering all of the repeater frequencies, offsets, and tones into your HTs. Well, those days are over. Watch this video to find out how, with RT-Systems Ham Radio Programming Software, this becomes an easy and fast task.
I don’t work for, nor am I getting any type of consideration from RT-Systems. That said, I’m a fan and really encourage everyone to have a copy of this software for each rig you own.

I use RT Systems on all my radios and I love it. Most times I will order the software the same day I order a radio and have it ready when the radio shows up. I have bought so many different programs from them that I make folders for each manufacturer and stick all the programs in them to clear up computer screen space

Great tip! I do something similar. I put a folder on my desktop called "Ham Radio" and have individual folders in that top level folder for downloaded manuals, programmers, ADI files, etc. 73 de Tom, ND3N

I just got it to program mine. Well written software and their tech support is amazing! The cable and software package is well worth it.

Tom, nice video! Sorry if I missed this, but why did you reset the radio, and then copy the data from the HT into the RT system software? Thank you for the video and your time and consideration.

I reset the radio, not because it has to be, but because I wanted to show that I was starting with an non-programmed rig - just like you'd get fresh out of the box. Starting with a clean slate.... hi hi.... 73 de Tom, ND3N

Do you need cable for every rig or possible to program to and from an SD card. Can you test and report for the ID-51 please. Looks great software especially when you can use same list on different brands. 73's

    • @ND3N

Many rigs use the same cable or a common cable. For example, my RT-Systems ID-51 uses the same cable as my glucose monitor, so no need to get a separate one. My FT-991A and FT-891 use the same standard USB cable that I use for to connect to my computer, and my TH-D74 uses a standard USB cable that I have a dozen stashed away. Thanks for the video idea I'll be sure to credit "M VE", I've already pulled out the ID-51 and Cable and set it aside and the video should be posted this weekend. 73 de Tom, ND3N

I've played a bit with Chip, but wasn't impressed. For the small cost, RT-Systems is a lot more intuitive and once you've done it for one rig, you can do it with any rig as they all use the same operations. Also, they have fantastic customer service to help you get your rig programmed.
