Bought a secod hand spider for half the price (seller told me it is 6 months old ) and installed in on my Stylo cranset and looks solid . I put a bit of blue Loktite only to the 3 bolts on the crankset. I made a comparison with my road bike P2M and my Kikcr Core and i think i have to reduse the Xcadey to 96% . Gotta do some more tests and then out on the Greek steep mountains. Good review m8!!!
Great review! I'm been in the market for a budget friendly power meter. I wanted one that would record both left and right legs. I know these spiders aren't 100% accurate with left and right but I've read the algorithm written into these things do a decent job at least. I've been doing tons of research on the Xcadey and Segeyi spider power meters and both products seem to have good reviews and feedback. Thanks for doing this review...I almost considered doing the Xcadey crankset but I think I'll just do just the spider and connect it to my Sram crankset. thanks again!!
Thanks for the review. Just the info I needed. I am looking for shorter cranks and was going to try these. Not now. Power meter looks good. Engineering looks a little lacking.
Too bad i seems to experience the same issue you had with my Xcadey crankset where the spline being messed up as it actually came loose after a good 100km cycling. Any chance you manage to get a replacement from Xcadey?
That is a huge bummer! I have not reached out to them yet but I need to. Definitely an issue they have with their crankarms. The Steel Spline seems good on mine so just need a left side crank arm. Was yours the Driveside or non driveside?
@@BlackWaterCyclist it was the non drive side....drive side is solid....the axle spline is all good....just the crank I think the material is somewhat softer than the axle...plus the milling of the thread....just have to follow BB....lefty tighty on the non drive side (I reached out to them but their reply are pretty slow with instructions to tighten to 40nm and using loctite)
I am actually still using the spider on a Sram 3 bolt crankset and it has been working flawless. It reads power similar to other power meters and there aren't any crazy spikes or anything. The battery has been working flawless. So I would recommend it.
Your left crank arm did not go in as further as it needed to be because of the lack of grease on the axel,so it was a faulty mounted arm.My opinion. With grease on it would have go in another 30%
Yes originally the XCadey power meters would run low so GPlama recommended running it from 100% to 105% which you can set in the app when connected to the power meter.

Good to hear. The one I ordered was the spider only. I have a cheap praxis crank that came on my bike and it uses the sram 3 bolt style chainring.
That is perfect! You are good to go then! I may order one for the gravel bike in the future.
@@BlackWaterCyclist gonna be my first power meter. I’m pretty excited. I just picked up a Garmin edge 530 today too.
Awesome review! I'm using a GRX 600 crankset? You think Xcadey would fit in?

I have the same xcadey crank for roadbike
Your xcadey crank is 110 BCD or 104?
Is it the same as road bike xcadey crank?
Mine is 104bcd. The arms look identical to the road version but I believe it just has a wider spindle. How is yours holding up?
@@BlackWaterCyclist currently still ok.
Hi, how is this thing doing till now? I'm in doubt about this one or one from Sigeyi

As far as i know, now they have new titanium axle with better deep spline teeth.

Yeah apparently they sent it to me not correctly assembled.
Warum kann man die App nicht mehr Downloaden Apple ??
Calibration 105%?

Buy this at your own risk there's no aftersale support when you had issues.
