I wish they would create a subscription plan that you can subscribe to the instruments that you don't own. In that way you only pay for the instruments that you don't own. Because if i take plus maybe I already own 80%.
@@jimmyjay977 in this case, just don’t subscribe if you own mostly everything.🤷🏽♂️ If you want something new, just buy it at retail price or subscribe to a plan and use only what you want.
@@beatkultr I got the Komplete 13 ultimate bundle. But I would love to own the collector's edition. But the full price is just too expensive. Maybe with a Black Friday sale... I also would love to buy the Komplete Kontrol 88s MK3.
B-Friday is an excellent option that’s been working for allot of people
Good thing I got Akai MPC. Just pay for plugins and it's all yours. No subscription.
@@nohandsignalgaming5641 😂
@@nohandsignalgaming5641 right! For the past 2 yrs Ive been repeatedly reassured that jumping ship within the 45 day return period. Buying a live 2 and converting NI sample packs to mpc format was the absolute wisest decision I’ve made. I’d have been tight a/f watchin MPC users constantly waking up to new plugins, free updated/upgrades and MPC 3!? Essentially breathing brand new life into machines that came out as far back as 2017!??? NI done already came out with a new keyboard controller that ain’t even compatible with what they got out, and maschine+ with better specs then my live 2 still crashes fairly regularly. My live 2 crashes 1 time in the whole time I used it and it was an update issue.
I just bout a MPC live 2 months ago. I have komplete 14 ultimate and Ableton. I hate subscriptions. I’ll pay for the upgrade.
@@jghosttheconscious sounds like a good plan
It, essentially, devalues their catalog for the consumers who paid full price. Why continue to invest hard earned money in a product the manufacturer is simply gonna discount? It's like organized economic deflation.
@@buukwerm2232 isn’t renting supposed to be cheaper though?
@jokahzo when you rent an apartment, are you spending more or less?
@jokahzo if renting is more than you feel is fair, then you have the option to just buy it one time and own it. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
@buukwerm2232 actually it doesn’t. Think about it. You paid your money to have ownership for life. New comers or the folk who doesn’t have the bulk funds like you can get access and cheaper rate, however they are paying for this same item over and over because there just renting the access to have. Once someone doesn’t pay or can’t afford to pay one month, they loose asses. But not you since you own it.
Also this may be a good option for people who just want to test a plug before they buy completely.
The product is not being discounted. They’re just maximizing ways to make more money. It’s what all the other boys are doing such as waves, slate digital, etc.
@@beatkultr exactly what I’m getting at, I’m lost as to the issue with this is.
Hard Pass.
Truth. All the mutiple $$-thousands-$$ ive invested in Komplete ultimate and upgrading to the new versions for at least 5 years straight. Plus Maschine expansions and separate play and kontakt instruments not included in Komplete...? Not to mention hardware like Komplete kontrol keyboards and maschine mk3.
It feels like a slap in the face to us loyal long time customers. I have ZERO subscriptions for music...and dont plan on having any in the future. If they start coming out with new stuff thats available to "subscription customers only", or get stingy with what comes in the new versions of Komplete that you can buy and own...screw that noise. Thell lose at least 1 loyal customer real fast. NI has plenty of solid competition these days...they better watch thier step.
@@EricJohnson-fh8zj yeah I hear ya
Exactly, I have spent a fortune on NI too. They will lose two loyal customers.
It has been coming for years. The biggest slap in the face was how they handled Maschine for the past 10 years. AKAI craps all over them now.
I made my first beat without using anything from NI last night. I'll take my money to the company that celebrates it.
@buukwerm2232 using only samples right?
They have a chart that shows you what's included with each tier
@@lmayes69 yeah I demonstrated that in the video
@@beatkultryou sure did my bad,... was watching at 2x and missed it the first time
First PreSonus with Studio One subscription only new plugin, now NI with this. Akai Pro is always looking for converts!!! Just saying...
Yeah man. It’s the new wave right now. Then pretty soon Akai will announce their subscription models too
I understand why a lot of folks are mad but I don't have any issues with the subscriptions.
@@blulacez4421 there you go
I hate em
Ill never purchase a subscription.. im going the complete opposite way of subscription model.. i have a moog matriarch and just bought a OB-6.. just think in 5 years of subscriptions you could own a top peice of hardware .. and youll own it forever .. i purchased FL studio .. lifetime free updates ..
the sad future of music making
@@theopacalypse unfortunately
@@theopacalypse only if you take part in it
They ain’t even compatible with the M3 line yet”that I know of”…so they’re definitely not doing this for their core users and not being prepared for new devices to attract new customers is disgusting.
@@PrincePheromone I’m sure there’s a method that makes sense to them. Of course this not for the pro users. This is for people who need easy access but this ain’t rent with option. This is in and out. Pro users own these products and in the long run save money.
7:57 I’m a Komplete Ultimate Pro 33 degree Grand Potentate Ultramagnetic Maximum Collec- WHATEVER the top iteration is. Since K9. The upgrade is like 4-500 every two years. Here’s why the sub model may behoove even someone like me with their 360 pro model at a cost of about $547/yr:
1. Whenever they hit us with that update, they immediately AFTERWARDS drop a gang of pivotal vat’s and Maschine packs not included in what I just spent 5-600 dollars on, meaning my 💩 is immediately INKOMPLETE. I’d imagine a sub model like this is a way to stay current. Otherwise, I’m inevitably finna cop SOME of those new hotness titles, and they finna be 100-150 bucks per kontakt title and 50 per new Maschine/Battery pack. Let’s not forget the play series, which are higher. And those new effects like Raum and whatnot. It adds up. This 550/yr model could mean I ain’t gotta worry about it. It just some days wake up to new ish.
2Native Instruments owns Izotope now, right? So I’m curious if the new Izotope 💩 is gonna be included.

@@beatkultr cool, bro
Making everything cheap. People still gonna make trash.
@@jghosttheconscious 🤷🏽♂️true
Bro you gotta be a shill gettin your NI stuff for fee. Cause ain’t nuthing good
About this. if they gonna do this they should just be like splice. Cause they hardware ain’t where it’s at, their sounds are.
You own NI hardware?
Waste of my time.
