Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR

I am really impressed by this small video and audio recorder/viewer. Although it has a lot of features and functionalities, Blackmagic could still add some missing features they neglected in a firmware update. So the first half of the video is what it can do and who it's for, the second half is about what it can't do.

Which connecting piece do you use to mount the monitor on the camera or the top handle?
I have a lever arm and the SmallRig monitor holder, but they are not really secure and wobble dangerously.

Can you explain the fan noise a bit more? I had a ninja v and had to give it back because it was just too loud. I would pick it up with my mic all the time and I bothered me a fair bit. Are there different fain modes and auto screen brightness to prevent the monitor from overheating? Like a silent mode would be fantastic. Thx for the video 😊

Hallo en bedankt voor een leerzame video. Ik overweeg ook een externe monitor aan te schaffen. Ik heb een panasonic S5 II X en film in 5.8K prores 1.6. Verder heb ik, via USB c een externe SSD aangesloten voor de opnames. Kan ik deze gewoon als "monitor" gebruiken? Het scherm van de panasonic is me te klein geworden :-) En krijg ik dan op de monitor hetzelfde (instellingen etc) te zien als op de kleine panasonic monitor? Of uitsluitend het beeld? Bij voorbaat dank.

what storage space do you need for ProRes 442 (e.g. for one hour)? Format 3840x2160 / 50p: 980 Mbit/s = 120 MB/s : x3600 = 440 GB? Is this right?
