Love my all original LST & LST 2. I had them both in storage for 7-8 years. I put new glow plugs in and they both fired up with 4 seconds. I mean simply amazing Engineering back in the day from Losi and Dynamite.
@@williamoleary9330 your 100% right! my .26 back then I had tuned bad lol. I can say with a bad tune they still fire right up. I came a long way since I made that video as I’m new to nitro and lately those engines are beasts and over finally unlocked their potential
You know someone two years ago was selling an unused, brand new still in the original box Mach .26 for the LST. I snatched it up for I think $120. If the original Mach .26 that’s in my LST ever goes i’m dropping that sucker right in there:)
Hey man, first off, I just want to say thanks for your help. I have 30 plus rc cars and just picked up my first nitro lst with a 454 in it. Thanks to you, that new carb on runs flawless. 2 question what did you use for the header seals? Second, when you did you 454 swap, what did you use for a pull cord? My cord is starting to fray. Thanks again for your help.
Exhaust seals I used dynamite for block to header and protek for header to pipe. Proteks fit loosely on block but fit good for pipe seal. I had old Lrp pull start laying around, rebuilt with different cord it but is pretty much same thing. I watched the video and saw forgot to mention that the Mach .26 pull start didnt fit Mach .26ss backplates (backplate used on 454). Sh engine pull cord might be same as lrp as they are under same company, but I did break the lrp pull starter and abused it again when I rebuilt it and it hasn’t shown any wear.
great job on the resto/video/tunes. Check tank pressure at the primer and cap. Could cause it to run lean at higher rpm. I see its rich on the low and then leans...
Drove the truck around today and was running ok but there’s definitely a leak in the tank as it’s very lean and fuel is not getting to carb quick enough like you said. Primer had never worked for the entire time I’ve had it and I looked at cap o ring and it needs to be replaced.
High speed and low speed should be flush but right now I have my high speed one turn down from flush and low speed is two turns out for me. Good luck and your tune should be around there.

First version LST. I consider it vintage but they were made in 2004.
