Loved this video! I like seeing trouble-shooting vids! What's fun (or funny! depending on how ya look at it!) about nitro is that everyone chimes in as to what their theory is! Sometimes, people come across as helpful...othertimes I have to scratch my head and wonder why they said anything! Haha! Love your videos, man! I simply cannot grasp why the nitro section of this "hobby" has not re-emerged, post-lipo. (I am not fond of that word when nitro is involved! Does someone who runs an old 2 stroke 125cc dirtbike consider themself a hobbiest?). Anyway I cannot believe nitro has not come back to take part of the spotlight. Because, really, it is almost like a progression one makes. When you are ready to put your big boy pants on and have an engine in something... the experience is a whole different thing! Thank you, Bret! You da man!
I totally agree on both statements Nitro is a passion most don't/won't understand yes to be fair these are toys and a total waste of money but it keeps me sober and out of jail and most of all my son loves to help me!!!!! I wish I could get my older son to rc but he just is different and I'm not a fan of forcing him But my baby nitro he is super smart and will be a pro by the time he is 10

Also thank you for the kind words and I haven't forgotten about you I will be finishing that video and will be shipping the adapter shortly I'm sorry for the wait
Either lean (sounds like LS to me) or sucking air. Check the tank for air leaks. LST tanks are notorious for leaking air through the primer. Good video 👍
Mines been doing the same thing recently. Yours is much worse than mine. I’d recommend getting whole new SH .28 carb (same carb as losi 454) goes for 30 bucks on Amain. You can swap out seals but it may cost you the same. You definitely have an air leak. New carb is easiest way as it comes with rough tune and ready to run. If you want original body you can swap carb bodies as everything is identical on both carbs(just carb bodies have different lettering and color obviously). I’ve got a small air leak which leans out the engine when I’m off the throttle. I’m gonna fix tomorrow, I’ll reach back to you for an update if I fixed it or if there’s something new.
So I ended up slapping a force 1213d on it and it is much better still trying to get the tune perfect but way better you can see this in the tuning/troubleshooting guide
@haywirerc I though the same thing that mine is still leaking but I'm going to just use the black rtv if you use the correct one it's not that bad taking it apart and redoing it fir bearing changes
I did find the issue the high speed needle oring was like plastic when I cut it off it was bad but a oring from a Traxxas carb kit worked I'm super happy about that!!!!👍
I second this statement next video you will see I replace it and it's a 100 times better but still not perfect I think I need to replace all seals in the carb

@Nitro_rc_life I appreciate you for doing that, and I look forward to the video!!! 🤘💪
I noticed it wants to die when you take the glow igniter out. Usually a sign the glow plug needs to be replaced
Another great video..I've heard how good the LST is ..I may get one ..I know my guy Chino gonna live this video he the LST 👑

Forsure sucking air the high speed needle oring was like plastic when I cut it off

Nice. I found no leaks anywhere. But I suspect a leak in the block, I think it’s in the backplate so I’m gonna swap new seal and see if it’s good!

Nice vid. Yes i think the handling is some of the best. I wish Losi would bring them back. I love my LST2 wooo nice video. 👍🔥💪🏼👊🏻💯😝
Pro tip bro !!!! Put plumbing water tape just a thin strip around hsn will seal perfectly just a little pro tip from down under 🤜💯🫡👏
Found the issue? The lst is the best MT ever, sadly not made anymore, take care of it its a collector

Just turned on the vid. This was another cool vid. Temperamental nitros TAKE …🎬
These LSTs are hard to find. eBay has one for $400 dunno about the engine though…
