I found out about Project Firestart in 2010 when I first played and finished System Shock 2 and I was searching for more games like it or even similar. Needless to say I was very impressed by what the small team at Dynamix managed to achieve with this game on the C64. This small C64 title understands what makes for a good survival horror experience better than 80% of the shit that's out there today.
Not to take anything away from this game but it opens with a kind of plothole, they can set the self destruct by remote, as stated by rhe bald dude, so why are they sending a person to do it? Just blow it up now.

That's not a plot hole at all. They explain it in the intro. They want him to go in and collect the data and find out what has happened.
