I just got back from Nice a few days ago.. hopefully the weather is better now than it was while I was there. I've always wondered where it would be better to stay in this lovely city so thanks for the pointers👍
Thank you for providing in depth content that is not typically produced, especially by the RUclipsrs that spend 3 days in Nice and move on. We are planning to move to Nice in September, so we love this content. We’ve watched your videos going back to Liguria; you always make great videos.
excellent video -- & thank you! Now I can show my relatives the neighborhood where we actually purchased 8 years ago! We have indeed found the Carre d'Or to be quite pleasant.
@@happygoluckytravel I watched your video on the Musicians quarter. Love that Ara with the Bell Epoque/Haussmanian Buildings, I like the Porte area but don’t want to have to take the train all the time. Also, Carre Do’r is OK and the Jean Medecin area. I like a neighborhood feel not so much touristy.
I visited Nice, back in the 60s on the USS Lawe. I don't recall the name of the place where the ship docked. We had to take a cab to get to Nice. It was about a half-hour ride on winding mountainous roads. The ride was thrilling, but not nearly as thrilling as it was at night going back to the ship. I wouldn't mind visiting again.
Thank you for watching! From your description it sounds like you pulled into Villefranche, which was used in history as a naval base because the bay there goes very deep close to shore. Hope you do get to come back one day!
We loved this video on Carré d'Or ... please keep up the good work and we'll be especially interested in the places you find that we can afford 🙂 Hoping to see your "take" on available real estate in Quartier des Musiciens or La Libération neighborhoods. Thanks!
Yummy $25USD pastries…might be more expensive that the Negresco..except it might go well with the kir Royale at the Negresco..my favorite place to stay..😊
The apartments are lovely, but price point is rather high for modest retirement incomes! I guess I should start in less costly area and just visit Nice. Any other videos on more affordable neighborhoods?
@@PascalDupont-ft7hdOui Monsieur, merci beaucoup! I have heard of some of those regions also. Have you thoughts on Toulon? (I heard of from IL correspondent).
Amazing video! This is very helpful. Hoping to sell our home in the DC area someday and move to Nice or surrounding areas. Out of curiosity, is Menton a more affordable alternative to Nice? And are towns across the the border in Italy like Ventimiglia or Bordighera worth considering?
Thank you for watching! Towns across the border in Italy are generally less expensive, but further from a good airport. Bordighera has the most potential of the two. Other than the old town, Ventimiglia isn't as charming, with a lot of day trippers shopping for less expensive food and alcohol. We only know Menton from day trips, we hope to learn more about it!
Great video, i'm from Alexandria, Egypt and visited Nice many times, it reminds me of how Alexandria was when i was growing up in the 80's before the overpopulation, garbage and ugly buildings went up...i will be retiring in Nice, as the Meditteranean is in my blood..would love to if you guys can post good websites for us to see real estate there
Thank you for video can you please show some apartments in good location under $200000,If there is one! Size doesn’t matter, completely done & good & safe location matters Merci
Thank you for watching. In the meantime, you can check out websites like Bienici for real estate listings, prices and locations included. All the best for your hunt!
Thank you for watching! It's probably been sold, you could double check on Bienici if you haven't already tried that. Are you moving to Nice? All the best!
Nice is sandwiched between St Laurent du Var on the West and Villefranche sur Mer to the right. It then stretches all the way back to the mountains. Though there are some sheltered parts that give the illusion of greenery it is mostly densly urban. If you want real countryside then you will need to go outside of Nice itself. Phillip.
Thank you for watching. Apartments for rent move quickly. A real estate platform like bienici will give you most properties for rent and for sale. All the best for your search!
Rocky beaches and Disney like experience in Nice. All the Americans love it coz it reminds them of California. If you can believe it. Why not try something different? Go to Poitiers, Rennes, Toulouse, Bordeaux…. So many smaller towns are charming and historic without the Disneyworld and astronomical price experience that Nice offers.
Great video you guys did a great job but France is still unaffordable for a normal human being $100.000 for 100 Square foot average in the best part of Nice to live , I messed up 10 year’s ago And should have bought a place then , Again you guys do a great job one of the best travel and relocation RUclips channels

The 2nd Appartment looks fine as is. What else should be updated?
Thank you for watching. There was a small room that had not been renovated, which could have been a great utility room.
