The Wife is Right - Love makes a family, not blood links.
My Biological Father turned his back on my younger half-brother and me. My Mom married an amazing man who raised me and my siblings, he did everything a Dad would do; from taking me to Father-Daughter Dances to threatening my first boyfriend when he learned I was dating. They aren't together anymore, but we still call each other, he sends me birthday gifts and sends me money whenever he feels like I need it. He's my Dad and I don't give a damn that I don't have a strand of his DNA.

This is a great Video. This brings back painful memories which i have been enduring. My relationship of 5 years ended 3 months ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

I am so for the Petty! Love it when Op is not a pushover! I can't stand the stories when people clearly don't know how to stick up for themselves... personally, I would definitely want my husband to understand he is wrong I could care less about getting along with the family but as I am married and Op in laws reminds me of my inlaws only difference is they won't admit they are wrong, I will tolerate them for my husband sake
.however, I refuse to speak to my mother in law we will not have that kind of communication..i give them 2 hrs of my time for family related events only. But being one happy family not gonna happen and to be honest I don't expect it at all.

I’m 61, my biological father walked away before I was even born. I’ve never met him and have only seen about three pictures of him. Now my dad came into my life when I was two, he loved me he cared for me and he was there for me. Took me to the hospital when I broke my wrist, came to all my choir concerts at school. Pick me up when I called him in a panic after I’ve been kidnapped. Walked me down the aisle and loved my children as if they were his own blood. Dad’s are diapers to dating. I don’t consider the man who donated his sperm my dad at all he is nothing more than my biological father. My dad is the man who was there for me all my life.

WOW the amount of hypocrisy that this man is spewing is insane. What the hell is it with in laws thinking just because a woman marries into their family that that means she belongs to them and only them? and trying to make her take care of them whenever they want her too? You don't get married so you'll have a free nurse maid to attend to your family that's not what marriage is for.

*clears throat* Let me explain this to the idiot husband. DNA has nothing to do with parenting. My “donor” walked away (So no I will not help him, he’s still barely around). Now the man I call Dad, who stepped up to raise me from a baby (He was there before I was born) that’s my dad! My only dad!
I would have done anything for him, the moment i lost my dad my heart shattered. I lost a very loving dad that I still miss him everyday of my life.
18:24 Also look up the “blood is thicker than water” quote.
“The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” The saying means that chosen bonds are more significant than the bonds with family or “water of the womb.”

I'd rather have my stepdad, who became my Daddy after adopting me.....because he CHOSE me as his daughter rather than, me, being an ACCIDENT OF BIRTH.
Children born of their parents have no choice but to have those parents.....but my Daddy CHOSE to have me as his daughter, which makes our relationship better than blood related parents & children.
It's like: a dog gives birth to puppies.....but that doesn't make her a mother. 😅
Or the male dog a father...😂
Accidents of birth seem to be unhappier children than I was being chosen by my daddy.
And I WAS RAISED to be better, behave better, more considerate, kind, loving, and educated because I was raised by a step-dad who chose to give me his name and love me as his own child, through adoption.
God bless all special men who step up to the plate and love children who need a real man as a father.❤😊
