These videos are a treat which you've provided. I visited Toronto last year for a Road Scholar trip, road the light rail cars, but couldn't see enough of the lines. The design of transit rail lines and high rises seems to fit well together. Your photography, showing the blocks of small businesses along the line, keeps me looking at them. Thank you for posting these long videos!

Me too. One reason for this is that Iike the articulated ones. But the con is they did not support wheelchairs. Now that is different because we got these ones. Thanks to the TTC for making this improvement.

Thanks for the ride! I miss the good ’ol St. Clair route. I hopped along the 512 streetcar regularly as a child and teenager, not to mention that my daycare, former primary school, middle school, and high school were all around St. Clair. My, has St. Clair changed over the years. I miss the CLRVs, but the low-floor streetcars are just as nice.
Since recording this video, is there any idea if streetcar service will extend west to Runnymede? Curious minds ought to know. (-:

Thank you for the kind words.
Regarding St. Clair's extension west, it is in the books as a long term plan, but political will for it has cooled since 2010, unfortunately. Plans at the time called for going as far west as Scarlett.
The city is protecting the right-of-way, so it could still happen. To help it along, I encourage people to write to their city councillors, the mayor, and their members of provincial parliament.

@@transittoronto They should extend east to Warden for relief on Line 2. During rush hour, the subway is always full.

@@lunascent80 i think an issue with that is that st clair cuts off for a few blocks down there, so unless they bulldoze an entire neighbourhood or go underground it cant happen
