- More and more we are seeing the "Disney-fication" of the evangelical Christian church. Evangelical worship services are more and more no longer based on biblical principles but rather on secular entertainment and human innovation.

My wife follows people like this in her church that's why I stopped going' it's been a night mare sence she has been going there 'Please pray for my marriage and my kids .

You stopped going there but did you start attending a biblical church? You're the spiritual leader and should be in a biblical church
I am not the most conservative guy out there, but I have a HUGE issue with churches using secular music as part of their "worship" services.....and I say this as a musician. We have freedom in Christ, but we must always revere the presence of God.
Agreed! I'm not a conservative to speak of as well; however, I've never understood why certain churches insist on being "cool" (i.e. playing secular music in worship). Being "cool" is the exact opposite of showing reverence to Jesus Christ.

My grandma goes to Church by the Glades and it scares me so much because most Christians have no idea what good expository preaching is and they don't care. They just want to be entertained.

And if the founder is shown to be a "wolf in wolf's clothing" not even trying to masquerade as a Sheep?
Which by default means that the arena must populated by unregenerate?
Therefore, the gentleman analysing should not be quoting any scripture that suggests that the "Synagogue of satan" is a Church.
The scripture he should be using for his exposé is

The Word of God can stand on its own legs w/o help from secular culture. I don't remember Jesus or any of the apostles needing laser light shows or dance crews for their messages to convict or encourage ppl.
Profound Truth: "The Word of God can stand on its own....!" God's Word doesn't need elaborate sets on the platform, or other props you mentioned.

I use to go to a church where one time they turned the lights down, turned on the disco lights and played Happy song from Ferrell. What a sick way to have church. Some people even got up and started dancing. Needless to say I left that church. I'll even name it New Day Church in Paso Robles, Ca.
I went to a church several years ago that did similar things. Twice at the beginning of the young adult Bible Study, they played Breaking Benjamin and Killswitch Engage over the intercom. Even being a fan of those bands, I thought it was strange and out of place to be playing them in a time that was supposed to be dedicated to studying the Word.
Bezelt3... The acts 17 reference was spot-on! I went and read nearly the whole chapter & I saw something I hadn't seen before. Paul preached to Jews in thess. & they rejected him! The Jews in Berea searched the scriptures to verify what Paul preached! Then they believed!!! They were Jews, that believed!!! Thanks, BezelT3!

Total blasphemy these churches are doing!!!! I'm a Pastor's wife and the worship leader/singer/pianist and I would NEVER EVER allow that kind of Babylon entertainment during our worship. Watching that Justin Bieber type worship literally made me so nauseous.
It frightens me when the whole audience (yep, not a congregation) cheers and claps when this muppet (sorry JIm Henson) gived them permission to do ANYthing.
Just left our church for similar reasons. It’s so disturbing the amount of worldly influence in the church all in the name of being “culturally relevant” can’t take swimming against the tide anymore. It’s exhausting! I pray people still find Jesus in the midst of all the “shows” at church. So much false teaching & lack of doctrine God’s word.
The worst part is that I see no problem with having a little fun as long as that fun is working toward a proper message. It's not appropriate in every context, however, and that's where these people stumble and fall.
I should think, "time to go worship God," not, "time to go hang out at church for a while, mah dude."
Fun should be seeking holy worship of Christ and hearing his word proclaimed. Fun for a Christian should look different than the world's fun.

I am curious what type of church is shown in other videos ( a church you would reccomend) I have attended Episcopal for many years. Recently we lost our priest, he was transferred and replaced by a woman. Since then I have been looking for a new church.

Hi, Letty!! I'm not sure if you've ever heard of Pastor, Chris Rosebrough and his channel Fighting for the Faith, but he has TONS of videos critiquing some horrendous 'preaching'. One called 'Camping with Jesus' defies logic and strains credulity. That being said, only Pastor Rosebrough made it tolerable because he was critiquing it. For grins, I re-watched it on 2x speed.
A good way to see the heart of church is see how it reacts when say something about a sporting team versus something said about Jesus
I've seen an outbreak of emotions over a sporting team while when someone is talking about Jesus they are comatosed . I left a church were the leader was on the fun wagon. Fun pretty much equates to I love the things of the world. He must have gone to the same school as this bloke.

Popular culture is called "Popular Culture" for a reason. Because it is what is "in, or hip" at the time. This goes along with the "Jesus Culture" that was first introduced in the 1970s and continues to evolve today. 'Fun' is the first syllable of the word Funeral. When a church values fun as an important part of the service it is digging its own grave. Fear of God, Holiness and Worshipping hearts are a good place to start for a church service.

These guys all act so much alike--more than assertive--in your face and strutting the stage. "Cool" seems to be demonic. I always wanted someone to grasp and explain the meaning of it to me. And the next decade it's lame. Maybe thesaurus could use worldly attached to the word cool.

Fun? The word 'Muse' means to think deeply about something. The word 'Amuse' has a near opposite meaning to 'Muse' and is the word stem for the longer word 'Amusement'
.'Fun'... To think in a shallow way. Just as it is between the words 'Theist' and 'Atheist' it's the same between 'Muse' and 'Amuse'. A good biblical sermon ought to be a challenge to make us think. This pastor, when he had just finished seminary, came to help my church at a VBS program. This worldly style was showing its face even then. that was about 1988. This is very sad. This is the church of Sardis or as you state the Laodicean church.
Going to church and Christian worship is not about being entertained, but it is about expressing faith in and giving
thanks, honor, and glory to Almighty God, with due respect and reverence (Psalms 117 & 122)! And too frequently
it seems when I go to church these days I tend to see little if any evidence of the REAL Jesus Christ who is God the
Son and Savior (Book Of Isaiah, 53: 1-12; Gospel Of John, 1: 1-34 & 3: 16-21 & 14: 1-7)!!
This is not a church worshipping and glorifying Jesus Christ. They are worshipping and glorifying the world... 😒😪

I am really starting to wonder if this style of critiquing obvious heretics is effective.
I believe so. I started following Christ, and I went to this church for three months. I remember attending this exact service; looking back at it, I never realized how deceived I was. I remember this one time, I took a friend who isn't a believer, and she said: "That's sweet and all, but I feel like I can get the same boost from a motivational quote from Instagram."
When she said that it got me thinking, I started searching other sermons and videos like this that expose to me this isn't a church. Keep in mind, I didn't know about testing the spirit and what is heretics. I repented and truly started following Christ. These videos got me reading the Bible and understand how blinded I was. And thank the Lord that I can see by his truth and grace. Now, whenever I meet someone and they tell that they go to CBG (which surprising is a lot), I gently show them what's wrong with that church and see if they are truly saved.
Maybe part of the “persecution of the saints” is going to be subjecting them to endless hours of vids starring the pop artists of the day! ( said TIC of course!)

What does your RUclips name mean. It has changed over the years. How can we be sure that what you say leads us to understand Jesus Christ, Yeshua, is indeed our Messiah? Surely, this is your mission? (At this point I thank you from freeing me from subscribing to Bethel Church. I was saved in the
Third Wave Revival from Toronto in1995. I now question where that salvation leads. What is church today? Surely when one or two gather in His name He will be with us. Sounds like Christian marriage is church.) For me, love The Lord your God... ( Matthew 22:37 to 40) is how I choose to live my life although I often fall short. The moment I got off my ''meds" both spiritually and psychologically, is when I started to understand that I shouldn't have been in that church in the first place or even volunteer as a door greeter there. (Was there last year during the "space thingy" and just in time for "jungle cruise"adorable yes but unchristian) yes I was a complete dumbass but even more so to fall for what those guys said. I just couldn't see it and had a veil over me. I was very scared at that time..and I didn't feel any worship in that church, nor in any church of the neighborhood. They deserve no respect. Don't follow them. Step away...is God calling to seek him and not vanity. I will never look back again..thanks God for saving me before their false baptism.PTL!(and leading me to true Christianity which is humility and obedience to his true word!)

I've always seen Disney as a cult. It's like a religion to some people. They eat, drink and sleep Disney and it has always given me the willies to see how rapt they are about Disney.

I kinda don’t get this one. Sorry. I mean, granted that pastor is all over the place, doesn’t reference (much) the Bible and probably shouldn’t be in a pulpit - BUT - I see NOTHING wrong with sprinkling in experiential or pop culture references to drive a point home (moderately) as Jesus himself used parables to help ppl understand. You even mention this in your breakdown earlier in the video (about agriculture and fishing)....I def agree with your point, but on that issue I’m not quite on board
Maybe pray for spirit of discernment. In contrast to your statements...the Holy Spirit in me was making it obvious to me that the guy on the screen (insert/pseudo-sermon) was engaged in practices of witchcraft. I could not even keep my focus on that...it was making me feel sick. He was doing much worse than "sprinkling in" references.
