      @James Taylor It's simple! because that type of music, playing on people's emotions, itching ear type of a message that usually is man centered and it focuses on your well being is not preaching. You WON'T find any part in their messages that would be offensive to the unregenerate. This is simply world & culture attacking the Church. Not to mention that she should not be up there preaching in a duly set congregation which is absolutely forbidden by the scriptures. And your assumption that most of the people in churches especially this kind of church are believers is just so wrong brother. Praying a sinner prayer and raining your hands do not make a christian.

      Charisma: from the Greek: χάρις: meaning grace and favour.
      Jesus Christ approves of the charismatic approach, in the same way He approves of the baptist approach.
      baptist: from the Greek:βάφτισο: meaning to be immersed.
      Both methods are wrapped up in the move of the Spirit of God and can not be spoken poorly of, lest we grieve the Holy Spirit by speaking against what He is doing in the Earth today.

      @James Taylor I really had a hear time understanding your comment regarding hymns that we would hold so dear. There might be few charismatic churches that really teach the Gospel, but know that has nothing to do with the charismatic movement. If anything good comes out of those churches, it's because the Word of God is live and active and the Word is doing its work. I highly urge you to study the history of the Pentecostal and Charismatic movement starting early 1900s. Also, keep in mind that it's the charismatic movement that has produced all of the charlatans and fake healers and all these greedy pastors who are only after your wallet.
      I don't want to go back and forth here with you, but honestly no one with a sound theology would like to associate themselves with such movement because simply this movement has very little to do with theology. Charismatic preachers in majority have one thing in common and that is a man-centered teachings where man is exalted. Charismatic movement is not even Protestant because they really can't trace their roots back to the reformers so let's keep these two separate please.

    Is there anyone besides me who actually *grieves* at the state of church congregation places these days? (We are Christ's church, thus I call them what I did). I grieve every day about it. I (stupidly) was looking for a congregation place around here two weeks ago since we are to "assemble with other believers" and I couldn't find a one who was not either involved in the NAR heresies, in heresy in general, or doing things like using Hillsong's music or other unchristian acts. Just CAN'T find one, and I live in a tourist "paradise" with one of these places on every corner. Once again (HUGE surprise), Jesus was right. The "great falling away"/"great apostasy" continues. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! We have such a drought of worship and preaching of the *truth* of God's word in the land! Some of us would starve to death spiritually if we didn't worship on our own regularly and read/study the word daily. Thank GOD for Sermons on You Tube by those Godly men already gone Home like David Wilkerson (my favorite), Charles Spurgeon, and Leonard Ravenhill. The Internet is also a treasure trove of Sermons (also SermonIndex.com) and information about these men and more. Lest I forget, lots of teachings tapes and debates here on You Tube by the late Dr. Walter Martin. He was one of a kind. and no one has come close yet.

      Mary Mclocke wow, I thought I wrote this cos you sound like me 😉 I’m in the exact same position! I’ve given up looking for church that is truly a church! Now all I have is His Word and brethren online, but that is more than enough rather than be amongst people I can’t even talk to about this stuff!
      Last time I tried to join a BAPTIST church down the road, the pastor is pretty sound but they had a Hillsong youth minister teaching the kids (he himself only in his early 20’s so can’t yet hav a full understanding of teaching the Word), we sang Hillsong songs and then when I spoke to some people after the meeting over tea and coffee and they were asking which church I came from and said I was on Hillsong YEARS ago, before they heard why I left (for Hillsong being unbiblical and disobedient in the running of the church according to scripture), they were Earhart telling me how wonderful the Hillsong conference is and that they go every year and one lovely lady was telling me how her kids go to a catholic school and I kindly asked her if she doesn’t oppose Catholicism and she said “we are all one in Christ” and I didn’t have the heart to tell her that a sound Christian (which she genuinely at first appeared to be) would never trust their children in the catholic system! That was the 5th church I tried to join, I can’t be bothered anymore because I just offend people when I tell them the truth!
      Now I see it as though “Christ offends”, even those who assume they are in Christ but sadly don’t seek out the matter for themselves! I just get looks from these Christians like I used to only get from unbelievers!
      I dunno 🤷‍♀️

      Mary Mclocke ps. I don’t mean to offend anyone though! I only just seek truth-above all else!

During this time Holy Spirit really taught me scripture. It's amazing how well one can learn when one gets alone with the H.S. and the Word of God. When I went back to this church a few yrs later(long story) everything had changed. New pastor's, pews had been discarded with dark chairs in their place. Carpet replaced with dark carpet. Walls painted dark gray. No more hymns only hillsing type music. I felt uncomfortable their. I haven't gone back.

It takes two to three years of study and training...to be prepared to teach members of a congregation. Not saying that a person with years of seminary training is necessarily going to be a great pastor. I am saying that churches should not hire pastors, without setting out a high standard. Thank you for your comment.

    Dear Bezel, I appreciate your videos, but I have to disagree that seminary training is a prerequisite for teaching God's Word to others. In Acts 4:13, the Pharisees were astounded that Peter and John were ignorant and unlearned but spoke powerfully because they had been with Jesus. Seminaries churn out a lot of false teaching as well. There are certain principles of interpretation that are helpful, but we don't have to have seminary to learn them.

    • @Terminus_El_Camino
      @Terminus_El_Camino 6 лет назад +7

      I agree, in that seminary is neither a prerequisite nor a guarantee of good preparation for ministry. That said, I believe that training from a reputed seminary would be desirable. However, I've seen some well self-studied people who have by necessity taken the role of pastor and thrived in it. Generally, their desire would be to get formal training in addition to what they've done.

      Thanks for your response.
      I just wonder if the requirements given in Titus and Timothy are enough, or if we need to have stamps of approval from institutions that charge 20k-30k/year for principles that could be taught in small groups within the assembly. This is from someone who went to Bible school. I am becoming more and more skeptical of the need for "professionals" in the body that do all the heavy lifting while people in the congregation are basically spectators. Part of the reason that people fall for false teaching is that they are conditioned to be passive listeners, not active participants in the worship meeting. I guess what I'm saying is that while we complain about false teaching, we support a system of assembly (one speaker, everyone listens) that unconsciously bolsters the opportunity for false teachings to spread.
      For example, I recently heard seminary trained pastor (from one of the TOP seminaries in the country) say that Ahab was a type of Christ. What? Because there is no opportunity in the congregation for dialogue or Q+A, if the pastor says something, it is taken as "gospel," no pun intended.

    • @songbird5782
      @songbird5782 6 лет назад +4

      @@fricasee2000 I agree in part to what you say. It is a fine line to walk. Way too often I have heard men and women get up and "preach" and obviously had no idea what the scriptures say. They have no idea how to rightly divide the Word. They think the "stories" are about them or their church or America. And they babble on and their congregation claps and says amen. Of course there are seminary trained people that obviously never payed attention or they had a very bad teacher. The answer would be for everyone to read and study their bible, but we know that isn't gonna happen.

    • @jevans344
      @jevans344 6 лет назад +3

      Seminary specifically ya not be a prerequisite, but being learned is. Peter and John learned from JESUS. The greatest teacher of all time. Yours is a very bad example. While the Holy Spirit gives us discernment, we still need to understand the original writings in the original language in order to fully understand.

    • @fricasee2000
      @fricasee2000 6 лет назад

      @@jevans344 Thanks. I stand by the example. Peter and John were considered unlearned according to the Jewish leadership(the seminarians of their day). I am not saying that they weren't learned, just that they weren't the "seminary trained" of their day. Of course, I understand that they learned from Jesus. My point is exactly that. Being learned doesn't mean going to seminary. A true follower will seek to understand the true meaning of Scripture and be guided by the Holy Spirit. As far as reading and understanding biblical languages, basic understandings can be had with a Strong's Concordance. Again, I have heard learned, seminary-trained preachers speak false doctrine. The point of the video is to say that seminary training is needed to speak to a congregation, which I disagree with. Thanks for your time.

    As always, I enjoyed the teaching. But I take exception to one of your extrapolations. You equate (or claim causality) a lack of Biblical fidelity with a lack of seminary education. When in fact this is a non-sequitur. Though often a poor understanding of hermeneutics or a lack of education in a systematic theology may cause sloppy (or even heretical) teaching, there is a myriad of highly educated, seminary-trained preachers teaching just as deplorably. And where I live there are thousands of people who are leading churches as true pastors that have no educational qualifications at all, other than that they have been thoroughly discipled by someone as per the great commission. To add a layer of qualification for leading a church is not Biblical and certainly can stymie the expansion of church planters and disciple-makers.

In my opinion, every Christian should study the Word in a structured way...to be prepared for witnessing to unsaved relatives and colleagues. With reference to people calling themselves preachers and pastors...this is an extremely important verse. A preacher should know the Word, as we have received it, and should adhere to the Word...to the God-breathed words of our Old and New Testaments. A so-called preacher who is up there just winging it...without some years of study and formal training, is not worth my time and attention. I do appreciate these BEZELT3 videos...

    I am a big fan of this particular site. The ability for you, Mr. Bezel to rightly divide God's word and call out false teaching is usually at the forefront of your teaching. But I think there is something askew with the emphasis in this "sermon" criticism. The errors of her mishandling of scripture and the incorrect definition of the Holy Spirit and His role are good points to reveal. But to come to the conclusion that this is a call, even a Biblical mandate, for seminary training is a mishandling of its own. To use 2 Tim 4 or any other passage as a call to seminary training is stretch to say the least. There are thousands of seminary trained men and women that walk in to blasphemy every week and thousands of untrained (having not attended seminary) teachers of God's word delivering biblical truth. In general, I would prefer that a teacher of God's word to receive some official training. But this is not an absolute (nor a Biblical) mandate. And of all of the extrapolations you could have made from the investigation of this silly version of a "sermon", I am not sure why you went to formal education.

No talk of sin, repentance or salvation. There was no doctrine at all. To be fair though, most of the NAR male ministers don't do any better. She was only doing what she saw others do. Thanks for the time you take to research and explain.I was in this NAR/charismatic movement for many years and any one who spoke against it was thought of as not having received the Holy Spirit or needed to be born again. But the Lord in His mercy let me go through very traumatic experiences over a long period of time to see the error of this type of teaching, so I do understand how difficult it is to understand what you are saying when that was the only type of Christianity you knew. I now see how unreceptive my friends are if I try to tell them, they receive it as me being unloving and critical and think I have gone backward in my Christian undrrstanding.
    But praise be to God, with Him all things are possible! I will never exchange the relationship that I now have with the Lord for the hyped up Gnostic Christianity of the Charismatic Movement. She does not even have as much training as a seminary would provide. I am seminary trained...from a seminary which was orthodox and far from being apostate. Leaders of my seminary took a stand against ordination of gay people...and argued against ordination of women. The basis for this argument was the leadership of Paul the Apostle. Leaders of my seminary made an official break with the Episcopal church, as a response to Episcopal decisions concerning same sex marriages and ordinations. So a sincere Christian with a pastoral calling does have options. Even today, a certain number of Seminaries provide Biblically correct training.

      Apparently you don't if you honestly believe the Bible ever said women can't preach.
      The verse you'll point to is actually telling the unlearned women of the time to be quiet much the same way you tell your children to-- so that the men could hear and explain later.
      Stop pushing this false teaching that there's some role for women that doesn't include preaching in churches.

    @BEZELT3 I'm curious about your assessment of her explanation that God may have physically bent down and created man from dust. I do understand that God can speak things into existence, however, since Christ is a Person of the Trinity, I took that as His physical body is ever-present.
    So would it be too far-fetched to think that the Person of Christ might have physically used his hands in the creation?

    Graduating from seminaries requires regurgitating back to them what they taught. And they teach much error - Trinity (there is only the Father and Son and the shared Spirit of the Father that is NOT outsourced to another spirit person - 1John 1:3) and the preTrib supremacy of the Jew with reactivation of the Old Covenant and sacrifices,. Truly the millions in seminary funding by Kabbalists, Chabad, weren't wasted.
    1 John 2:27 KJV
    But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

    I don't understand how bezel can call her a sister in Christ she is without knowledge without the word. Come on call it what it is false teaching by a false preacher. She is in need of salvation and at this point in her life she is as far as far can be from that condition. The hardest to educate are those who think they already know... very sad.

      I have come across this too. They also say Cain is Satans son, even though genesis 4:1 debunks that whole narrative. Ask your brother if he believes Cain is Satans son and then point to Gen 4:1.

    • @snuggleb100
      @snuggleb100 6 лет назад +1

      Eli London he does believe Cain is Satan’s son. He said a woman can have relations with two men n have twins. Medically it’s possible from what I have read. But I’m no doctor tho. I’ll look that scripture up because Genesis 2 n 3 debunk all of this guy’s opinion such as a spiritual tree not a real one, Satan’s seed n eve having relations with Satan. The Bible says Adam was right there with her so how can the fruit be relations with Satan how was Adam corrupted then? It’s just more twisting of scriptures. Good bless

      3 1/2 years of personal discipleship with the Lord Jesus...sitting under His teaching and training. Two mission trips (sending out of the 12 and the 72) that were supervised by Jesus. And most importantly....personally commissioned by the Risen Savior to be His Apostle to the Jews. So, in other words, personally taught, trained and commissioned by Jesus. His Apostolic ministry was confirmed by signs and wonders and the writing of Holy Scripture.

    Dear well meaning fellow believer who preaches/teaches: Know the Word before you begin preparing a half hearted, all over the place sermon/study/lesson. You may not have a Bible school education but you have the Word and the God of the Word to depend on. We don't want to hear about you or a stupid joke here and there. We want to hear the Word of God being preached. Study, however, to show yourself approved. Thank you

    Why don't you declare your real name? .I would have thought such an openness would be the default in anyone of Christ. Given we are not to withhold or hide our true identity when we profess to speak in the values of heaven? Solely in Jesus Christ?
    There I go again....my lack of formal theological training or stamp of approval from this world...making me say all kinds of things. But..the holy spirit is true and good...so I stand by every word I have written in his grace.

    Normally love your critique however your dictate that one must know Greek/ Hebrew and be seminaried in order to preach is simply wrong. Only Paul had your credentials so all the others must be , unqualified. ALL men who are well read in the bible, who research, who know how to rightly divide the Word of God can and are encouraged to share the Gospel whether with one or 1000.
