@@paulc7190 many believers aren't called to be wonder workers, but to be rich in the character of Christ and skilled in the Gospel. John the Baptist performed no miracle, neither did Jeremiah, David or Apollos.
Salvation doesn't have to be confirmed by signs because the many prophecies about Christ in the old testament confirm it. It's why Apollos demonstrated through the scriptures that Jesus is the Messiah (in Acts 18).
I've got no problem with charismatic ministries, but I am against churches that try to force supernatural phenomenon when it clearly isn't there.

"as the lights went down"...first red flag. Can't read a bible in the dark. Crazy loud music to assault your ears so you can't think properly. "Music" that has no Christian doctrine in it - just love, love, love, love, happy, happy, happy, blah, blah, blah. Fake tongues (look at me I'm so spiritual-more so than any of you out there in the dark). Prayers for all worldly blessings (healing, finances blah, blah, blah). Let's yell and call it praise - more manipulation (stand up - sit down - turn to your neighbour (Canadian spelling :)). "We love you Lord!!!!!!!!!" I think not. If they really did, they would obey His word. Invest to the kingdom of God (translation - give us money). I can't listen to any more. So awful. I'm Canadian - maybe you guessed, and live in southern Ontario (2 hours on the other side of Toronto) where I discovered a so-called church in my neighbourhood who's leader (I refuse to call him a pastor) told a story last year about raising his dog from the dead. These pseudo churches are everywhere, even here in Canada. Re: a commenter wondering about the masks...yes, so many people are still wearing them here - I see them all the time at the grocery stores and it looks like their numbers are growing lately. Anyway, just had to pop in and comment and say glad you are getting over THE COLD and I love your videos. Blessings to you and yours.

During the "worst" part of COVID (2020)--March---I started praying that the Church would improve (Biblically)---But by (2021)--June---I realized it wasn't going to get any better, so in July I left and I found a Church where the Pastor does expository preaching and they sing the old hymns, have Adult Sunday School, and go out witnessing on Saturday mornings...YAY...Who would have thought I would find this place, in the San Francisco Bay Area?? However, when I asked the worship music leader, she said "thank God we don't have to sing those God-forsaken hymns anymore" I couldn't believe my ears! Everything was being changed to mimic Willow Creek and Saddleback (Rick Warren). From then on, we were to change everything to draw in the goats and make them happy! @@Bobepc Sir, I present you with receipts:
First, in answer to the question, "Does a Christian cease to be a Christian, whenever he commits a sin?", Finney answers:
"Whenever he sins, he must, for the time being, cease to be holy. This is self-evident. Whenever he sins, he must be condemned; he must incur the penalty of the law of God ... If it be said that the precept is still binding upon him, but that with respect to the Christian, the penalty is forever set aside, or abrogated, I reply, that to abrogate the penalty is to repeal the precept, for a precept without penalty is no law. It is only counsel or advice. The Christian, therefore, is justified no longer than he obeys, and must be condemned when he disobeys or Antinomianism is true ... In these respects, then, the sinning Christian and the unconverted sinner are upon precisely the same ground (p. 46)."
Finney believed that God demanded absolute perfection, but instead of that leading him to seek his perfect righteousness in Christ, he concluded that "... full present obedience is a condition of justification. But again, to the question, can man be justified while sin remains in him? Surely he cannot, either upon legal or gospel principles, unless the law be repealed ... But can he be pardoned and accepted, and justified, in the gospel sense, while sin, any degree of sin, remains in him? Certainly not" (p. 57).

And I was like "oh no I'm bleeding!!!" Everybody ran from me. I went in the hallway and I was like "somebody help me! I'm bleeding I'm pregnant!"
Everybody ran from me. That was the most abusive church that I was ever apart of.. then I was kicked out of the church. Why? Because I was pregnant. I'm not even gonna get into the details of that. They knew what happened and still blamed me because I drank.
Attitudes like this have me convinced that women have abortions all the time just to keep from the church finding out. My babies are growing up great and they're doing all right. But my oldest has a lot of memories from it and hates God because of it. She even admits she believes in God but she hates Him because of everything that church put us through. We lost everything we knew when I was told to: leave and find a church that was better suited for sluts like me.

We are an extension of Jesus Christ ... but the church in Canada is a consumer church ... like going to a store looking for what fits me today and if it doesnt on to the next store. The church here in Canada lacks understanding of what it is and its place in society. That lack of understanding has allowed the evil one to snatch away what has been sown in the heart of Canadian christians. I pray regularlily Ezekial 34 that God would remove the false shepherds and raise up true shepherds that will hear from the Chief Shepherd and feed His flock. Its good that this man is actually visiting these "mega churches" we are in trouble and it started before Covid ... Megachurches, Christian "Influencers", and all the other types of people that have found creative ways to deceive you and sell you an already free relationship with God have truly ruined church language for me.
I have trouble litening to any one who uses too much "churchspeak" because its always used for some sort of mental manipulation and to dance around the truth. The truth of God does need long explanations of you going into the spirit, while attaching your armor, with a hedge of protection, that has 20 angels all rebuking the devil, cause whatever you loose in the spirit world Manifests! In the Real. Dramatic pause and tear then explain that its a season ....for breakthroughs.....its a season for miracles...its a season for Jesus and I thank Jesus for allowing me to give yall a deal on this book. Brian, I think the crisis in Western Christendom is that our men are really ill-equipped to handle, read, and preach and teach The Scripture. By this I mean even when I was asked to lead a simple Bible study with 2 weeks to prepare of Nehemiah Chapter 9&10, I was fearful and trembling because I wanted to glorify God with the lesson. I am not a seminarian but since joining a local church more in the Reformed tradition I and my wife have ALOT of Biblical “catching up” to do. It is a fearful joy to have the responsibility of exegeting Scripture. A tension is there that you do not want to bring reproach on God, The Father, Christ The Son, or Holy Spirit, our Counsellor.

@@vanessaloy1049 I'm not 100% sure but to my knowledge the masonic lodge was more of a group or organization, a brotherhood of Christians back at that time before it morphed or changed into a cult. If you read some of the founding fathers writings which I have like from Gearge Washington for example they convey a true Christian witness and not at all a cult of what masonic lodge is today. Other than that I don't know why their is so called masonic symbolism in certain American things. Much is conspiracy theories from imaginative writers.

Its hard for me to visit "foreign" churches (not meaning a country) because if the pastor (in name) started off with the fake dribble of tongues, I would be forced to jump out of my seat and with a loud voice give the interpretation. |t would be a loud rebuke and a demand to be silent. But that is me and why I cannot visit them - for my righteous anger would cause my eviction - aside the fact that it is not a nice thing to do as it is my hope those within would do it themselves!.. but I digress. ....

    Nothing happens without God's permission.
    What is faith?
When we pray we come believing in Jesus. That is believe that He is God and created all things that ever were created whether in heaven or in earth.
And we must believe that he died for the sins of the world and rose again on the third day triumphant. So we must be cleansed in His blood. Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Born again.
    We must believe His Words.
Having faith is not believing God is going to solve all my problems, teach so-and-so a lesson, make me wealthy, get me a new car, heal my body, pay my bills, or otherwise fix my woes and make my life peachy.
Having faith is believing in Jesus that he died for our sins and rose again. That is not just mouthing words but believing unto repentance and life changing. Our belief causes us to trust and obey Jesus and surrender our lives to him and put him first in all things because we have been granted repentance unto life.
We become aware of our sins before God and mourn. We are sorry we have Grieved God and lived that way. We believe the Words of Jesus/the Bible. We seek Jesus His way.
We read the bible and pray everyday. We confess our sins and pray for strength and pray God purify our hearts and teach us.
We yield our will to His. This is faith. That his will be done.
He will change our heart to have his desires. To do things his way and be obedient. To accept his will and to have peace in the midst of trials, persecutions and tribulations. To have love and compassion and mercy. To have forgiveness and all the fruit of the Spirit and to seek to be obedient and pleasing to God in all things. To put him first and to desire to obey and please him above all things. That is faith; real faith. To love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul, and strength and mind.
The more you do these things the more faith you have.
If we do not believe Jesus died for our sins and rose again on the third day , what right do we have to come before the throne?
We must come through Jesus, confessing our sins and in repentance. We must be cleansed.
    John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me
    Isaiah 59:2
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear
    Proverbs 15:8
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is his delight

Music too loud to hear your own thoughts, tongues without an interpreter, people speaking words the Lord probably didn't tell them to say and with their Holy Spirit superpowers, enough bingo words to fill out a sheet, and finally, no food for the Lord's sheep! Whatever happened to just cracking open a Bible and reading from it, filling in with historical context so we can understand it better?

Thanks for sharing! My greatest concern in some of these mega churches as you describe, is that preaching has lost a sacredness and humbleness of heart by the preacher. Performance seems to be the order of the day. We need to feel, sense, and even desire the conviction of the Holy Spirit, so that we do our best to represent our Lord as genuine preachers of a very Holy God! I feel embarrassed at time when pastors get to casual with their preaching and make the Eternal Lord of All, look like a “good ole boy”
That you can slap on the back. Reverence has been lost unfortunately.
