Just love these Pinnacle line, started with the 10” pan for camping, while trying it at home I was impressed with the performance, I bought the small kit for camping, added the 5 liter tub so I could fit plates, a small stainless pot for coffee and an Ozark Trail cup all fitted nice inside the tub, added a UCO utensil combo and a separate pot grabber since the one provided gets too hot to interchange, I car camp so weight is not an issue. Took it in the field, again the performance was outstanding so I bought the big set to keep in my second home in Baja which is a 30’ trailer, not much space for cookware. Now I’m able to have quality cookware in Baja that doesn’t take much space, and my modified small set for camping. Thanks for the video.👍🏻 very well done.

Woah that’s quite an impressive set-up you’ve made for yourself. Good call on just throwing everything in the tub for grab’n’go car camping, I’ll try that myself this summer. And thanks for the kind words!

Hilarious end analogy of the set being like someone you’re dating which then leads to “I’ll keep using it til it dies”. I found the review to be very endearing though!

Nice review, but there is something wrong with your kit. The two lids are actually supposed to be of different size, where the large one fits the pan and the large pot!

Woah, really? That would make way more sense. I always wondered why they included 2 exact same lids. I always had to use the pan as a cover for the pot. Must have been an oversight in packaging. Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for watching 👍🏽

How’s this hold up on an open fire? Are those lids safe to have on whole boiling water?

If you were to buy a cook set now to replace your GSI Basecamper today...What would it be?

LMFAO when you compared the pans to a relationship. I almost squirted my coffee out on the screen. I like that you showed that the lids dont fit. That is so weird.

Thanks for the review, not too many reviews for this set. Your teflon coating looks to be in 'ok' shape, but definitely not perfect. I'm curious if you could let us know what sort of utensils you use in the pan (wood, plastic, metal), and what you've been using to clean. I'm trying to decide if I want my next set to be this (non-stick) or Stainless Steel. Thanks!

Yeah, my set is in rough shape as I’ve been using it for years now. I generally try to use plastic utensils on this pan, though admittedly I have used metal on it several times as well when the need arose. For washing this set in the backcountry I use Sea to Summit’s multi-purpose wash (I think it’s called wilderness wash). Good luck with picking your next set! I’ve never had a stainless steel set, so I can’t give my opinion on it. Hope this helped and thanks for watching!

Stainless steel has advantages in terms of holding heat and heating evenly. But no matter what you do - seasoning, temp monitoring, etc., at some point you will have food stick and will have to spend additional time cleaning it. If Stanley would put a non-stick coating on the even heat fry pan, they'd own the market. But they won't likely add that feature. For simple ease of cleaning, I've gone back to a non-stick aluminum pan. Just quicker and easier to deal with.

    Is it really non stick?

Why two lids if both only fit the smaller pot?

Way too many " ohms". Learn how to not say " um, erm, ohm, etc.
