Me, I always try to have conversations when I'm standing/sitting next to someone to avoid eye contact :D
I always took into their eyes for a couple of seconds and then I look at something else to avoid that awkward feeling ^^
Haziq Zamri Yeah I have this uncontrollable urge to look away ,even if it's somebody I like and I'm consciously trying to keep eye contact. It just cannot be done. Perhaps it's because I don't like to draw attention to myself at all.

Right I have to work with this guy everyday and I try to make small talk with him because we work in such close quarters. He doesn't furthur share after I ask him questions and he never initiates conversations. I always have to start it. Its very awkward and it's not my fault. I'm playing my role.
Just don't give a fuck, if you feel like talking and he doesn't wanna give much of a response, just don't care. Like you people need to realize that this is all in your head, the minute yu stop giving a fuck you'll realize that you were just over thinking, clear your thoughts and focus on you and the ones that truly care about you.
I would add something very important for me.. Be cultivated. I think it's essential to hold an interesting conversation. Great video as always !

How to talk to people when you are the person they are intimidated by. I'm 6'7 255lbs and I'm athletic not fat. Whenever I go to talk to people (especially guys) I can really feel them being extremely cautious incase they say something that might offend me. I don't get offended easily and I'm extremely nice and kind (gentle giant) but it's very deflating when the person you talk to is scared of you. Great video btw.

One thing that I learned from a close friend of mine. Always show that the person you are speaking to is important and worth learning from. Even if you have no interested in their passion, show them whatever they are into has value in the world. This technique will go a long way in a conversation.
But whatever you do, don't be fake with it.
This is aurguably the best non-fashion related video you have ever made. Simple, concise and to the point. I always wondered why I am reviered for my abilaty to hold conversations with some of my friends and not others, and you adressed that right out of the gate; my presupositions about what they wanted to talk about. I now realize it is more important to just throw caution to the winds and just freeflow with them until I find what sticks.

About the nodding thing, I used to have the opposite issue sometimes; I would occasionally overdo the nodding, especially if it was with someone in a more senior position to me, or on a date with a really attractive girl, probably coming across as overly eager to please. Gotta find a happy medium.
The spacing out and not paying attention while others talk thing is the biggest one for me, and probably a lot of people. I think ADD may play a role here. Sometimes it's not a big deal, but sometimes it can happen when it's an important conversation. If I'm nervous sometimes, I find myself thinking about thinking, or "meta-thinking", and this distracts my attention away from the interaction.

Jose love the tips man you really know your stuff. This is way off topic but you really gotta try to train your neck to get bigger. It's a forgotten body part just like calves and forearms, but it makes a huge impact on how you look. You have great aesthetics already and I know you want to stay lean, having a big neck will help keep your head looking proportional to your torso and will also make you look much better in t shirts, button downs, and all clothing in general.

Thank you, I can't wait to try these techniques. I have social anxiety so having conversations with others is really hard for me but I wont let the anxiety take over my life! I know it'll be challenging to express the way I feel to others but trying won't hurt 😀. The more I try, the more I learn.

I used to be really nervous talking to women. To the point I would actually start sweating a lot, which made me even more nervous. But what I’ve done, which has actually helped a lot. Is to not look at her as another women, but just a normal person. I can talk to dudes, why not girls? Well just look at everyone as people. Anyways, this doesn’t work when i try to talk to my crush though. I guess I have too much feelings for her to be able to just look at her as just another person.
