    im still rocking the big town, once I did the propane attachment I never went back to pellets. even with the big horn I had to many disasters like this with the fire. love your vids man keep the pizzas coming.

      Thanks for watching. Big horn is still my favorite. For how often I use it I’ve got the pellets down pretty good. 👍 might try and modify one of the ovens I have to run on propane soon!

    Though it can use pellets, there's no real air flow in between the tiny gaps of the pellets allowing it to burn hotter. You'll probably benefit by using lump or briquette charcoal that when 0ioed together will have much larger air gaps between to promote a raging fire that isn't solely burning just the upper layer.
    Might even consider starting the charcoal with a charcoal chimney letting them ash over (like normal) before adding red hot charcoal to the fire basket.
